Cheetham, Manchester, >100£
19/10/2019: (Traducido por Google) Muy buena selección de opciones de sushi. Realmente feliz, fui, pero solo hay buenos lugares alrededor de Manchester por más barato (Original) Really nice selection of sushi options. Really happy I went but there are just a good places around Manchester for cheaper
18/10/2019: Umezushi is legend! It is the go to place after watching Jiro dreams of Sushi. Yes, it’s not the final word for sushi in the UK, but if you’re in Manchester and have a withdrawal symptoms after having visited friends in Omotesando, then supermarket counters are not an option and Yo!sushi is out of the question. Be prepared to see fellow diners do a Meg Ryan impression after tasting the Uni Gunkan before uttering ‘I’ll have what she’s having’. Naturally, superior food does not come cheap so if you’re on a budget then go alone. That way you won’t have to share.

16/03/2020: My husband and I have been to quite a few Michelin star restaurants and this was not that. The ambiance and decor was outdated and the room temperature was slightly chilly, the service average and the food definitely did not meet expectations. We opted for the 3 course dinner and had advised of our dietary requirements upon reservation, unfortunately this was not really accommodated. As our main contained an alcoholic jus this was omitted and no replacement given, therefore the dish lacked a sauce bringing it all together. The only dessert we could have was the hazelnut souffle, this was taken off the bill after I voiced I didn't like it, however, that left us with a course down after waiting a while for it to arrive in the first place. My mocktail was served with a plastic straw (did not expect this from a Michelin star restaurant) and the dishes we did order were all uninspiring. However, the amuse bouche was tasty and we enjoyed the refreshing rhubarb palette cleanser. Overall though, I would avoid spending your money here, there are far cheaper and tastier restaurants in London worth your time and money.
16/03/2020: (Traducido por Google) Buena comida. Gran servicio (Original) Great food. Great service

16/03/2020: Food and service were excellent. The set menu had a lovely range of options and was enjoyed by everyone.
Personal amigable (Original) Come here every year on my birthday for 6 years now. Perfection. Amazing potatoes, amazing desserts, they always have the same amazing quality, never ever been disappointed. Definitely romantic atmosphere! Friendly staff

McHalls Bistro

Claremont, Blackpool, <20£
06/03/2020: Great night out keeping my husband, me and the mother-in-law very happy. Tasty beautiful food covering a wide range of tastes. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back. Sunday lunch sounds excellent.
28/02/2020: We eat at McHalls a lot - always fantastic food, great service and a lovely, relaxed space. Last week they hosted my Mum's 90th birthday party - all done with such care and panache, with the food as good as always. Everyone who came commented on the friendly service -and quality of the food and will come back when they are in town. Gavin also does one of the best Sunday lunches in town.

Food by Breda Murphy

Whalley, Ribble Valley, 20-30£
27/02/2020: (Traducido por Google) Muy buena comida, excelente relación calidad-precio, excelente decoración y personal amable y eficiente (Original) Really good food, excellent value for money, great decor and friendly efficient staff
25/02/2020: We took our parents and children to Breda Murphy on a wet and windy Sunday to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The food, wine and service were exceptional. Thank you to Breda and her team for making our celebration very special.

The Old Bank

Snettisham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, >100£
09/03/2020: A Lovely Sunday lunch. Atmosphere was nice, staff were very friendly. Butternut squash veloutè to start which was delicious and for main I had the lamb shoulder which was perfectly cooked and partner had the beef which was very tender. Only tiny gripe was no extra gravy. This place is definatly worth a try but make sure you book in advance but it is worth it.
23/02/2020: The restaurant is small but definatley not cramped.

The Courtyard

Central and Northgate, Great Yarmouth, <20£
04/03/2020: The meal I ordered featured tough and fatty pork belly, which was mostly inedible, accompanied by vegetables and gravy with little flavour. I am baffled by the other reviews for this restaurant as I find it difficult to believe that the ‘chef’ who produced this meal, which lacked even an appropriate level of seasoning, is capable of maintaining the levels of excellence other patrons have commented on. My companion’s food was adequately cooked but also lacked flavour. An expensive and disappointing experience.
29/02/2020: I don't know what's best. The host and chef or the food he produces. The food is wonderful, freshly cooked and therefore they will deviate from their menu should you wish to change something. The host is wonderful. She is chatty and funny but knows when to leave you in peace to enjoy your meal. This is a tiny restaurant so booking is a must. For me, the best in Yarmouth. I just wish it was where we live rather than the in-laws!

Mill Race Teashop

Addlebrough, Richmondshire
12/03/2020: Came here after visiting Aysgarth Falls lovely little tea room and dog friendly my partner said its the best she's had so must be good
06/03/2020: As with previous reviews the Cheese Scones are yummy. Go for the tea with Wensleydale cheese and Chutney. Delicious. My son had the bacon roll and just loved it. Would highly recommend.

Old Vienna Restaurant

Wellswood, Torbay
03/03/2020: We were recommended by a chef and it completely lived up to the recommendation. Although a little far out of town it proved not too difficult to find. The menu was as advertised and the food was exceptionally tasty. My only possible derogatory comment would be the coffee. In this day and age a proper barista machine is a must, not a vending machine that delivers an americano when a flat white was ordered. This would not prevent me returning however, and I can wholeheartedly recommended it.
(Original) A wonderfully authentic Austrian meal at Old Vienna! This was our first time visiting Torquay and were recommended this restaurant by our B&B. I have family from Austria so it was nice to get some Austrian food in the UK. The chef regularly came out to make sure everyone was happy with their meal, as well as bringing round a glass of schnapps. It was a comfortable and friendly environment.

Verveine Fishmarket Restaurant

Milford, New Forest, 45-60£
11/03/2020: A sublime experience from service execution to the gastronomic delight of the food. We enjoyed the 6 course taster lunch and were returning with family who we were keen to introduce to this delightful restaurant. We were not disappointed with our recommendation and the team delivered their usual excellence. The taster menu is a superb experience and the mystery of what you will receive adds to the experience. It also introduces you to fish dishes which you might not order but yet are superbly crafted. Make no mistake this is the restaurant experience to beat in the central South. Well done the team at Verveine!
11/03/2020: Went here for my wife's birthday and had a quite superb lunch and dining experience. The service was exemplary and the choice for food served was sublime. We decided to leave the choice of food to the staff as this is one of their specialities (tell them any allergies and things you don't care for and leave the rest to them). I would recommend this to anyone, the selection of food ingredients was adventurous, unconventional but boy did they deliver - on every course. To top it all the final bill was extremely good value for money. We are already setting down plans to return. We drove a 170 mile round trip to eat here and it was worth every mile!

Crowland and Deeping St Nicholas, South Holland, <20£
08/03/2020: Four of us all had pizza. Not quite as good as previous visits, a change in pizza base recipe maybe. Saying that it was still very good. Very busy on a Saturday night so suggest booking your table. Desserts not great, seemed like just out of a packet. Friendly service.
05/03/2020: (Traducido por Google) Este lugar es un recordatorio del bistró de antaño. La comida es increíble y tan buena relación calidad-precio. Realmente tienes sentido si ocasión en Giuliano's. Este restaurante familiar es imprescindible si alguna vez en Crowland visita la famosa Abadía (Original) This place is a reminder of the bistro of yesteryear. The food is amazing and such good value. You really feel a sense if occasion at Giuliano's. This family run restaurant is a must if ever in Crowland visiting the famous Abbey

L'amuse Bouche Restaurant

Priory, Malvern Hills
16/03/2020: Came for a family birthday. We had a nice table in the window looking out onto the bridge and waterfall.. There is a very nice ambience here
12/03/2020: Though we didnt stay at the hotel, we ate at the restaurant. We started in the lounge and looked at the menus adn the wine list, and after talking to the host, we chose a wonderful bottle of Italian wine, very smooth silky and full bodied. The restaurant knew that my wife was vegan and I didnt eat red meat, but there were options on the main menu that were perfect anyway. My wife had a starter with beetroot and a main with a colourful array of vegetables. I had the scallops and then the halibut, both tasty and beautifully presented. We even had dessers of creme brulee and a sorbet - on top of an amuse bouche, hot bread and butter (churned by the hotel - one with marmite which I love) another bottle of wine and a glass of port or two, we had a great meal and waddled off home happy.

Thewitchez Photo Design Cafe Bar

Queen's Park, Brighton and Hove
03/03/2020: Came here as it looked quirky and their Manager is a Jack Russell called Mr Shadow - whom I was keen to meet. The ladies that run the restaurant are super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant only seats about 20 people and you have to pay a £10 deposit when you book. It is lit with fairy lights and has a lovely ambiance. Nice retro music. They had draft beers and IPA which were very nice. We had the smoked cheese and herring starters which we shared. I had a pizza which was nice, but my friend had sea bass on sauerkraut with the baby hooves (potato dumplings) which I wish I had had, even though the pizza was lovely. We met the manager who was very discreet and approachable. Not had such a nice meal in a long time in such a nice place. Book to avoid disappointment.
28/02/2020: What a great place! I booked this as a surprise for my hubbie’s bday and he loved it. The atmosphere was just right, small so only a few tables. The menu was really broad and the food was fantastic. Not too pricey including the wine. The attention and friendliness from the staff was outstanding - it’s been a while since I experienced service this genuine and welcoming. Can’t recommend it enough.

Queen Victoria

Wickham Bishops and Woodham, Maldon
18/03/2020: Due to the corona virus James has decided to start doing takeaway food and drink, with delivery to the local 'at risk' community. A great service for the area, and we tried it tonight. Pie and chips yummy as always, and the Irish stew and mash was exceptionally tasty. Well done queen Vic tea
11/03/2020: Friendly and welcoming pub with great food and a lovely atmosphere. All the staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Delighted we live so close to it now.
