We rounded up a lovely evening with cocktails in our favourite hotel bar. The cocktails were superb! The best porn star martini in the city. Every member of staff is always so friendly and helpful. They look after you really well. There's a lovely atmosphere in the bar and it's the best place to start off before a meal or as we did, make the evening last a little bit longer. Many thanks to the staff.

Well where do we start?! We stayed for 1 night on August 18, 2024. THE GOOD The hotel location is great and this hotel is one we have stayed at many times when visiting Glasgow. The rooms are lovely, the beds are super comfy and the bathroom is very relaxing. THE BAD What let this hotel down on this occasion was the "hotel manager". She called herself Irene. This lady was THE most awful staff member we have ever come across. Let me break this down but before I go into detail, I should say she should absolutely never be customer facing. She requires further customer service training. I'm even doubting she was the manager judging by her behaviour. We arrived at the hotel early evening. We were being checked in by Irene and she asked for a £50 security deposit. In the past we have refused to leave this as we pay as we go. Irene insisted we paid it and said it was for damages. £50 is not going to go far for damages but that wasn't the actual issue. The issue was, we had paid in full for a premium room upfront and were denied our stay unless we paid the £50 security deposit. It was myself and my husband checking in. Irene became very confrontational and so did her colleague who decided to come over and assist with applying pressure at if he were her bodyguard. Irene ushered him away but continued to say "I cannot check you in unless you pay the £50". This is when it became even more upsetting. We asked Irene where we were supposed to sleep and she said "I don't know, I cannot check you in and I'm just doing my job". When I told her our payment for the premium room was non refundable, she shrugged and continued to say "I cannot check you in without you first paying the £50". In the end we paid the £50 and went to our room. Our argument was, what if we didn't have £50? Why wouldn't we still be able to use our room?! As we came down to go to the bar for a drink, Irene stopped us in the lobby and said "let me show you on your booking where it says you must pay £50". By this time we were over it just wanted to relax but Irene became heated reiterating her point and I said to her "now you're being confrontational". I also said to her we only paid it because you were willing to throw us out of the hotel despite our paid for booking. Irene said "I did not say that, I said I cannot check you in". Isn't that the same thing? Due to this woman's behaviour we will never again stay at this hotel. Irene, seemed to think it is acceptable to argue her point. In our opinion, if she was trained properly she would have found a way to diffuse the situation. Instead, she chose being right over calm. Despite Irene being told this review would be written, her response was "you're welcome to right a review". What sort of manager encourages bad publicity?! Never again. Well done Irene, you really should be ashamed of yourself.

Today was my first outing to the Radisson Blu in Glasgow. I had read very positive reviews of the afternoon tea and I found it to be excellent. I was particularly impressed with the quality and variety of the savouries, and enjoyed sampling the delicious cream sponge as well as the fruit and plain scones. Michelle, Hannah and the team were so friendly, welcoming and professional and I look forward to my next visit!

The good first: the hotel is in a good location, good breakfast and the bed is comfortable. What was more than strange was that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom. It's not fair to the staff. But when I imagine leaving the toilet like that for your loved one after a successful deal... More than unpleasant. The elevator was also very strange and desperately needs a control panel IN the elevator. The spa was also out of service. Overall, a renovation seems to be overdue here...

Myself and my daughter stayed here as part of the P!NK VIP Experience with Event Travel. The hotel is well maintained and wonderfully presented (despite having some work being done). They very kindly took our bags for us before Checking In time so that we could explore Glasgow with free hands (easier to spend money that way lol). The room (twin) was clean and fresh. The bathroom shower was roomy and powerful. There was bottled water provided and a kettle with various coffees/teas etc. I didn't hear a sound all night and the beds were extremely comfy. Highly recommended!

Packet facilities, but terrible breakfast service. Before I could sit down, the cold food was gone, the coffee machines were broken and there was no initiative to fix it and I had to leave without anyone coming to pick up the hot food order. They are not directly qualified to serve breakfast to a group of people.

Great location in central Glasgow. Despite being a busy hotel which hosts lots of corporate functions, the rooms were quiet. Cool bar and restaurant part of the hotel. Some elevator upgrades happening. Breakfast didn't start until 6.30 weekdays and 7am weekends which was a touch late if you're working although they had a coffee station set up in the lobby. Staff did not service rooms early , even if you left sign up. Was always late afternoon. Very friendly front desk team. Security on the door was useful in a busy central location.

Great location and the hotel is lovely. Was really happy with my room when I arrived. It was clean and fairly large. However, was super noisy when I was trying to sleep. There was really loud rock music from about 10pm - 12am. Service in the hotel was very variable. Some of them were lovely and helpful. However a few looked pretty unenthusiastic to be helping you out. Had one hotel employee try to enter my room without knocking and didn't explain why they tried to enter the room when I asked if they needed to speak to me. Wasn't asked how my stay was at the hotel upon checkout so offering feedback here.

Upon arrival the desk lady was very much in rush and didn’t give much information e.g. where is breakfast etc. she just gave my room cards that’s all. I upgraded my room in order to have a better room but unfortunately it wasn’t better. Tv and espresso machine wasn’t working. I called the reception regarding the matter but no one was sent. As a premium member I am very disappointed with this hotel. I must mention about a lady called Francesca from Italy. She was very lovely and made sure we enjoyed our breakfast. Unfortunately the rest of the staff didn’t care at all. Overall I am disappointed with the service specially reception staff. It really wasn’t worth of 190£/night. I hope they will improve.

My friend treated me to afternoon tea, she informed them I was vegetarian and gluten free. The afternoon tea was a buffet and it looked lovely. My friend reminded them I was gluten free and vegetarian, the response was I will tell the kitchen. Anyway I was given four sandwiches, I don’t mean dainty ones four slice of bread, the filling was salad and that was okay. We were given our drink an£ a pot of tea. But as we sat there for 30-45 minutes no one came and asked if we wanted more tea, we had to ask for more tea, I asked if they could wrap two of the sandwiches as I could not eat 4 and they were put in a paper bag. I also had to ask if they had anything else gluten free and again the response was I will ask the kitchen. Now my friend gave 2 week notice and reminded them the day before about my diet and sadly I do not think they were prepared. My friend enjoyed her food. The service was pretty poor.

It's recently been renovated and the rooms are even more gorgeous decor-wise with everything you'd need for an overnight (or longer) stay. We love the great choice for breakfast and it's great for vegan and vegetarian diets too. Radisson Blu is so handy when arriving by train (Central Station is nearby but not too far from Queen Street either) or bus or if driving, you can park nearby and get your ticket validated. There's even a gym and pool which is a bonus. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and next time, we'll hopefully stay for dinner in the hotel too. Walked into what appeared to be a really lovely room, but things quickly went downhill. After an early start and a long day at work, I just wanted to eat in front of the TV and relax. No TV, their provider had technical issues that were never resolved. Decided on an early night so got ready for bed. Pulled the sheets back and there was definitely a bad smell to the bedding (I suspect unclean sheets) and I didn't have the energy to repack, get dressed and go downstairs to ask for a new room. I slept on the other side of the bed on top of the sheet. Final straw was the queue for breakfast at 07:50. Good for them for booking a large tour group (heading to Belfast they shared), but bad for the business traveller who wants breakfast before their 08:30 meeting. Do not recommend.

A well situated hotel within a close distance from the shops and landmarks. Room was fine. However on both nights we stayed there was horrendous noise from another room on floor3. They decided to have a party which was still ongoing at 2.30am. Reception could have been much more helpful just saying sorry! Very disappointing!!

Stayed on a Thursday night using an itison voucher which we had saved for our anniversary. I do wonder if they earmark substandard rooms for voucher stays. Arrived and checked in without any issues. We were given a discount card for food and drink which was great and completely unsolicited. But I later discovered I’d be signed up to Radisson’s loyalty scheme without my permission to get this. Not the best start. We informed them we were booked in for afternoon tea and dinner and were given all the directions. Lift to room. Wow how weird is the layout of room 530! Pilar right in the middle of the room with a large tv hanging very precariously from it. There’s minimal space between the pilar and the bed, so mind your head! And if you put something in the bin under the desk and you’re not paying attention, you’ll very likely hurt yourself on the corner of it! Everything about the room is very tired. Scuffs on everything. Stains on the carpet and the chairs. Safe didn’t work which meant carrying my tablet down to lunch and dinner. The bathroom isn’t much better. There should be a light around the mirror but I couldn’t find a switch. Don’t wait until you come out the shower to look for the spare towels, they’re next to the entrance door outside the bathroom. I’m unsure why when there are a lot of adequate empty shelves in the bathroom. The shower isn’t great with minimal water pressure and the shower door opens out, so you can’t leave the bath mat outside the shower door. You need to get it after you’ve opened it, so careful not to slip with your wet feet. The bathroom has lovely glass tiles dividing it between the bedroom. Nice until someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night and puts the light on! Bedroom then gets the brilliantly badly designed benefit of that light also. There is tea and coffee fashioned into the black pillar in the centre of the room. There’s a light at the back that either didn’t wort or I couldn’t find the switch for. So my phone light was needed to see what was in there! Don’t wait to the last second to look for the hairdryer. There wasn’t one in our room and I had to call reception to get one. Food...afternoon tea was delicious! The savouries were particularly good! However when we arrived they didn’t have our booking. Which is odd when we booked the hotel, dinner and afternoon tea over the phone at the same time. Anyway, they will of course set a table for us in the lovely room at the back and please wait while they do. No drink offered while we waited. The room was lovely but it could be better. The tables needed a good clean and there were stains all over the cushions. There was a fire on though which was and lovely but needed. Cup had a chip on it which was very obvious! We received the prosecco but had to then ask for the tea after we’d received the food. Just let us know if you need anything else they said but never came near us again. If you want anything you’d need to go looking for someone in the bar. Dinner...there were 3 couples including ourselves and one single gentleman in for dinner. So it was extremely quiet. There only appeared to be one girl serving which they just about got away with. Starters and drinks ordered. There was a little wait and the starters arrived. We had to ask for the drinks. Apparently they’d run out of prosecco but they were sorting that out. Fine but we still had to wait for the other wine ordered. Sadly the starters were shocking! Fish pate was full of bones and the carrot and ginger soup was so full of ginger I literally couldn’t eat it. This was swapped without any quibble. The chicken pate was just ok! We both ordered chicken for main and it was very good. Chips were also great and the side of veg was cooked to order without butter. My husband had date pudding and said it was the best he’d ever had. To round off the night we thought we’d go to the bar for a cocktail however it was so cold that we decided to take the drinks to our room. This was a mistake because they were both so bad. We would have sent them back if we had sat down there. The syrup in one cocktail was so overbearing it was undrinkable. Breakfast was massive. So much choice, as they advertise. They also do made to order food. All in all, despite all the staff being extremely lovely, we definitely won’t be back. I like an itison to try new places and then we often revisit the places we like best. This sadly won’t be on our list.

The room they gave us, 323, had dirty curtains and the shower didn't work. We reported it in the morning and were promised it will get fixed. it wasn't fixed when we got back from our day out and when we rang reception to ask about it they were quite abrupt and rude A very nice engineer turned up and said it needed a new thermostatic valve and it could take upwards of 30 minutes to get fixed. Reception said we will be moved to a different room. I rang them to ask when was the move happening and to which room are we being moved. Initially they denied having any knowledge of a move and when I insisted that they already said we could move as we needed to get ready for a reservation at a restaurant and couldn't wait for the shower to get fixed they yielded and sent the head concierge up who was apologetic and very helpful and professional.they moved us to room 508 which was a bit nicer but had no carpets, we only assume it was a smoking room despite us asking for the room to be non smoking. All in all this visit has been disappointing and not relaxed as we had hoped it to be. Oh, and on check in I informed Cindy at reception that I hold a gold status with them. She did not offer me any upgrades so I asked for one and she immediately said that they already upgraded the room with a bigger bed... Now I am not sure how was that a gold member upgrade when they didn't know I was a gold member until then?.

Had a lovely meal at the twisted thistle. The staff were amazing and the atmosphere was lovely too. The food was perfect. There is a parking area and a beer garden. There is also a function suite available for hire.
