The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Japanese food

I have not eaten here, but by the reviews it looks amazing! however, I have left 3 messages over a 2 week period to book a table and no reply - not even to say there is no availability. Online booking was unavailable, and no email that I can see to either. I understand they may not be open everyday but I rang on a Thursday, Friday and a Tuesday.

Esto supera a todas las entregas de sushi / japonés / asiático en el área de Wanstead / South Woodford. Literalmente saca a la competencia del agua. Ordene desde este lugar. Es asombroso. Comida japonesa fresca, caliente, auténtica y maravillosa. No te arrepentirás.

Sushi Tokoro is such an understated and wonderful sushi cafe! Having gone to Japan recently, I can attest this is the best quality sushi I've had in London, and the same quality as the sushi I've eaten in Japan. Great quality, always friendly, and now my regular spot for sushi in London.

Clean and fresh tasting and clearly 'just been made' softness of the rice ... so glad they survived lockdown ... Divine food and delightful staff! Go, go , go!

Primero déjame decir que la comida era de 5 estrellas. Yo elegiría dar 4. 5 sobre todo, pero obligado a elegir tuve que ir 4 porque algunos elementos de servicio no eran del todo perfectos. Kisetsu es la mesa del chef en Shosharu, que ofrece una fantástica experiencia gastronómica íntima con ingredientes de temporada y principalmente pescado. El menú de degustación de 15 platos siempre fue interesante, sabrosa y visualmente inspirador para combinar. Nuestro grupo tenía vino y emparejamientos de Sake. Los vinos en general eran muy impresionantes, particularmente un pinot noir francés y vino de postre raro. El sommelier ciertamente sabía lo que hacía, aunque en varias ocasiones le había explicado el emparejamiento al grupo sin que nos diéramos cuenta (tal vez no corregir la etiqueta para ser demasiado asertivo para ser justo, a pesar de que fue hablado suavemente). Los sakes fueron muy interesantes, probé con mis amigos y todos menos uno fueron muy impresionantes. Podría escribir sobre la comida. Realmente tan impresionante. Una vez más, esto fue de cinco estrellas, pero a veces el servicio se sentía desarticulado y había un extraño inconveniente, como equivocarse al emparejar los pedidos u omitir la factura de las cajas bien presentadas al final. Amazing sushi! By far the best around! Excellent presentation and reasonably priced. Delivery drivers were in & out of restaurant which was slightly distracting so would get a takeaway next time but it’s great that they’re so busy! Would definitely recommend and order again!

Absolutely love this place for sushi takeaway (there’s a few seats to sit in) but great for on the go with hot and cold selections preboxed as well as anything else made to order. Some of the freshest, tastiest salmon I’ve had! Lovely concept!

The best katsu curry I have ever had! Came with my partner for an impromptu lunch and the restaurant was clean, staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely excellent with fresh vegetables and quality ingredients! New favourite food spot.

They were closed for a pretty long time but now they are open again and there were some changes which I like. The food is still amazing, tasty, and fresh. I went there with my bf and we ordered lunch boxes and some sushi and it was really good! Will go there again.

Comenzó con patatas fritas Nori, hummus de wasabi y encurtidos caseros, seguido de una deliciosa hamburguesa. El cangrejo de caparazón blando era mi favorito.

I had the pleasure of sampling Kodawari during a visit to Caffeine & Machine and it was absolutely sensational. I had the Teriyaki Beef loaded fries and the Katsu Chicken sando (sandwich). Everything was just perfect, absolutely no criticisms at all. The chicken was divine - not too moist but not dry either, right in the sweet spot with quality meat clearly used. The beef was also great - sometimes Teriyaki can be an overpowering flavour but it was again, spot on. I now actively look for when Kodawari is at C&M, cannot wait to eat there again!
