A wonderfully interesting themed and stunning setting. Our server that boy was charming, more than happy to enthusiastically explain the food. We found everything delicious, and the little extras from the kitchen were a lovely touch.I highly recommend people to visit Indico shirley for dinner, party.

I was visited last saturday and Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish and the service provided by that boy was awesome

Really enjoyed a meal out here. We were a large group and Sam and the team did a top job serving us. They do a range of starters and mains but what I was drawn to was their thalis. A great way to try lots of tasty little dishes. I myself really enjoyed the 'Chefs thali' which consisted of papadum, aloo pyaaz ke pakora, daal makhani, makai palak, rice, naan, raita I chose the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Paneer Makhanwala. The lamb was nicely spiced, with a good heat to the curry and decent chunks of meat in a rich sauce. The paneer was tasty too, but the sauce a little sweet for me personally. Sam said next time to let the team know how hot, spicy etc and they can tweak to taste. The other elements of the thali were nice too. I enjoyed the varying textures and tastes and really liked the daal. Everyone in our group adults and kids enjoyed their meals overall, and the service was top. We will be back again soon I'm sure. 👍🏽

Thali is good and chat is okie. We ordered some thalis and chat and alacarte items. Thali and alacarte dishes were good but chaat is mediocre. A good place to have Indian food around - probably one of the best around.

Just finished a meal with family on a Sunday afternoon. Awesome flavours and variety. Everyone was very satisfied. So impressed compared to other "curry houses". Based on our visit we will definitely return when we visit Shirley next time.

Had £56 to pay and gave £60 cash. It was the first experience I ever had where the manager asked the waitress to come back and ask us if we’d like the change back. We felt embarrassed for them so of course we let them keep it but come on? What sort of service is this? Food was average and they kept forgetting to bring us things we asked for, but managed to pressure us into giving a tip. Very cheeky I must say.

Great food, nice staff, very friendly, just a little slow. Need to be more attentive. Due to number of takeaway orders, service levels suffer for diners. Otherwise great.

We, a family of four went for dinner at 9:10pm and ordered garlic naans, chilli chicken, butter chicken 🍗 It was finger licking yum 😋 my kids order one more chilli chicken. Overall it was yummy dinner night.

My daughter gave birth to our first grandchild this week. She and her husband live in Birmingham. We live in Reading. We drove to see our new grandson and decided to be with them overnight. So, we decided to get a takeaway from Indico, Shirley - through Deliveroo. We spent about £70. When the order eventually turned up there were 3 items missing. A butter nan, pakoras and a main meat dish - chicken takatak. We rang the restaurant and spoke to a ’Sam’ who identified himself as the manager. We told him that there were 3 dishes missing and he said that that can’t be the case as ‘he packed the order himself’. This equates to calling us liars! Which I am deeply offended by. We restated the fact that there were 3 dishes missing. He disagreed and told us to contact Deliveroo. We told him that our food was getting cold and to despatch the missing items, which he was not prepared to do. This complete episode spoilt our dinner as our stress levels were so high. By the way, the receipt was also missing from the carrier bags that carried the food. There were staple marks on the bag, but no receipt. What was meant to be a nice family meal turned out to be a total disaster as by time we got to eat the food it was cold. Sam, particularly as a manager should not claim his customers are liars as he couldn’t be wrong in packing the food items - so arrogant! The least the restaurant should do is to give us a full refund and an apology. The manager should also be re-trained on two things:1. how to speak to customers and not to imply that his customers are lying and 2. how to pack orders correctly We certainly won’t be ordering from them again! I would like to respond to the owners comments. Let’s stick to the facts. You got the order wrong, not the delivery company. They did not ‘mess up’ as suggested in your response - you did. Not one item, but three were NOT delivered ! Your colleague (Sam) was rude right from the beginning, believing he could not be wrong in packing the order. This is why we got upset, not accepting his own mistake. The arrogance of the man! He needs retraining to how to interact with customers politely. He did not say that he would be sending out the missing items as he believed that he wasn’t wrong. He was! We were not swearing or rude. This a lie to try to save ‘face’ to appear to be caring customer focussed organisation. We were just trying to get a complete meal that we had paid for and were looking forward to eating. Who you choose to believe is up to you. All we know that we will never be ordering from this place again. Rude, arrogant man!

Went here as it had a proper menu rather than generic anglicized curry only. Food was fresh and high quality. Service was great. Chilli Paneer and Naan were particular standouts, but everything we had was good. Was slightly expensive but not unreasonable for the quality.

Soon as I walk in the restaurant I was amazed at the decoration it was so beautiful it reminds me of India I love it . The service was amazing the workers was so helpful. You should definitely come to Indico and try the Mango Lassi it’s was amazing and delicious also the food was delicious

The food was delicious, a wonderful tour of local specialities with excellent presentation. Each course was well balanced, great textures and flavours.

Very friendly staff. Ordered the North Indian Thali with Lamb Rogan Josh as the meat dish that came with it. Great choice if you are unsure of what to order as you get a mixture of mini dishes to eat such as pappadum, veg pakora, makai palak, daal makhani, rice, naan and raita. Food was full of flavour and tastes great. All food is halal. Ordered the chaii for takeout however not a big fan as it was too 'cardamonny' for my taste.

It's a great place to enjoy Authentic Indian food. The menu is a bit on the expensive side and forces you to order Thali.

A real gem hidden away in Shirley! A comprehensive menu presented in a newspaper format. We went for samosa chaat whuch would be a great stand alone snack but we also went for Punjabi Chole (chuck peas) which coupled with rotis made a filling and delicious lunch. Two cups of Chai completed our meal.

Took the family today. Samosa Chaat, Punjabi Chole, masala fries, Chai. Fantastic lunch with generous servings which meant even my two starving teenage girls couldn't finish it! We'll be back!

Yummy food. Clueless service. And a bathroom door that opens onto diners at their tables. There were more waiting staff than required, but some of them had no clue what they were doing. Brought the wrong food, delayed a meal which we asked to be brought quickly, and missed items from their bill. Very sloppy. Can't fault the chefs though. The food was amazing.

Despite eating on a very wet Wednesday night, the food was top notch. From excellent Lassi through to amazing Chicken Taka Tak I couldn’t fault the quality and taste. We all had a Thali with varying main curries. The constituent parts made for a sublime mix of flavours. I particularly liked the Chicken Taka Tak which was enjoyed with some beautifully light naan bread. The meal was finished off with a glass of Chai and a portion of Gulab Jamun. Who could ask for more? I look forward to a return visit soon. Well done! 😊

When enter into the restaurant whole restaurants wall is painted it gives good vibe to me and food is amazing.

Great food but service was slow. We did find out why service so slow staff thought we were in a bigger party although we had booked. When larger party arrived they asked us to move table when finishing our meal. As I say Great food and just a mix up on booking and party but I didn't like service charge for 2 people and give we were asked to move table.

Went in (regular deliveroo customer) and had a meal, the food was very good, everyone enjoyed it. Great decor and concept. The owner has really done a good job all round, same goes for the other branch. A bit slow serving drinks but all good.

Well cooked Indian food. My friend (who is a regular here) and I had the thali... There are around 4 on the menu. Each was a selection of curries, as well as rice, naan, a bhaagi and several dipping sauces (one curry sauce and one yogurt dip). All the curries were flavoured well and the sides were well prepared. Will visit again.

Chicken tandoori leg and Wings were nice. Chicken lollipop, chicken tikka and seekh kebab were extremely dry and felt like they werent cooked fresh rather were heated up again. They didnt have much of taste in them either. Ordered the mix thaali and only good items were leg and wings. The coconut grove drink although was very pricey but tasted good and was refreshing.

My family and I popped in to try some Indian cuisine. I had looked around the restaurant and it was quite colourful and decorated with art and most notoriously, their umbrellas. I was greeted by the Manager, Sam who was a helpful guy and offered us complimentary drinks for us! The food wasn’t bad and overall the customer service had made my family’s day.

Visited this place today with my partner, place was empty not welcoming at all. Manager sitting around like a yoyo, waiters chatting away small portions. Food was okay however the service was very slow compared to the mailbox no customer service skills. No table service and you guys add your own service charge nope luckily I spotted it and asked to get it removed. Prefer the mailbox

We just ordered some takeaway and unfortunately, it was not up to our expectations. The chips were hard and stale while the fish was overcooked, which was a real disappointment. We have had great experiences dining in on several occasions, but we have noticed that the food quality is not consistent when ordering takeaway.

We had a lovely meal here. Great food from a wide menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Cocktails were really nice, and the service was great. Pretty quiet for a Friday night so we were served quickly. Music wasn't loud, just enough to add a little atmosphere. Been to Indico Shirley a few times now and always have an excellent experience. Sam and the rest of the staff are brilliant and the food is beautiful. A good selection, something for everyone. Great atmosphere, staff, food and reasonably priced.

It’s a wonderful place with amazing decor and I must admit, an awesome playlist of background music. The manager and the staff is exemplary, the service is top drawer and I never had any complaints in my 8-10 visits I’ve had at Indico.

I came to indico on an unexpected visit as I was craving indian food and smelt the fresh aroma of indian spices, so I decided pop in. I was welcomed and serviced by a young hospitable girl called Anusha. She was very Kind and helped us get our meal choices as it was our first time coming here. 10/10 Service and Atmosphere as the umbrellas fascinated me and the architecture in the restaurant. Will come back again.

Dined in this branch for the first time today, service was really awful, food was descent, staff didnt have a clue what was going on, manager front of house, very moody, customer even walked out after receiving food, no welcoming by any member of staff, our food order was incorrect, had to ask and confirm numerous times our order and it was still wrong when serving us, Indico mailbox is alot better, waiters and waitresses on point, will only be going to that one next time

Excellent service and Subhash was wonderful. Food came quick and it was a good meal.
