Fantastic cocktails and and an amazing team member called David! He was very knowledgeable and incredibly engaging and really helped us settle in.

It is a lovely place to go for a drink! Also David gave great recommendations for our drinks. I will definitely go again to the 8.

Last night I with some friends went to the 8 Bar at the Londoner and David kindly escorted us to the table. I was so amazed of how David looked after us and his service was on top level. Thank you David for your service, we had an amazing time with my friends.

Have been here a few times, nice Japanese style cocktails. My favorite one is matcha, sake is also good. Was sitting at the garden this time, enough warm with the heater 🤗

Loved it. Great place for Saturday night!

The online booking process was a nighmare. Different menus for different bars and different menus at different times. Inside bar? Outside terrace? Couldn't make head nor tail of it and ended up not at all sure what I'd booked. However, when we got there it was absoluely stunning and the staff were all lovely. Great waiter! We ended up in the Shima Garden which was gorgeous. Two giant problems - a rasied step up to the searing area which was impossible to see. I tripped over it going to the table and fell off it leaving the table. And a big standing heater very close, which, when I fell down the step, I was lucky not to crash into. I was with my daughter after the theatre. The menu was very limited but the food we had was delicious. The cocktails we had were also delicious but a sadly small cocktail menu compared to the pages and pages of wines and spirits menu. We'd have gladly drunk out way through a few more delcious cocktails if there had been more on offer (don't have the Matcha one, though). My first reaction was to give this five stars but sadly have to take a star off for the limited cocktail menu, the confusing booking process and the life-threatening combo of step and heater!

We stayed at The Londoner. It was an amazing hotel, very convenient as it's close to everywhere. Lovely spa and great complentarie tea, coffee and soft drinks.

Good cocktails but weird service. We have been asked to provide our names and telephone numbers as soon as we walked in “for the security of people around us”… why? Did we look frightening?

We got the valentines set, the food was disastrous and we all had stomach pains after. The sashimi was the same quality as that of itsu, sliced in hazardous ways. The lobster tempura was oddly sour from the vinegar, the butter chicken incredibly salty. Terrible food, good service, but absolutely terrible food. 0 worth, also the tables are an odd height, overall definitely will not return whatsoever. The set is such a scam for its £220 price.

Charity Function for Great Ormond Street Hospital- excellently planned and executed. Service exemplary .meal top quality, whole night fantastic.

I had Nanbu Bijin Umeshu (Plum Sake) tonight for the first time it was absolutely delicious very refreshing like a dessert wine very nice I would definitely have it again I also had some king prawns in a filo pastry with a wasabi mayonnaise which was very different but I found delicious and I would definitely have it again. The staff who I had were extremely friendly very professional they walked us to our seats and made us feel welcome they informed us of the different specials that are available that night and we'd never felt pressured to order quickly ultimately we had a good night there and we'll definitely return potentially to eat outside and enjoy the view of the London eye. 🥰

Overall, it was a good experience.

Me and my friends have visited the rooftop bar on several occasions, the last being just before Xmas 2023. We have always enjoyed the atmosphere and great cocktails. But what has gone wrong..? The cocktail menu has all but disappeared. 4 martini based and 4 sparkling cocktails! I asked about the full list but the waiter had no real clue and just rattled off something barely audible. I asked further with another staff member and just got the same waiter come over and parrot the same thing. The place was pretty dead. Maybe the chill cocktail vibe has been killed off. The American lady mixologist of 2022 seems long gone. Shame.

The ambiance was wonderful but the food was rather poor - both my friend and I agreed that it was extremely over-salted. In addition, we found that the cocktails were just alright. I am not certain whether I would recommend returning, despite the atmosphere and decent service.

The atmosphere in this place is amazing and would love to visit in Spring or Autumn. Food was good, service was ok a little slow but staff were pleasant nonetheless.

Very nice bar/hotel in Leicester square. Some lovely photogenic spots. When you enter the hotel there's a pretty Christmas tree to your Right, seating in the middle, and then a piano and drum set below a lovely staircase. You must check in with your reservation for 8 at the Londoner downstairs by the lift, then you'll be sent up to the 8th floor. Unfortunately we couldn't really see the view, as the doors to the terrace were locked, but nether the less the decor is lovely (more so to the left) so if you want to sit in the nicer and brighter area make sure you mention when booking. Our corner was still nice, but the speaker was too loud and the lights were too dim (only dim lights on the wall, so even the photos were terrible as there was no lighting coming from in front of us), and there was a couch, for half the table and small stalls for the other half, so not very comfortable. I ordered 1 cocktail, which wasn't any good and of course over priced, so I didn't order another. Everything I tried food wise was extremely lackluster, considering the cost it was shocking. I actually didn't enjoy anything I ate. The rib eye was cooked well, but the flavor was off. And the rib eye was better than the wagyu which is saying something. Honestly felt like I just threw my money in the trash, but I was there for a birthday so I didn't want to complain. If it wasn't for the service and the atmosphere, my rating would've probably been a 1. Although I was disappointed that I had to request that mine and the birthday girls coats could be put in the cloak room, considering they had offered everyone else, I waited about 40 minutes before I asked. The toilet is nice though - heated seats, built in bidet. I genuinely can't recommend any dish.

Great atmosphere, very laid back and chilled out.

The Londoner is the best hotel in London by far! We have been many times and every time we leave we are blown away with the service and impeccable attention to detail that we have received. Location is great and the staff are amazing especially Rohan and Jennifer they went above and beyond. We had breakfast there too which was 10/10. We also make sure to visit the spa on every visit as this is such a lovely space to relax and unwind. Definitely recommend!

Great evening to celebrate our anniversary a year after having our wedding at the Lomdoner. The service was top notch while welcoming. The food was gourmet level despite it being officially bar snacks. There was an array of Wagyu beef which is rare to find in London. I had the crab soup which was delicious. The drinks were great too which I had a Japanese whiskey sour. We even had a free high end sake because it was our anniversary! The only negative was that it's far from cheap. Oh and a decent view too. Definitely worth a visit for a rooftop saki & wagyu beef taco in central London!

First visit to this fabulous venue! Stayed for drinks only, really nice vibe. Service was great, my iPhone battery was running low and when I asked if someone could give it a little charge whilst there not a problem at all.

Another excellent night with Lukas and team Aardrian? Can’t spell but they were amazing hosts.

Fancy rooftop bar with unique drinks

The best place to go in London!

We were staying at The Londoner when we decided to visit the rooftop bar. When we stepped off the elevator, we were instantly impressed! The atmosphere is relaxed and the interior is stunning. Plus great views of the city, especially at night. The service was flawless. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. Our drinks were beautiful and delicious. We wish we would have thought to eat dinner there! The menu looked delicous. We will absolutely be back!

Had a great time here after the theatre and enjoyed the DJ and cocktails and atmosphere. Great views of the EYE in the dining room and bathrooms. The service was nice and cocktails were interesting. We had eaten so i haven't tried the food yet. I will be back!

A hidden gem right by Leicester Square. Escape from the busy crowd and dive into this elegant cocktail bar. Enjoyed the view of London Eye and Big Ben from the Terrace.

Delicious food and great service. Ambience was very nice with a DJ playing electronic music at sound level that still allow conversation. Great place for a date or a night out!

Tried to book drinks before our dinner in whitcombes restaurant downstairs and they wanted a £100/head just to have a quick drink. We had a large booking, so happily took the booking elsewhere. Aweful.

Really good cocktails at this bar. Has nice outside space and also sweeping views of London. Good service. Will come back soon

Exquisite drink menu and location, very nice place to be

I have been to 8 @ The Londoner a few times, it’s a great spot to enjoy drinks before or after dinner. If you’re able to sit on the terrace there is a lovely view of the London eye and on a day where the weather is clear, it’s a lovely view! Otherwise there is the Shima garden which is unique to sit out on in summer or winter.

Didnt have any food so giving it 3 as it wouldnt be fair to leave it blank or give it 5 stars. Drinks are great. They are willing to make drinks off the menu if you ask. Nice ambience and great service. Only had a drink.

Kids not allowed after 9pm. That was a good to know. But otherwise beautiful place!

Restaurant on a top floor of a luxurious hotel, I particularly liked the customer service, staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was good, inside seating is not particularly great in the middle/inside section of the restaurant. Outside seating is prettier and you have the views by you. It was my cousins birthday so they bought complimentary drinks which was very nice of them.

I found it very strange, I was already on the third order and I was sitting on the porch, here I come the guy who was serving me told me that I had to leave where I was because my stay time was over and I had a reservation. that's because I'm a guest at the hotel and my third dish hadn't arrived yet. I found it inelegant

It's a cozy bar to enjoy cocktails with friends here.

I visited The Londoner yesterday, I travel a lot for work, so I stay many nights in different hotels and I can say loudly that the Londoner is one of my favourite hotel and restaurants, with fantastic atmosphere, view and service. The food was absolutely stunning, I didn’t have much appetite but I ended up ordering lots dishes, they looked so good and I wanted to try them all 😂 and I can say that they were one better then the other one. Unfortunately I had to drive, so I wasn’t able to drink any of the amazing cocktails that I saw coming but they looked amazing and I’ sure they were delicious too. The service was excellent, Gabriella was constantly checked up on me and make sure I was okay and so did Julio the assistance manager. I was lucky enough to be able to visit all the bars in the hotel, rooftop, ballroom and Spa, Sara and Julio showed me around, such a great treat 🥰 All the staff made me feel welcome and special. I don’t use to leave reviews but I have to this time. I will definitely be back soon at The Londoner. If you want fine dine and great atmosphere, now you know where to go. Thank me later ;)

One of the nicest venues and even nicer staff! Beatrice went above and beyond and was so patient for an event I needed planning. Nothing was too big or small and a truly lovely lady to deal with. I HIGHLY recommend them and the views are just phenomenal.. thank you Beatrice!

Came to celebrate a sunny day out with some nice cocktails and was not disappointed. The 8 bar has an amazing selection of drinks for all tastes and not only are they aesthetically pleasing they are delicious too! 10/10 would recommend for a treat

Super venue. Bar on the rooftop, the smartly situated heaters make for a comfortable experience. Service was exceptional, we had some spicy edamame beans - excellent. It can be a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Definitely returning again.

The food was delicious and the ambience was amazing. They brought the food very quickly as requested. The cocktails were fantastic and the presentation was very delightful. Although, i would like to say that the music was a bit unexpected and not suited for the ambience. A Japanese folk instrumental music would definitely get you a better vibe as the place is themed as such. I would like to add that the service was very welcoming and i would definitely recommend this for a nice cozy get together, date, a catch up or just for the views of The City of London.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Location is good and the views from the roof top bar are OK and only OK. Our billionaire prime minister celebrated his "promotion" and given the cost of food and drink here, you perhaps need to have an exceptionally rich wife behind you to come here. Everything is eye wateringly expensive, for a venue that is OK. My recommendation is to go to the OXO or Shard for better views of London at prices that are either comparable/better. Food was OK but were 3, yes count them, 3 taco lobster bites really worth £32? Personally, I love good food and am happy paying for it, but this place is form over substance.

Reluctant to leave a review as I’d like to keep this place secret! Lovely views, inventive cocktails with Japanese influence. I haven’t tried the food behind the Padron peppers, which were excellent. Be ready to pay £18 per cocktail with a steep 15% service charge.

Great lounge bar, lively music, exquisite cocktails. Our favourite was the osaka yuzu, a twist of the paloma. The views from the terrace are fabulous. The toilets are remote controlled, but I can't describe the experience, you'll have to try for yourself

An impressive hotel where style, design and engineering meet seamlessly.

We have a nice dinner with my daughter. It is the 2nd time I am coming and in both occasions the quality is above expectations! Service is quick , plates tasteful, staff polite. The restaurant has also view to London area. Prices a bit higher than average , but the overall experience is simply great!

Friendly staff, live music and delightful decor.

On the high end in terms of price. Only had some starters, but what we had was yummy and the cocktails nice and strong.

Nice lounge on ground floor. Very luxurious hotel and a decent crowns. Despite its location, it’s not too busy and not well-known. It’s expensive, so they probably keeps the crowds away too. M had two cocktails which were very good and well made. Service was good. Cocktails are very expensive, but not outrageous (considering London prices).

Overall a spectacular roof terrace. We went here for pre birthday celebration and really had an amazing time. Great place to go for drinks and dinner.

My boyfriend and I visited 8 at the Londoner last December and it was one of our favourite restaurants. The food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing. The atmosphere was also great and the restaurant looked lovely. There is also an outdoor bar but which looked great too. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a fancy meal and a beautiful setting.

Lovely ambiance at the outdoor seating. Cozy seats with heaters nearby. Absolutely lovely cocktails - my fav was the Sakura Royale. The appetisers were simple but nice, the seabass carpaccio was a bit disappointing but the beef tataki was great! Service was good and they were attentive. Pricey place but worth it! Definitely will visit again.

Can not fault this restaurant!! Beautiful decor and the food was incredible. We opted for the special set menu (£120) and the Saki paired with each dish made the dining experience a special one. Our waiter was fantastic, very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. In fact I must say the staff at this hotel were all exceptional. If you want something special I can’t recommend this place enough. It is the first restaurant that I’ve ate in which doesn’t offer desserts, although I will say that the dishes themselves were generous, the Saki selection was exceptional so made up for no desserts!

Came here for some drinks, booked a table in the Shima garden which was really easy. Didn’t know what to expect but when we arrived we were blow away! The shima garden was beautiful and great place to be with relaxing music. But the best part is the drinks. If you like Japanese style cocktails this is the place to go!

Really nice experience as we stayed for the weekend for my wife's 40th birthday. There's a lovely spa in the basement. The reception lounge has a live band in the evening and the staff are very attentive. Having said that despite having a king room the view was not great despite asking in my notes to have a room with a nice view bcos of the special occasion. Also nothing on arrival from the hotel until I alerted them of my request. They delivered a little box of chocolates for the wife saying happy birthday which was nice. We went out for dinner on the sat night and came back to the hotel to spend the rest of time in their roof top bar. Very swanky, intimate and of course the views of London were to be remembered! The next morning I 'thought' I booked breakfast at the hotel but... fortunately I didn't bcos it's a bit pricey for what you get...no doubt all the overheads of a great experience is baked into the price. It meant we went outside the hotel to get breakfast. There were many options which is something I suggest. It gets you out the hotel a bit which is always nice because when you return you really appreciate the hotel more!

**""update: came back 01 Aug Love the concept of the bar, the one part of the bar is suspended 8th floor up and it's secured with all this rops. The MARGARITA is to die for. And i hate anything with tequila but this .... Kuddos to the waiter who recommended it. The nibbles are amazing ... We had the taco with wagyu beef ....yummmm Strongly recommending the bar !!!

What a fabulous venue. We visited as a hen party and we were treated like royalty. The service was exemplary from the moment we entered the building. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, it was such a treat. A special thanks to Beatrice, André and the team at the 8. Thank you for making our special occasion so special. Will look forward to visiting when we are next in London.

Good place to escape from the crowds of Leicester Square for a relaxing drink. Food at the Shima Garden bar has limited veggie options and needs to be improved. If you don't mind a little exposure use the accessibility toilet. See photo for the view you get in return of Nelson's column and the London eye.

Amazing cocktails and delicious food for sharing (vegetarian and non vegetarian). Excellent service throughout the evening - all their staff were so happy and friendly. Willing to serve with a smile! We held an after work drinks get together here. Great atmosphere!

Very touristy (but to be expected given the location), inside is faux posh and quite cheap decoration, food is very average, small portions and over priced. The shima garden is a very awkward layout with small tables around the outside. Many better places to eat for the same price.

I wanted to take my sister out as a treat and came across 8 at the London online. I had not been before however looking at the pictures and reading the reviews It seems like a great bar and I was eager to try. Staff were excellent and very knowledgeable on the menu. We went on Jubilee weekend however it was not overly busy. They are many different areas within the bar to sit, each with a different vibe. We first started out on the outside which has a beautiful view of London. After this we moved to the Shima garden where there was DJ playing house music. Cocktails were delicious, we didn’t get the chance to try any food although it looked really good. Something else I just have to mention is …. The toilet which was equipped with washing a drying features.. quite impression. Love this bar and will defo be back.

We sat outside on the rooftop terrace. Glorious sunny day. Service was professional and prompt. We had excellent cocktails Lychee Rosé and a bottle of Chardonnay. Nice views of Beg Ben and London. Very clean. Recommended.

Amateur service, not polite. Waitress spilled half of my drink which costed around 20 pounds, and never offered to bring me a new one.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The music, vibe and food was spectacular. We went on a Saturday night and I've heard the best nights are Friday and Saturday if you want a scene. We would definitely go again when we are back in London.

This is one of the places where everything is great - food, drinks, atmosphere and service. It is quite pricey for food but quality is good. Their cocktails were amazing - Loved their Vanilla Manhattan! Definitely recommend for business or special occasions with friends.
