Bangla Lounge in Solihull

One of the best curries I've had in a long time. I'm guessing from the fact the place was packed to the rafters thst I'm not the only one to think like this.

Our food was delivered a little earlier than advised. However the driver told us we hadn’t paid. We had by Apple pay online. We’d ordered chicken madras and chicken dansak. .we received chicken madras and lamb dansak and greasy nan. Disappointing as we’ve used bangla lounge many times in the past.

Not much flavour in the Makhani today.

Good food, good price and good sized portions.

Popped in here on the way baxk to Wales from NEC.. Was seated straight away, waiter was fab, food was gorgeous. Highly recommended

I have used this restaurant many times, and every meal to date has been absolutely delicious. I highly recommend their Pathia, IMO the best in town.

I was told for 1 hour that my order was with the delivery driver. I live 10 minutes away. The food arrived cold. I was a regular customer but will never order from here again

Fast delivery and the food was perfect. Ordered from here before and delivery can be long but this time 15 mins, food was hot.

Went last night for a curry with the lads. Was very quiet for Saturday night which is a shame as the food is great. I had the coriander chicken and sag paneer. The Sag Paneer is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Will go again next time I’m around Solihull. Recommended.

Food and service not bad. Good value. Atmosphere a bit strange - it feels like you're sitting in the dininging room of a 3 bed semi detached house with loads of people all crammed in around you.

Stale poppadoms and chewy onion pakora. Wasn’t the best but was okay.

I ordered through just eat and got a pilau rice instead of a plain rice. Called bangla lounge they said it would be 45 minutes to get me another one. We literally live 5 minutes away! We were told it's ok ots only pilau it's the same as boiled rice anyway! It's definitely not and I don't like it!

What can I say! I ordered Mixed Tikka Shashlik £11.95 came with 4 small pieces of lamb and 5 pieces of chicken with a little onion/peppers. Very dry and extremely disappointing. Chicken Pathia was bland. Biriyani was tasteless too. (Rice was dry and not moist and sauce was bland) We had to buy a pickle plate consisting of 2 red sauce pots, 1 onion salad and one mint sauce. £3 (All we wanted was sides of onion and mint which you cannot but separately) I could go on but run out of allowed characters

We ordered a chicken balti a prawn sag plus boiled rice and you sent us just a chicken balti & rice ? We also ( my husband jon worsley ) applied a discount as we have so many stamps with you & didn’t get it taken off the bill

We enjoyed a really lovely meal with great service. We were sad to learn that a young couple at the restaurant the same evening left without paying.

Staying in a local hotel for the night, we fancied a curry and chose this place randomly from the local Google listings. It turned out to be a good choice. Very tasty food, and they even made me a very nice Chicken Naga, even though it didn't appear to be on the menu. They also gave us free ice cream at the end of the meal. The only negative was that the portion sizes were just a little small, but apart from that, I'd recommend it.

Best Chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had fast friendly service and complimentary ice cream.Lovely atmosphere with a flower wall and music as well as being affordable .Definitely come back again highly recommend.

Best curry I have ever eaten ever.

Have been here on numerous occasions and have always been totally satisfied and thought that the food was really good but the last couple of times we have visited I have thought that it has gone down hill food not as good some dishes quite bland and have felt rushed main course being delivered when we had virtually only just finished our starters. Prawns in the curry quite tough and very overcooked, can't put my finger on it but just not the same. Will probably give it a miss for a while

The restaurant should state the real wait time instead of quoting one thing and delaying it immediately after accepting the order.

Delivery was 20-25 mins late. Busy Friday night and I understand that but still late.

First visit to this establishment after a glowing report about the food and staff. Well, all I have to add is the report was indeed spot on, the food was very enjoyable, the staff are polite attentive and extremely accommodating. No need to bring your own booze either. Will return again very soon.

Have used bangla many times but last night was the last ordered chicken doopiaza hot which came bland and tasteless ordered egg fried rice we got chicken fried rice ordered a garlic naan got a normal naan, requested a time of 21.10 food arrived at 21.35 Luke warm

Great food as always! my only comment I regularly order but the quantity of yoghurt and mint sauce has reduced lately and I only got half a small pot with popadoms and starter.

I placed our order just before 630pm it was due between 730 and 750 I made several phone calls to restaurant who said it was on it's way, finally arrived after 830pm

Poor experience overall. I put a note on the order asking the driver to call when he arrived so I could collect the food - he didn’t bother, just dumped it on my hotel’s reception desk. Quality was poor overall - tasteless sauces, heavy naans, minimal meat/prawn content. Very disappointing

Very disappointed with the meal- king prawns were small, chicken curry was on the bone chicken legs with skin- really leathery so for us the quality fell short. First and last time.

5 minutes is acceptable but food was warm not hot

My food was stone cold when it arrived as it was an hour late. They told me the driver had left on time, but after two or three phone calls, they told me then in the restaurant that he had about three or four orders to deliver on the way here to which the driver agreed that’s why I was so late and all the food was stone cold. I’ve asked just eat for a refund, shame because I’ve always enjoyed the food here

Always have good food here. We have been eating here for a number of years and never had bad food. Staff are very friendly .

Driver delivered the wrong order turns up at door 20 mins later and asked if we had started eating it I said yes driver asked what’s left? As to give to the other customer? Driver was rude and brought my religion in to things?? if the driver stopped attacking me for one moment I would’ve happily returned the curries. Driver said I should’ve known as bag was heavier? Is it my job to check what they are delivering? If driver wasn’t on phone when delivering maybe he wouldn’t mess up the orders. Never again!

Fantastic carry out from the Bangla Lounge this evening, very affordable, huge selection, delivered on time, food was top notch, sundries and packaging the best I’ve seen. Will undoubtedly be back for another.

Really nice and cozy place, friendly staff and decent food, probably one of the best I've had in a while, it was also extremely cheap, 10 of us and it was less than £14 per head somehow, I'll be going here again!

45 minutes late. I thought I would give this another ago after previously deliveries being late and missing items. I won't be using again. Food is OK but delivery service is shocking.

Not great, very watery curry, watery and bland cauliflower. Luke warm when arrived and sauce tasted like from a tin.

If you like salad with your starters buy your own as they give. U a pinch of lettuce and slice of Lemon. And they don't care because they know it's a small village and no other takeaway In walking distance so people just go their for that reason, The foods ok. I would advise anyone who drives to go Elloras Knowle or order takeaway from SweetChillis very good food from either of them plus their not on rashions with salad and you even get tomato and cucumber with your salad Woohoo ;-)
