Have ordered from Rickshaw previously & the food has been good. Last night’s took a downturn. Grilled chicken wings had a texture of just being microwaved (not crispy whatsoever as they have been on previous orders). The main (chicken & mushroom balti) was reasonably tasty although lacking any degree of heat imo. They threw in a couple of free poppadoms tho which were good.

I called into Rickshaw Express while down for the Spring Fair at the NEC. The food was amazing and staff were really friendly and helpful. I had the mixed starter which was delicious and great value. The Peshwari Naan was one of the tastiest I have ever had. Totally recommend.

Very disappointed with the food! Lamb chops were very hard and the lamb from the lamb bhuna was very dry and hard. Didn’t look like the meat had been cooked with the curry. The meat had little holes in it like it had been on kebabs sticks. Food went in the bin, I won’t be ordering from this place again.

everything was fresh and nice... bar the two bags of chips, clearly last nights re fried, why ruin the whole lot over 2 bags of cheap chips?. my father inlaw choked on the chips they were so dry and inedible

This is by far the BEST Indian takeaway myself and my partner have ever tried (and trust me we’ve tried a lot🤣). We order from Rickshaw near enough every week and it is spot on every time! Tonight I ordered chicken pakora, chicken balti, egg fried rice, onion bhaji’s and a garlic naan.. all for £17 which is an absolute bargain! The curries are always delicious, the chicken pakoras and bhajis are lovely and crispy, and the food is always full of flavour and hot. Thank you for always cooking such lovely food🥰 Highly recommend!!

Was recommended to us by a friend. We were certainly not disappointed. The food was excellent as was the delivery. The total price was brilliant. Can not praise them enough. Will definitely be using Rickshaw from now on. Thank you guys for the amazing food.

stopped in birmingham and came across this little place very Nice food the owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and they serve BANGING food and that coming from a pakistani you must try thier mix grill DIFFRENT AND they use the old school naan bread and price is cheap me and a freind are both 20+stone and we ate till we were full for only £30 including drinks

Terrible artificially coloured food, raw naan , tandoori roti undercooked and chewy enough to build houses. Very greasy, poorly prepared food. Highly disappointed, would not recommend or order again

The food from rickshaw express is always lovely. Great tasting and always hot. The issue we have had the last 2 weeks is the delivery driver is leaving our food is being left on the step. The delivery driver is just walking away and getting in his car. I understand this probably isn't rickshaw express directly but wanted to make it aware!

Balti had a lovely flavour but sadly the chicken was a bit dry and there was way too much ghee for my liking.

Good quality Indian food around damson! So delicious!! So much to choose and try. Inlove the samosas!

Quite simply Hit the spot! Very tasty food cannot fault it in anyway. Piping hot, very nice flavours, I asked for green chillies and made it the way I liked it, which is spicy 👍😅

K.jalfrezi have tomato & onion with (paneer was good) but the gravy in it very disappointed. G.naan & T.naan was undercooked almost feels like its stale food.

1 item was disgusting and did not appear right. I couldn't eat it. It seemed gloopy like it was full of stringy cheese. It was meant to be a chicken tikka makhani which is normally red in colour but it was white/pale yellow. It's been sat in tub overnight in the kitchen and almost looks like a solid mass. I have logged it with just eat as I would like a refund but not heard back. Would not order from here again.

This place never fails to impress we order here probably twice a month and every time the standards are high.

Only moved to the area recently. What a find the Rickshaw was. Friendly staff. Expert chefs. If you need advice on a meal just ask they cook it just to your liking and you can watch them cook it. Their meals are reasonably priced and excellent. I have eaten many Indian curries in the last 40+ years and if you are wondering in some very expensive restaurants. Theirs are one of the best I have ever had.

The tandoori chicken was a disgrace, no spices no colour, over cooked in a normal oven by the looks of it.

We have always had brilliant meals from Rickshaw Express , wouldn’t order from anywhere else!

Vee your chef may be away visiting family at the moment however quality of these meals was still at a very high standard, complements to your stand in chef.

Great takeaway - our regular go-to for indian food. Reasonably priced, great quality, big portions and reasonable delivery times. Tip - much cheaper if you order direct from the restaurant instead of via Just Eat! You'll save around £2 per main.

Food was Luke warm at best! So for that reason I can’t even rate it as when trying to warm up naan bread went soggy! Chips was disgusting when asked for a refund only got £4.37 from a £16 order !

Rude owner. Spoke to my wife with racist overtones calling her a 'foreigner' Considering she's an English teacher I think the misunderstanding was on their side of the telephone. Needless to say we won't be returning to the rickshaw express. You can see the utter disdain for they have in relation to any form of customer service.

Another excellent meal. This time Chicken Passanda & vegetable rice, similar to the Korma but when tastier. If you haven't tried Rickshaw then you really must!
