The Singing Hinny in Newcastle upon Tyne

This is the very best place for breakfast or a quick snack or an afternoon meal. Very reasonable in price, very friendly, I go out of my way to come to this place its really worth it!

Simply wonderful, wholesome food served efficiently. One of the last places of its kind in this increasingly corporate world. Five stars all the way.

Excellent welcome and service. The melted cheese on crumpet was just right for a late morning snack. A good stop for shopping cyclists near Edinburgh Cycles.

Gran servicio, buena comida, buen ambiente. Estuvimos allí el sábado por la noche y aún recibíamos un excelente servicio del personal, especialmente Amy.   Agua para mí, grifo con limón y hielo. "Radgie Gadgie", un gran amargo para ella. Comenzó con Black Pudding scotch egg and pate. encantador. Yo preparé el pato a la perfección, y mi esposa comió una hamburguesa que finalmente tiene que pedir por una "bolsa para perros". . Nos quedamos sin tiempo para pud, pero se ofrece una buena gama. ¡Irse!

Nos encontramos con este café por casualidad, pero nos recibieron como si fuéramos amigos. Visitamos lo más regularmente posible ahora que estamos en la zona. La comida es variada y siempre hay "especiales". Muy buena relación calidad-precio y los miembros del personal son encantadores. Comida adecuada, hecha en casa y el hecho de que veamos a muchas de las mismas personas cada vez que vamos, ¡muestra cuántas personas piensan que es el centro de Shields Road! Su billetera no se arrepentirá. La carne picada y las albóndigas son para morirse!

Went in this afternoon. We had coffee and sandwiches. Very tasty and served by an extremely pleasant waitress. A very nice establishment serving good decent grub at cracking prices. If on Byker High Street pop in and give it a try. We're glad we did and will be back.....

This is fastly becoming one of my favourite places to eat. The food is fab, the staff are lovely and it has such a warm, welcoming community feel about the place. I can’t speak highly enough.

Food is out of this world, had a party and had Ann form the singing hinny do it for us, everything was home made curry,pies,soup even the rolls highly recommend, for future party's we will be using again.

I live near Edinburgh but have visited the cafe a couple of times with my partner and his parents/kids who live nearby. Wide range of food available at very reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

This lovely little cafe was really busy on a weekday lunch time which is always a good sign. We had toasties, tea and a cheese scone. All the food was lovely, well presented and was served quickly. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The prices were very reasonable, I see why it was so full, I'd definitely go back for lunch there. We visited on a hot day but I think this would be a very cosy place to eat on a cold winter's day.

Myself and my wife are regulars at the Hinny for breakfast. Its cheap and cheerful with a hearty breakfast, freshly cooked and a decent but bog-standard cup of coffee. John the proprietor is a thorough gentleman and always extends a very warm welcome to all of his customers.

Been visiting this place for years, lovely atmosphere, cheap as chips, friendly staff and loads of nannas. Super kitsch id love to work here!!
