Oh mi, oh my! Just had the salt and chilli seitan banh mi from Zoe and her talented team. Everything they present is delicious, but I hadn't tried this before and it was BEAUTIFUL. (Plate reviewer's own).

First time going since it moved to its own place on chilli road, bigger menu means more choice, salt and chilli seitan banh mi was fantastic, excellent place to stop for lunch.

Small plant-based lunch spot - a must visit for vegan sushi fans. Wonderful small business with lovely staff, banh mi’s and sushi. We had a salt and chilli special banh mi as well as the cucumber and avocado maki and both were excellent - you can see why the place is so highly rated and certainly worth a trip out from the centre for. My photos haven’t done the food justice, the quality of bread for the banh mi hit us first, soft & fresh and filled with expertly-prepared toppings. The sushi was also freshly made to order and it really showed in the quality of the fresh veg and the rice. Will definitely be coming again when back in the area!

I ordered a mixed buffet platter for 20 people. Zoe was so friendly and accommodating. Her food is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond. This was for a colleagues retirement. Out of the people eating it, only 2 were vegan. The non vegans said it was the best sushi they have ever had!! The presentation was beautiful and the taste was just perfection. This lady has such talent and we can’t wait to order again in the future.

Veganatomy is a place of delicious genius! The creativity and taste is phenomenal! The owner is so lovely as well - I really hope her business continues to flourish, because it's an absolute gem! So annoyed I no longer live in the North East, because if I did, I'd be here all the time! And it's coeliac friendly too!

Really really impressed by this place. I have been here many times and always had a great experience. I've tried the banh mi, rice bowls and sushi. All have been delicious. I have taken friends here who have all enjoyed it too. Service is quick, the people who work here are friendly and welcoming. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan myself, but have always really enjoyed the food. The vegetables are fresh and tasty, and covered with lots of nice sauce. Another benefit is that I feel like I've eaten something which is actually good for me. It's one of my favourite takeaway places in Newcastle and I'd recommend it to anyone. Keep up the good work!

Delicious. My (vegan) friend dragged my (non vegan) butt in, and I was pretty skeptical. But it's actually delicious Asian-style sushi.

Have been trying to get here for ages and was not disappointed once here. Went off menu and asked for a 'sushi platter to impress me". Boy was I impressed. Best vegan sushi I have had to date. I don't know which type to recommend the most. All was fantastic. It was a large platter and it ended up being lunch and an early dinner. For the amount I spent I do feel this is good value for money and the flavours are superb Only annoyance is that I am not this way more regularly

We took the ferry back to Amsterdam and stopped briefly to pick up some food. The owner Zoë is incredibly friendly and our bowls were lovingly prepared. Everything is freshly put together. We had: 1x Teriyaki Tofu Bowl 1x Szechuan Seitan Bowl 1x Gimbap Everything was incredibly tasty and we can 100% recommend the food there. If you're in Newcastle, be sure to stop by Vegananatomy!

i got two bento boxes here today and they were delicious, definitely the best vegan sushi i've had and well worth the price! the service was also wonderful and really friendly! i'll definitely be visiting again x

Food was fantastic and service was excellent. As someone who is a bit of a fussy eater and also new to exploring the world of plant-based stuff I was absolutely delighted by the rice bowl. The couple behind the counter really went above and beyond. You can tell this business is run with passion and it shows in every aspect.

Good food and craic excellent value and our wee pooch made on to their insta x and when you can’t decide on your sando buy two and share winning all round. Loved every bite and I’m nice veggie let alone vegan 🌱

The food here is the best I’ve ever tasted. I’m very lucky that they’re reasonably close to where I live but I would travel miles for their food if I needed to. Recently had the Bahn Mi box which was just amazing, the freshness of the produce and the flavour combinations are just everything good about food. Veganatomy is by far the number one vegan food vendor in the North East. Hugely recommend everyone, whether vegan or not, tries the food!

Sadly no picture as it was devoured too quickly because the smell of the Szechuan was divine and the banh was absolutely god-tier. New favourite vegan spot in the toon. Lovely stuff.

Nothing short of phoenomenal. Not only have they created something accessible to all, but they have redefined my understanding of texture, taste and colour in sushi. And again, Seitan sushi a request) JFC what delightful food, served by the lushest of people. Absolutely 10/10

Popped in for the first time today as I had ran out of lunch ideas. I got the Szechuan seitan banh mi and oh my delicious. Such an amazing flavour combination I want another one! Will definitely be back to work my way through the menu.

Ordered 3 of the Bento boxes for our lunches today, best sushi I have ever had. The flavour combinations and the pickles on the side were delicious! Can’t recommend enough.

We got a small vegan platter to share with three people and went over to Elderbeer to eat it there. Great food and collaboration! If you are around, you must try this!

I have followed Zoe on Instagram and had not gone down the Quayside. Today I went to Heaton and had a delicious rice bowl and shiitake mushrooms. I will be a regular. Sushi ran out, I’m going earlier next time !!

Best vegan sushi I ever had. Even my non-vegan mum loved it! So yummy! We tried a bowl with seitan pieces and a selection of sushi. Those dragon rolls are to die for, sauces are just fantastic, so full of flavour. And all so pretty- like a rainbow on a plate. I wish I lived closer. Will defo go there again!

Honestly, the most delicious sushi I’ve ever had. I’m not a vegan, but I would pick this over regular sushi any day. Zoe’s unique taste on sushi is incredible and I think everyone should try it.
