City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
02/05/2019: The place is beautiful and the tea pots and cups just perfect. The service was also great. The savoury part of the high tea and the tiny scones and delicious clotted cream were a wonderfully good experience. However, the sweet tray was too sweet. I could see there was variety and quality, but just too sugary-sweet..
01/05/2019: Two teastands, one savoury, one sweet. Delicious little works of art disguised as food. A comprehensive selection of teas and infusions. Fantastic service. Tasteful music. Everything is stylish and refined. British culture at its best. And all this for £ 35.- plus 13.- for a glass of champagne. An experience you will think back of fondly for the rest of your life.

CCCP Restaurant

Eastcliff, Thanet, <20£
05/05/2019: The food was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. All round a great Sunday evening. Definitely will come back. Thank you. 😊😋
27/04/2019: Our second visit, the food just as good as the first time. A delightful find, friendly family run restaurant, definitely recommended and will be returning with friends.

Cheetham, Manchester, >100£
05/05/2019: This sushi place is a little off the beaten track but is definitely worth the short journey. If the oysters are on the menu they are perfect. Do ask if they’re not on the board. Variety of Tunas is also great to try different styles.
30/04/2019: I'm not a Sushi die hard, but I have been to a few places in Manchester. So In terms of comparisons, we are talking about 12 times better than "Yo Sushi", and although Umazushi is more expensive, it's not THAT much more expensive than Yo Sushi, so definitely worth coming here instead.

The Olive Tree

Padstow, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, 20-30£
02/05/2019: We wanted to celebrate our Anniversary with a special meal and we were not disappointed .The Olive Tree has a great atmosphere which is very relaxed. We were made to feel special and nothing was to much trouble for our host. The service was excellent .The meal was amazing everything was cooked to perfection Every one should experience this hidden gem . we are looking forward to our next visit
28/04/2019: A small restaurant with not too many covers means an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. Food very well prepared and cooked. The owner who is front of house is very friendly and gave excellent service. If you are in this part of the country, go here. You will not be disappointed.

Old Vienna Restaurant

Wellswood, Torbay
30/04/2019: The old vienna has a really warm welcoming feel to it. The owner is a really nice man and has become a friend of the familys. He does really scrummy food and tops it off with what he calls yodeling juice. Oh and not forgetting the home made puds aswell.
29/04/2019: Found the restaurant small and friendly with excellent food, good service and nice to see Verna (the chef) come and say hello to customers. Charlotte was very good and they all made us feel welcome

Penceunant Isaf Tea Rooms

Llanberis, Gwynedd
05/05/2019: We got to the tea house having had a fantastic day going up the pyg track and then down llanberis pass....dry but very tired
03/05/2019: This must be one of the most friendly and hospitable hospitality establishments anywhere in the world. The friendly welcome that we and everyone receives is exactly what you want after walking the Llanberis path that this at the bottom of. The fruit cake is simply divine and the whole experience of Snowdon is greatly enhanced by a visit here.

Ditto Restaurant

Whitby West Cliff, Scarborough, >100£
05/05/2019: Table for 2, dinner, early May. We booked about three weeks before. It appears we were lucky.
05/05/2019: This restaurant was the oasis in the desert. Here’s a chef who knows his food. Food combinations were delicious. A lot of thought gone into the menu and for us we were spoilt for choice. Definitely going back again to try the other great choices. Yum!

Burr's Restaurant

Newport Central, Isle of Wight, <20£
28/04/2019: On one of our all to rare visits to the island a trip to Burr's is an absolute must. The quality and value are excellent, the front of house team are attentive but not intrusive and the atmosphere is always relaxed and not library like. Tried many but not found it's equal on the island. A massive pat on the back for chef and his team.
27/04/2019: We have eaten at Burr’s before, but not for a good few years. As my husband had arranged a “boys night” on our anniversary (!) he took me out yesterday and we popped into Burr’s without booking.

Mill Race Teashop

Addlebrough, Richmondshire
04/05/2019: We came here after viewing the falls mainly because of the trip advisor reviews. There is a cafe in the car park that I imagine gets alot of trade due to it being next to the car park, whereas if you walk down the hill you get to this stunning little riverside tea rooms. The ladies running it were so pleasant and the produce fantastic. Me my wife and 2 year old really enjoyed our visit to this lovely small beautiful tea rooms
29/04/2019: As a family enjoying a good walk along the adjacent Aysgarth falls and beyond we were pleased to have a tea and coffee stop here. Excelent selection of savouries and cakes, scones were enjoyed by our group. We all commented on how good the food was and how generous a portion ws served. The scones were probably the best I've ever tasted.

Samphire Seafood Restaurant

Mid Argyll, Argyll & Bute
05/05/2019: We ate here today for lunch and it did not disappoint. Fresh, beautifully cooked seafood and meat. Staff were so friendly. We will definitely be back.
29/04/2019: After two weeks of mediocrity, it was really nice to have a couple of dishes that were done well. They were simple, but well prepared and used fresh ingredients. We tried to eat there again, but they were fully booked.

Poco Pizza

Lyme Regis, West Dorset, <20£
27/04/2019: This was our first time here and we were more than impressed.
26/04/2019: Oh but this place is fantastic. Great wood-fired pizza made with love and care with well sourced ingredients. Lovely atmosphere (even at 5.30 for an early dinner), friendly service and some banging tunes to boot. I can literally see nothing that could be improved here. My girls (6 and 11) also thought it brilliant and ate every last crumb. Poco Pizza may be small but it is mighty!

The Olive Tree

Cheadle West, Staffordshire Moorlands, <20£
04/05/2019: Can't praise this place enough. We came with a group of friends after a day at Alton Towers. The food was fantastic, and that alone was worth five stars. However, the host made it even more special by being so warm and welcoming - and we all did receive a hug at the end.
03/05/2019: We visited The new olive tree last night for the first time and it definitely won't be the last. The owner Lou and her staff were friendly and attentive, explaining the dishes and menu.we chose the £50 menu for 2 which was fantastic value,we can't wait to go back to try more of there delicious homemade tapas dishes

The Green Yard Cafe

Bridport North, West Dorset
25/04/2019: A cosy gem of a place. Very friendly service, felt like we'd been going there for years despite this being our first visit! A wide variety of main meals and lunches for a little cafe.. but on a modestly sized blackboard, not one of those HUGE menus that screams 'freezer to microwave'. We had a really excellent tomato & basil soup with lovely chunky fresh bread, and a bacon & egg sandwich with the same fab bread (and great bacon, perfectly cooked). Very smooth and rich cup of Lavazza coffee prepared with care. Very highly recommended and the only reason you're unlikely to find us in there is that we don't live near Bridport.
18/04/2019: Stopped by with my dog to avoid being dragged around the shops. Had a lovely hour in here drinking high quality espresso's and eating lovely cakes. Outstanding service makes such a pleasant change from most of th ehigh street brands.
