We travelled across the pond too tired to do much in the way of nightlife, so we found our way down from our room at The Prince Akatoki to The Malt bar where Mario held forth as the creator extraordinaire of our cocktails making recommendations and the reasons behind them. The Sesame was wonderful - rich and delicious and adorned with a sweet sesame chip. The Rice was also wonderful and fresh for a summer day. Mario also made beetroot cocktails, one with mezcal, and his piece de resistance for us was sharing his own cocktail creation — now in competition in a London based cocktail “shake-off” — which we’re taking home with us via recipe and calling “The Mario Bond”. Stop by for some of the best and most inventive cocktails from a bartender who truly cares about his craft.

Amazingly cosy spot. The staff were very attentive with us. Shoutout to Mario for the amazing drinks and service, the chose of drinks were incredible.

First time I came to this place , was surprised by the hospitality of the bartender Mario , who was very attentive of my questions about the drinks , and made my evening very pleasant, delicious drinks !!

What a treat! If you are in the Marble Arch area make a point to visit this lovely, intimate bar that highlights some of Japan’s best spirit offerings. The cocktails are unique, complex and are a joy to drink. Mario the mixologist has a true passion for his craft and it shines through in every drink he makes. His signature Hanami drink is a true delight.

The “Malt" is an exceptional venue for those whose are whisky addicted with a welcoming atmosphere and a broad selection of spirits from all around the world. The bartender Mario is a true expert in the field, always ready to recommend the best whisky based on customers' personal tastes. His passion and knowledge are evident in every recommendation and cocktail prepared. An experience not to be missed for whisky lovers!

We went to the bar after a lovely meal at Tokii and the experience was amazing. We was met by the Bartender, Antonio, who showed us the menu and explained the drinks very well. Antonio also recommended us drinks to try and they were great. Extremely welcoming, lovely atmosphere, and exceptional service. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

I came in for drinks with a friend and the bartender Matteo was so good and explained to us what specialties they had and kept a good conversation with us. After enjoying a delightful dinner at Tokii, our server Stefano recommended that we visit the bar. As soon as we stepped into the bar, we were greeted by an enchanting atmosphere—exceedingly cozy and intimate. Bartender Matteo expertly guided us through the menu, providing detailed explanations of the concepts behind each drink. It was truly an exceptional experience.
