Work night out lots of dishes to share all delicious- staff shortage on the night ' but all the staff were friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience! Dilan, the waiter in the stripey shirt on the 31st was brilliant, incredibly welcoming, friendly and give us a good insight of how the place works and what they do. All waiters work very hard and are easy going! Atmosphere was great, small friendly and busy. Would definitely recommend!!

We were lucky enough to get a last minute table at 5.30pm for 4 of us. We ordered the firecracker paneer, Aloo Tikka Chaat, Cauliflower Manchurian, Dal mahkani, and a garlic naan for myself and another vegetarian to share. And then we ordered the butter chicken and the new Aslam Smoked Tandoori chicken which two others shared. The food as always, was absolutely incredible. Being vegetarian, we struggle to find good quality vegetables, not too salty or sweet, that are cooked well. My Delhi have set the highest bar and it is definitely our favourite restaurant. It's just a shame we live in London and can only visit once or twice a year! We had a bottle of the pinot grigio which went down very well indeed. Thank you so much for welcoming us back and for spoiling us with such delicious food and such a warm atmosphere! Hopefully we will see you in the new year!

Wow oh wow, best Curry ever, so good we came back again the following day. We were in Newcastle for 2 nights, one vegan, one vegetarian and 2 others, the menu catered for us all very well. Seriously each dish was exceptional and SUSHMA was a superb host checking on us regularly but not too regularly. If uou are in Newcastle check this place out, we'll be back next time we are in Town ❤️❤️‍🩹🥳

Absolutely incredible, modern take on indian street food. Great selection to suit any pallette. Every item we ordered was bursting with bold, fragrant flavours with an incredibly balanced profile of spices. Staff were incredibly friendly and service was top notch. Literally could not pick fault with anything. Highly, highly recommend. The lunchtime Thali's represent staggeringly good value for money at £12. They could easily charge more than this and the quality of food would still make it worthwhile.

Food is nice, but pretty tame for supposed Indian street food. The spiciest dish doesn’t even have the kick of a bottle of Tobasco. The atmosphere started good with nice banghra music in the background, but then changed into some very tedious dance music which ruined the mood. Service was really great. The service charge is included in the bill, so don’t accidentally give an extra tip as I nearly did. For me this was a once-only type of experience. I want authentic Indian food and music!

Bizarre lack of awareness at shop front.. six foot one guy enters front door and somehow isn't seen.. either ignored or because of incompetence.. what unfolded thereafter with other subsequent customers being served ahead of me just a kick in the teeth.. all the best.. heard the food is great

I ordered chicken chilli and it was very bad and not enough for a single person. Place was very dirty and noisy. There were no chairs for people waiting. Chairs are only for reserved people. Ambience was not good

If I was on death row I’d have my last meal here! The potato croquettes are to die for, ate them so quick I couldn’t get a photo. The curries are delicious loved the grandmas aloo and railway curry. Love trying all of the drinks they have to offer can’t wait to come back from a lunchtime service.

Best curry I have ever had, full stop. Service from Sushma was impeccable, the atmosphere is great, the price is great, quite possibly one of the best restaurants in Newcastle. A must visit!

I highly recommend My Delhi, they offer a wide range of gluten-free options. I had the butter chicken, and it is by far the best I’ve had to date! Special thanks to the lovely Rebecca; she was incredibly helpful.

We had an excellent dining experience at My Delhi’s. We enjoyed the butter chicken and kozhi curry, accompanied by cheese naan and Dum pulao rice, which we shared between the two of us. The food was exceptional, and we look forward to returning in the future!

I've been a few times now in recent, with different friends, the majority of whom haven't been before. everyone has thought the food as the best Indian food they have had! The lunchtime special at £12 for the Talia trays is fantastic value. As ever the service is always first class. Highly recommend

I have visited the Sunderland and Newcastle restaurants now and both were equally as amazing. Lovely modern restaurants with great service and delicious food. Awesome authentic taste and great to have Indian spices in too far a place. It had a great variety of Indian curries. Ambiance - will give you vibes of Indian Bollywood taste and Delhi with a mixed view of punjabis and hiryaniwi culture. A Auto look at the entry gives some good Indian roadway view. Taste - authentic Indian enrich masala, mango 🥭 lasssi is must try and which changes the mouth bud and gives real taste of Mango 🥭 and lassi All chicken curry will give you vibes like you are India. Quantity - one curry is enough for one person only or it's one bowl of rice is enough for one. If you are group of 5-7 people you can share the amount with 4-5 curry items. Price - quite moderate expensive but it's worth as give mouth watering taste which can be remember till you hear Newcastle name. Must recommend to go for lunch and have taste of Indian masala. Book- if it's weekend, do the pre booking rather than in queue.

We absolutely love the food and have gotten it on several occasions, our favourite being the butter chicken. The only thing we think could be improved is the take away containers for the dips as we’ve had a dip spill twice now and it such a shame to have them go to waste!

Very close to 5* all round. My starters were excellent, the Chicken 24 was moist, full of flavour, and the Cauliflower Manchurian a real delight. My lamb main Delhi Kadai Ghhost was good too, but perhaps a little salty for my taste buds. Great service, and overall, a great experience.

The food is amazing, very delicious food, especially the butter chicken curry. The place is quite popular, so I would make sure to have a reservation before going. The service is great and the cobra beer is an absolute must.

The lunch deal is great value. Love the refillable chai tea which always comes with cute little biscuit. Service is brilliant

We started with Gol Gappa and mango lassi. Our mains were chicken butter and South Indian fish curry with garlic naan. They were unreal. Also a shout out to Sushma who was an absolute star, explaining everything to us. Deffo will return :)

We visited last night and had a wonderful experience. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious, very flavourful. We are not the easiest customers, each of us has dietary requirements: coeliac disease, nut allergy and are vegan 😅 But we all felt we had plenty to choose from and the staff made us feel confident they were taking them seriously. I love that they are completely nut free. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall just a fantastic meal out.

Server Sushma was a delight - patient, courteous & kind. She even brought my brother a birthday card as it was his birthday. And the food was excellent

Amazing street food from the North of India, and a great variety too! Been here twice with my partner and would highly recommend - it’s one of our favourite Indian food places in Newcastle. Firstly, everyone we engaged with were not just friendly and enthusiastic, they seemed genuinely happy proud to be associated with this cracking find of a restaurant (special mention to Riya & Sushma). A very different culinary experience to the standard Madras and Bhuna offerings. I believe I could have tried pretty much anything from the menu - all sounded delicious and intriguing. One common staple were the onion bhajis. A good way to test the chefs metal…passed with ease, some of the best I’ve had. Seemed very popular and for evidently good reason, so try book in advance

I promise you will find no better butter chicken. All their curries are delicious though. Must visit when in Newcastle and make sure to book!

Authentic North Indian food with decent Veg options to try. Service was excellent and timely.

The butter chicken is very flavorful and aromatic. The emperor's stew is a similar flavour to the butter chicken but with lamb flavour so I would choose one of those dishes and something else for variety. Exceptional service and great atmosphere. Staff are very helpful, especially Rebecca who was so friendly to talk to and kindly went out of her way to give me information about Newcastle as i was visiting for the first time. Would very much recommend.

Amazing! Turned up without a booking while walking past and staff were very accommodating to find a table. We had butter chicken and railway lamb curries, which were absolutely outstanding. Thoroughly recommend what is probably one of the best places I’ve been for a curry. Big shout out to the front of house manager, who made the visit great.

The waitress me and my family (Sushma) was so sweet, chatty and made us laugh and smile. She was very welcoming and happy and made our dining experience so much better. I really recommend this place because i went there not really knowing what to eat as i’m a picky eater but their food was amazing and i even ate half my dads cause it was that good.

Today, I dined at My Delhi with my family and friends, and it was an evening to remember. It had been at least 5 years since I last tasted authentic butter chicken, and I’m thrilled to say that My Delhi delivered that nostalgia perfectly. The rich, creamy sauce and tender chicken were exactly what I’ve been longing for all these years. In my opinion, My Delhi is one of the best Indian restaurants in the UK. Every dish we ordered had the authentic Indian taste that is often hard to find outside of India. From the spices to the presentation, everything was spot on. A special shout out to Riya, who took our order and ensured we had a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Her attentiveness and warm service added a personal touch to the evening, making it all the more special. If you’re looking for genuine Indian cuisine that doesn’t compromise on authenticity, I highly recommend My Delhi. I know I’ll be returning soon!

Absolutely perfect! Perfect seasoning, lots of chicken pieces, lots of sauce, decent pricing and good portions except for the rice, there could be a little more as a side if you order a curry. Drinks were also on the smaller side but hey, a large water is always an option as well

We came to My Delhi last month after receiving a voucher from family. Food was very flavoursome and there was a lot of choice, staff very attentive and polite. We went quite early in the afternoon so wasn’t very busy but as we were leaving it did start to fill up Price was alright, Would definitely go back.

So good. I thought it would be hard to beat the alternatives nearby like Dabbawal, but My Delhi was on par. Food was just as good, but the atmosphere felt more relaxed. Came for restaurant week and the value was great. Will definitely be back in future.

Service was out standing. Loved the experience. Who knew the cider would be so lovely. I thought my side was a bit burnt. It doesn't matter how many flavours you chuck at a sauce when it's burnt its burnt. I really enjoyed it anyway. Helpful hunt. I have dined today .at your Newcastle place for the first time after following you guys on Instagram and videos etc . Big hype! Let me explain my experience. By more elaborate in points . Arrival - I was waited unattended for 10 minutes just looking at the bar counter that someone will come to help me while the restaurant was empty . I was wondering did I came in wrong time ?I was literally thought it was closed may be opening 6 .00pm . Finally I saw one of the staff came to serve another table it was only one table were dining at that time . He came and asked I was alone I was seated in table number 1 . Fair enough didn’t even get a chance to see the menu fully . he explained are you first time ?or been here before then he explained small story my Delhi is street style food service you will get everything as it’s ready . So I was hungry though . I order one Amritsari fish pakora . Tandoori wheat Paratha , South Indian fish curry . Meanwhile I wanted to have chai as it’s mentioned freshly prepared . It came to my table within 5 mints with gorgeous presentation with Parle G cookie to be honest even it’s not prepared freshly . But it was the best chai I ever tried in Newcastle. Before finishing the chai my Fish Amritsar I came to table . It was warm not hot & the mayonnaise was created a layer alredy yellow ish on top . I tried dig in as I was hungry . I saw it was layer formed . Inside was different colour and texture. It’s was prepared and kept in plate long back for sure. As soon I dig into it . It was not crispy and not hot pretty much soggy. The salad was warm too attached picture for you . Secondly I have asked South Indian fish curry beaing south India it was attracted to me . It came with burt wheat paratha . It was so bitter . No one even noticed one side was burnt the other side was not cooked . I left a half piece. While placing my order I requested to make it spicy the order taker was agreed to inform chef . . The portion were really appreciated good for 2 peoples can easily share . However the curry was so bland and it was not South Indian fish curry. It was more like a Goan fish curry . After tasting that along with burnt paratha was awful. I immediately ran to wash my hands as I was not happy there also was surprise the sink was fully overflowing pathetic. Such a Horrible experience. I will never forget. & Not coming back anymore.

Absolutely the tastiest Indian food I have ever had

Second time here and it was lovely! The food all came out fairly quick and was very yummy! We had a mix of street plates (you have to try the crispy chicken momos!!!) and then the biryani and butter chicken. Both great. Portion sizes are great and the staff all lovely, Sushma especially was so great throughout!
