Great experience - able to accommodate a booking of 11 people at short notice on a Saturday evening. Food was exceptional and considering the party size, this all came out to the table all together and relatively quickly. Service was great and really friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Had a fabulous meal here - the staff were really attentive and the choice of food excellent. Our starters were superb and a step above other local restaurants. The mains were also excellent and the chicken was so tender. Can’t believe we’ve never made it here before but we will certainly return. Might even book for one of their cookery classes. All in all it was a great meal and a lovely family run business.

Exceptional service, friendly staff and lovely food.

I'm very happy to have found this place by accident after being told that there would be a one and a half hour wait for a table at the 'Tap & Tandoor' over the road which I'd never been to either. The food (lamb, chicken and prawn curries) and service were excellent - no complaints from any of the family (which is unheard of). They have Cobra beer too. I'll definitely be coming back.

An impromptu Monday visit to The Delhi. I picked the Mutton Malabar and it was a really lovely dish. Very enjoyable and definitely coming back to try different things.

Not cheap , the £18.95 meal deal is very misleading, The drinks prices are very high and you also get charged a further 10% service charge on your entire bill. Food was decent enough but not worth the price we were charged, we only had a bottle of beer and two bottles of pop yet the bill was over £63....…won't be going back.

Delicious curry, had a lovely lamb bhuna with a delectable garlic naan bread. Tandoori king prawns to start were also fantastic. Staff really friendly and welcoming.

Curry was excellent, great mix of texture and flavour. Great service, food came quickly, very friendly. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, a classic, was done to perfection. The music was very fitting for the environment.

Visited The Delhi last night for a curry with my brother. Staff ( Shakir & Dara) were friendly and helpful. We had starters and both our mains (chicken Mushroom Balti) with accompanying naan breads were flavoursome and meat was tender. One of the nicest Balti we’ve had in a long time. If you fancy a nice curry in Solihull we would recommend you try “The Delhi”.

Ordered a chicken tikka saag towa, which I’d had there before. It came out and the chicken was in tiny cubes, all the same size like it had come out of a frozen bag, the sauce was a strange red colour, almost like a pasta sauce colour and when I asked where the saag was, they said it was the tiny bits of microscopic green bits. The sauce had definitely come from a jar. I spoke to them and said I’d had the same meal before and totally different and they said they would cook it again “properly”. I said I wanted it properly the first time and my fellow diners had their food so didn’t want to wait. Absolutely no compensation and just a “come back again and it will be better”. I will NEVER go there again.

I recently ordered food from The Delhi, expecting authentic Indian cuisine, but it was an absolute disappointment. The flavors were bland, the ingredients tasted stale, and the overall quality was shockingly poor. It’s insulting to call this Indian food. The presentation was sloppy, and the portion sizes did not justify the price. It felt like no effort or care was put into preparing the meal. Save your money and your appetite. I wouldn’t recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

This is our weekend go to. Excellent food, great service, the staff are always looking after us, one of the few quality Indian restaurants left in the area.

Decent food until I saw a staff member take a bite out of my food while packing it. Well, that's the hygiene standards. The manager was unapologetic. He offered to redo the dish.

I booked a table of 14 for a colleagues retirement. We wanted it to be special and the staff really did that. They made us feel really welcome, everybody enjoyed their food, staff were happy to explain some of the food to people who weren't used to Indian food. The whole experience was awful. The waiter came up and down several times and pressured us to get drinks even though we told him we were waiting for others to arrive. The response was brilliant: "It will be better for me so that I won't come up and down again". He wanted us to rush and move to the next plate immediately. When I tried to pay my portion of the bill, he told me to check with my friends as he passed the whole bill to the table, although I told him before that I would pay my own. Despite my persistence in getting my bill, he refused to take payment. Incredible! I have never witnessed such arrogant and argumentative staff. I will never dine in that place. The food was not great either. You can have the same level of quality in an average Indian restaurant. Please avoid this place.

This has been the place my family and I would eat for as long as I can remember. I've loved it since I was a kid and recently came back from living overseas for a few years to try the food again. It is, without a doubt, the best service you can ask for. There was a large party in the restaurant upstairs but the team found a spot for us in the window and not once did it seem like an issue for them. Super friendly and super attentive. The danger of going to a place that you enjoyed as a kid is that the food doesn't live up to the nostalgia but The Delhi lives up to memory and exceeds. If you're in Solihull please please please do yourself a favour and eat here.

Fabulous. Don’t miss the opportunity to eat here. The restaurant is upstairs. The take away is downstairs. Don’t be worried by the decor. It’s fabulous.

We called in at 6pm for dinner, Dara took us upto the restaurant, he was very engaging and we chatted for a while after our amazing food, the dishes where well prepared and full of flavour, we would definitely recommend this restaurant, next time we are in Solihull we will have a meal there again.
