Great food, excellent service and a really nice restaurant to relax in. We have been here several times now and it doesn't disappoint. Abul makes you feel very welcome, and the rest of the staff are attentive and helpful. You can take your own drink and it's probably best to book in advance (which is very simple on their website). We are already looking forward to another visit.

The whole experience was fantastic, from the amazing cuisine to the attentive service. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the coconut coriander salmon starter. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening out. Abul was extremely polite and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended!!!

The best curry I’ve ever had was a perfect blend of rich spices and deep, layered flavors. Each bite was a harmonious mix of heat and warmth, with tender, melt-in-your-mouth pieces of meat and perfectly cooked vegetables. The sauce was creamy but not heavy, with just the right balance of tanginess and sweetness. It left a lingering warmth that made me want to savor every spoonful. Simply unforgettable!

From start to finish, a wonderful experience, excellent hospitality, professional, Abul was a superb host, recommended food choice which were a delight. Family from Austria "flavours just like home". We endeavour to be back with more family and friends.

We were running late due to our train being delayed but the lovely staff held our table and were fully accommodating even though we had arrived late. Group of 6 visited on a Saturday without a reservation, but were quickly given seats outside as inside was busy and fully booked, every one of our party commented on how good the food was, and how friendly and attentive the staff were, in particular Robi, would definitely visit again next time I fly from Birmingham.

Visited Lavang tonight with my mother and wife for dinner. After eating we all agreed we cannot remember the last time we had such superb Indian food. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. The restaurant is quite small but decor and ambience provided a cosy yet classy feel. It is worth noting that although Lavang doesn’t sell alcohol they welcome you to bring your own and there is a shop next door where you can buy it. Unfortunately its a little far for us to make it our regular takeaway but this place will definitely be our go to place in future when we decide to go out for Indian food.

Great service, from start to finish. The inclusion of Thai food on the menu was a great bonus. The Thai chicken wings were superb, as were the prawns. Railway lamb was excellent with the lamb being very tender. My wife had lamb chops and garlic mushrooms, also very good. First visit but not the last.

This restaurant is very good for couples small groups and large groups. We booked this restaurant for our monthly outing for our CURRY CLUB. From our first enquiry to the moment we arrived the restaurant could not have been more accommodating. A specific person, Abul looked after our booking, and it’s fluctuating numbers! 17 of us arrived on a Monday night to what was already a busy restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. We were greeted by Abul personally who had sorted out our booking and shown to our section of the restaurant where they had reserved a number of tables for us. The decor of the restaurant is most impressive sporting a beautiful white blossom ceiling. The service was extremely friendly and efficient and dietary preferences accommodated, with no fuss at all. Our starters arrived with a lovely touch of theatre … steaming clouds engulfing our table ( provided by dry ice in bowls.) Everyone enjoyed delicious starters that were beautifully presented and were equally complimentary about the main courses The prices were reasonable, and it is take your own alcoholic drinks. The service was excellent throughout with all the staff being extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It speaks fathoms about the restaurant that it was so busy on a Monday night. This is certainly a place,we will be returning to .

Excellent Indian meal last night. I highly recommend eating here if you enjoy good Indian food. The staff are friendly and make you very welcome, the service is very good and the Resturant has a warm and friendly atmosphere. I live in Somerset, have visited India twice and none of my local Indian restaurants compare to the high standards at Lavang. They truly offer an authentic choice of food. Lavang scores excellently in all the aspects you need for a wonderful meal. Food is delicious, the menu has a lot of variety, the portions are big, the ambience is very pleasant and one of the main differences with other restaurants is the staff. The staff at Lavang is very enthusiastic and friendly, and will surely make your experience at the restaurant worth remembering. A special mention for Abul, who is very passionate and helpful, I bet his sense of humour will surely bring a smile on everyone’s face!

Pre booked a table, we were flying from BHX the next day and staying in Solihull overnight. Well worth stepping out of the town to visit this restaurant.
