Rickshaw Express in Solihull

The food from rickshaw express is always lovely. Great tasting and always hot. The issue we have had the last 2 weeks is the delivery driver is leaving our food is being left on the step. The delivery driver is just walking away and getting in his car. I understand this probably isn't rickshaw express directly but wanted to make it aware!

Quite simply Hit the spot! Very tasty food cannot fault it in anyway. Piping hot, very nice flavours, I asked for green chillies and made it the way I liked it, which is spicy 👍😅

This place never fails to impress we order here probably twice a month and every time the standards are high.

Only moved to the area recently. What a find the Rickshaw was. Friendly staff. Expert chefs. If you need advice on a meal just ask they cook it just to your liking and you can watch them cook it. Their meals are reasonably priced and excellent. I have eaten many Indian curries in the last 40+ years and if you are wondering in some very expensive restaurants. Theirs are one of the best I have ever had.

Rude owner. Spoke to my wife with racist overtones calling her a 'foreigner' Considering she's an English teacher I think the misunderstanding was on their side of the telephone. Needless to say we won't be returning to the rickshaw express. You can see the utter disdain for they have in relation to any form of customer service.

I didn’t feel like cooking tonight. Our friends recommend we try Rickshaw Express. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We chose the set meal for 2 and the food was so good. Will definitely go there again.

had chicken curry boiled rice and a nan bread from here tonight have used previously but not reviewed but decided i would tonight as food was so tasty ,rice is absolutely perfect and moreish staff were so lovely and polite they brought my food out to my car as i went in and ordered really nice experience and really nice people

Our first delivery from them today and it was so so so so good! My chicken tikka korma was amazing, my partner said his prawn madras was gorgeous, the pilau rice was fluffy and the garic naan was sumptious! Plenty left for lunch tomorrow! Fast delivery and all hot and fresh. 🥰

Rickshaw express open kitchen Indian & Bangladeshi Takeaway was recommended to me and after hearing good things about it I had decided to make my first order. The place was smart, clean and staff were very helpful. I ordered some Chef's signature dishes, Mushroom pilau rice, Fresh tasty tandoori nan breads and my favourite Hyderabadi Biryani, Which i watched being cooked in front of my eyes as the whole kitchen was open plan, never seen this before. Now I knew the food was fresh and didn't mind waiting for it. I was given free popadoms, mint sauce and a further 10% off for Collecting it as the order was over £10. The food was above my expectations and now I know what the fuss is about. I will really recommend it. well price with a good selection of soft drinks. This place is a great find.

I tend to pop in to order the naan, it is always freshly made and light and fluffy. I'm generally not a fan of curry. However, I've had some of the starters before which were quite good!

not my usual curry house i order from, had been recommended so decided to have a delivery from rickshaw, called for a delivery and asked for my usual indian order of a chicken morchii; they didn’t even know what that curry was even though it’s a popular indian curry…ended up been put through to manager as nobody understood what i wanted to order, ended up giving up and asked for most recommended curry and got delivered a curry inedible it is THAT spicy 🤒 don’t recommend!!! haven’t eaten and if i did try and eat it i’d be in hospital with the 💩’s it was THAT spicy!!! 🤢

Ordered two curries and extras from just eat and only just started eating a chicken balti I ordered and bit into a piece of wire wool in my food ! Couldn’t carry on eating after that completely put me off , really disappointed and couldn’t order again :(

OMG! I have just moved to Wharf lane & somebody recommended Rickshaw express to me, now I must be honest I’m EXTREMELY fussy as I have a lot of Asian friends so I’m used to proper home cooking not the bland stuff usually knocked out by takeaways!! Well I can assure you without a shadow of doubt this is by the far the BEST Indian takeaway I have probably ever had, and no offence to my friends but their Sheek kebabs are better than my mates parents!! If you don’t eat here you’re losing out!! Rachel

Our family love this take out. Its mostly consistent with its meals but the some dishes change in heat (spicy) on different occasions. Big Crispy poppadoms with yummy side sauces for them. Will be returning again and again

Not only were we made to wait over 2 hours for delivery but the food we did receive because a portion of rice was missing was unbelievably poor quality and not one of us finished our meals. £70 wasted the best part of that order was the free bottle of Pepsi that came with it

Credit where credit is due. Ordered the Tandoori Murghi Massalla, (added king prawns)... well ... this dish was so exceptional that we had to call them after we’d eaten to tell them how much we enjoyed that dish. Now, we can sit back & enjoy all the flavours that have created a party in our bellies !! We’ve never had a bad dish from this place. Thanks Rickshaw Express. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!

By far the best place for Indian takeaway in Solihull! So pleased these guys set up here. The food is really tasty, owners very friendly and prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Great Sag Paneer. Menu doesn't include many vegetarian dishes unfortunately, but they can point out the few they do have if you ask. Usually go by for collection and they're very nice and the food is done quickly and always tastes great.

We have had 2 meals from here now, with different meals each time. They are one of the nicest curry’s we have had. The portions are also quite large. The prices are extremely reasonable. The staff are friendly and very polite. We now have a now have a new regular curry house take away as opposed to our old one. Can’t recommend trying this menu and takeout enough.

Ordered from here for the first time this week, asked for a dish that’s not normally on the takeaway menu (mixed platter) but this was not a problem for them they were happy to accommodate. We've had a few curries since it opened and they've all been really nice. The staff are all really friendly and I reckon the food is probably the nicest in the area.

Greeted by very friendly staff, and I ordered a south indian garlic chilli chicken. Great to see it being cooked by having an open kitchen. The curry was one of the best I've eaten, not greasy or swimming in oil. Tasted fresh with loads of flavou . Will certainly be going back and think I've found my favourite takeaway.😊

Ordered a take away on the 26th feb and it was fantasitc friendly service fast delivery beatifull food and threw in some free dips salad pot onion bhajees and even went that extra mile and put in a little tiny mesh nag with wet wipe lollipop sweets cutlery and tissue. Will deffinatley be ordering again. Well done guys on your new business.

Just tried Rickshaw Express after our friends had a takeaway and said how good it was. We did a meal for 1 as we just wanted something small. Lamb chop starter, chicken tikka saagwala and rice, added a naan too. Absolutely fantastic. So tasty, really good portions and brilliant value for money. We have been regulars (as have our friends) with another popular takeaway in Solihull town centre and have to say, we’ll be switching to Rickshaw. Being at the top of our road makes it a bit dangerous though :)

The customer service was brilliant. Food was very fresh and tasty. Me and my family was welcomed well and was offered tea and coffee as soon as we walked in. Especially loved the mint sauce. 👌🏽

Quick delivery Food tasted amazing

Usually use another local takeaway (have used for 20+ years) but decided to take a chance on the new kid on the block. And pleased that I did. First off a box was used instead of plastic bags. Great, no more tipping over in the car! The food was hot and fresh and tasted fantastic. Portion size was average for takeaway food but more isn't always good, quality counts to me. Price, very reasonable and on par with what I'd normally pay. As I collected and live not far away, delivery wasnt used so cant pass comment. All in a great meal that left us all truly satisfied. Will certainly be ordering again soon.

Thought we would try this place out tonight being new , food was delicious best Indian takeout in the area by a country mile . Staff all very friendly and helpful , being a new restraunt the guys didn't have one of our starters but we was fully compensated with more than enough extra food to feed a extra person . Still give the guys a tip due to the great customer service. Shame you guys are literally a minute walk away I'll have to get a gym membership now as I'll be visiting very often . 100% recommend
