We had been planning for over a year to visit the tea room for Arvo tea with scones, jam and cream. With such high expectations the tea rooms did not disappoint. Sensational!! We also had a slice of the coffee and walnut cake. Definitely in the same league as the scones. On top of the treats was the excellent coffee. Best we've had on our travels in the UK. All made by the owners to boot. If you're anywhere near Stow on the Wold it's a must visit. To avoid disappointment, book ahead. First class friendly service.

Booked a table for 15 and emailed Paul prior to arrange. Paul could not do enough to help us and responded promptly. When we turned up we had a great table with amazing view, the service I had from Paul was replicated with all the staff that night especially the guy in the shirt who was looking after our table and was fantastic. Sorry missed your name. Even accommodated for our 20 month old, going above and beyond to welcome our son. Menu was great and varied, food was really well cooked and tasty. Had a great night and will be back soon, if you do have a group it’s best to email as they will look after you.

We have been regulars at L’Artisan for many years. It was our absolute favourite restaurant and we were devastated when it closed. Yves was a magician in the kitchen; the food was always fabulous and imaginative, the presentation beautiful and the ambience wonderful. Elisabeth always made us very welcome, with hugs and kisses all round, as did Anna, their lovely waitress. It was such a relaxed atmosphere and we loved talking to Yves when he emerged from the kitchen to chat with clients. What shall we do now without you? Lesley & Roger

This was near my hotel and they were happy to take a solo diner. I ordered Cigeri. diced lambs liver, sauted, with onion. diced became sliced. it was overcooked, but the flavour was ok. needed sumak. Had the Iskander Lamb Shish. The meat was very tender and tasty. The grilled veg hit the spot, but the sauce was a little bland and the pieces of bread were stale and hard. I had a Pepsi Max to drink. It came in around the £30. They need to take much more care, especially as the prices seemed high.

Tasty steaks, cooked to everyone’s liking. A shared T-bone satisfied both diners, a sirloin was very enjoyable, and the flatiron surprised a sometimes reluctant steak eater, since it was not only tender, but very flavoursome. The accompanying vegetables were nicely cooked and tasty, while the sauce portions were very generous and would easily satisfy more than one person. The service was pleasant and efficient, and the atmosphere was fine; not too noisy for a busy Saturday night.

I’d read about the cream tea, the views and a little about the owner via the Facebook page. We walked from Padstow on a glorious sunny Saturday afternoon. When we arrived we were not disappointed. The scones are beautiful. The view is stunning and the owner spent time talking to us about the area, the tea garden and life. We thoroughly recommend a visit.

Excellent ! A very warm welcome from Rhona - who ensured I had a lovely time - with a pot of tea and a very yummy charro with hot chocolate dip and strawberries ! Pure heaven on a beautiful sunny day ! A lovely restaurant I shall definitely return to when I’m in the Lake District again . Thankyou - it was really lovely ! 😃👏🏻👏🏻

Sunday evening meal for four as part of an impromptu get-together; no firm plans for food but Harvey's was suggested and we were all happy with the choice. Good selection of food and drinks, decent prices, good quality food in good portions (not much left and no-one still hungry, just about right)! Topped off by great cheerful and friendly service from Tilda. Well done Harvey's, we'll be back :-)

My grandson and his beautiful wife had there reception here.i have to say this and brings tears to my eyes(, if I go on I apologise)my husband is in a wheelchair and cannot walk more than a few feet, so is in his wheelchair while we're out.the staff here are the most caring and kindest human beings you could meet.the extent they looked after my hubby when going up and down the few steps, and doing anything in general they were by our side.the post house is the most beautiful venue you could choose beautifuly laid our, and wheelchair accessible. The food we had was really good nicest food i,ve eaten out in a long time, compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff. .the place is spotless, it has a great atmosphere and all ages happy and having fun.there is a beautiful open terrace on the roof accessible by a lift or grand staircase, there are tables out front too,its a very grand building to look at and very well maintained The location in town is great, not far from parking. So my advice book a cell or just go in for a drink ,I,m looking forward to going again.you would have to work hard to find lovely young men/women like the staff here at the post .caring, sharing kind people house(saying young because we're old)

Great food, excellent service and a really nice restaurant to relax in. We have been here several times now and it doesn't disappoint. Abul makes you feel very welcome, and the rest of the staff are attentive and helpful. You can take your own drink and it's probably best to book in advance (which is very simple on their website). We are already looking forward to another visit.
