Ahads Indian Kitchen in South Gosforth exceeded my expectations! The mixed grill starter was a delightful burst of flavors, and the chicken tikka masala was truly sublime. The option to bring our own drinks added to the convenience, making it a fantastic dining experience. The warm ambiance and attentive service make Ahads a standout choice for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

First visit and the only table booked in the restaurant but it was raining, a Wednesday and Newcastle were playing at home. The menu had dishes I was not at all familiar with so I was a bit wary. There were 7 of us and we all chose different dishes; I went with chicken lazeez. The waitress confirmed it was a mild dish but it could be made hotter if I wished. I asked for it to be pimped up. With it was lemon and cashew rice and a garlic naan. It was one of the nicest Indian flavoured meals I have had. Definitely worth a return visit (but maybe avoid the weekends when they are very busy). You would be crazy not to give this food a try. All 7 of us cleared our plates enjoying every last bite. They do takeaway too.

Why are we not in a packed restaurant?? Again another superb meal. Tasty. Freshly cooked and served. I’d love for them to be busy but it’s great that we can sit peacefully and enjoy this treat. Gosforth where are you ???

An amazing flavourful Indian cuisine! Such a great asset for local residents. We often order from them for click and collect and today we came up to try it inside the restaurant. Delicious as usual. Prices are great. People are friendly and helpful. Delicious and spicy if you’re into that.

Went for a late planned dinner and managed to book the wrong restaurant (booked for high street) got to the restaurant and the waitress managed to fit us in. The service was fantastic, food was well priced and delicious. Lots of options and things that I'd never seen before, including the lime and pilau rice which was amazing. A great experience all round. Only thing to note is it's bring your own alcohol but there's a shop less than a minute up the road so it's not an issue. Brilliant night.

The food is s outstanding. You might have to wait a little while, but I suspect that’s because the dishes are made to order. It’s definitely worth the wait, too. Portions are big, no hint of grease anywhere, and there’s a ton of dishes that you won’t find elsewhere. Service is also great, prices are very reasonable, and it’s BYOB. We’ve been twice now and will be back again

Went to the restaurant again - Now sat in and taken away the food is just amazing- service is fab. I would advice booking at weekends as fully booked this weekend - not so bad during the week

We loved the family run atmosphere of the place and the food was delicious! My sister and I decided to take our Mum for her birthday and she loved the Salmon Massla dish she chose. We brought a couple of bottles of wine of our own since there’s no licence for selling alcohol and that suited us nicely. Thanks to Ahad and his daughters for making our evening so special.

Food was freshly cooked, it was explained exactly what type of spices it was amazing as I have never had this dish before definitely will be having again.

We ordered a home delivery at 7pm and eventually it was delivered at 8:35! The restaurant is five mins walk from the house but we thought we tried delivery before we bought a restaurant card! Food obviously cool, damask limited number of prawns and lentil dish described as served with a sauce which it wasn’t! Will not be trying again!

This is a very small intimate restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome. Byo alcohol makes for a much cheaper meal. The Ckicken Tikka was gorgeous. The best I have ever had. Vegetarians are offered anything on the menu but with vegetables instead of meat. The sauce was delicious but the vegetables were sparse and we were charged the same price as the meat dish. Would probably go back if they can improve vegetarian options.

What can you say? The food was freshly prepared and cooked The food melted in your mouth - beyond my ability to give a description and do the mouth watering food justice.

What an excellent addition to South Gosforth. A small, friendly restaurant with lovely food and welcoming staff. The food is very good and you can also ask for dishes that are not listed on the menu. It’s relatively new on the scene but it’s our first choice now!

A Fabulous Saturday eating experience. We have had takeaways that have been sensational. Tonight we ate in the restaurant. Outstanding food. Fabulous mix of spices and flavours. Friendly and charming staff. We shall be back.
