The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

What an atmosphere on the quietest Friday of the year 👏 the food looked great, but we had already booked elsewhere but will be back for food and have it in the bar as it's dog friendly 😀

Staff were very welcoming for our booking of 70 people and everyone had a great time! Food was also excellent as well as the overall atmosphere in the place would highly recommend!

Went for Sunday roast lunch menu.Food and service excellent.Great singer and good selection of songs.Only comment a wee bit loud to let you have a conversation.

nice place, we took a soup with bread and butter (good soup, the wrapped bread was nothing special) and a wrap with chicken, bacon and onion (really good) accompanied with chips. they seemed a little annoyed, but were quick to serve us. we spent around £6 on the soup and £14 on the wrap.

Primeras impresiones, el lugar parecía deteriorado. No hay personal alrededor para la bienvenida, etc, de todos modos, finalmente encontró la sala de glitterball y un miembro del personal! El servicio de bebidas era muy lento y algunas de las bebidas tuvieron que ser devueltas como mezcladores probado! Los cócteles también eran un mal estándar. La comida fue un completo fracaso. Es triste decirlo, pero no volvería a este lugar o recomendaría a nadie más.

Fantastische afternoon tea gehad voor 17,95£ per persoon. Voor het niet opgegeten deel hebben we boxen gekregen om het mee te nemen naar huis. Een echte aanbeveler! PS: eet niet onder de middag als je er afternoon tea gaat nemen.

Popped in for something to eat before the Enchanted Forest (which got cancelled 😩) but the silver lining was this chip shop. Straight out the best food from chippy I’ve encountered, and I’m no stranger to a weekly chippy 😂 Not to diminish others more negative experiences - my food doesn’t seem to look the same as some of the photos. I wouldn’t say the staff were friendly, they seemed a bit blunt and just there to get on with the job. The atmosphere could be better, it’s dreary and doesn’t give award winning.

Wonderful bar in the centre of town.

Underwhelming! Flat white was burnt. The avocado toast is overpriced for what you get and not even toasted. Also, freezing inside - everyone sitting with jackets and scarves on.

Very disappointed. We've been before and it was really nice but this time it was really poor. The service was good and the pub itself is nice but the quality of the food for the price we paid was not acceptable. Soup was over seasoned and the nachos were terrible. A real shame but we won't be back unfortunately.

I had an issue where I couldn’t get home due to my wife being admitted to hospital at midnight. They were able to support me by making a room available to me. From the bottom of my heart thank you
