The Hall in Glasgow City

Didn't eat here, but probably should have since I failed to eat at all that evening! The atmosphere was nice, although the music a touch loud.

My go to place for the midweek football. Great atmosphere. Bar staff are always brilliant 👏

Was Good. Went for Rugby. Had Very large screen which was epic. 👍 Was carded at 6pm though during a game for entry which I found Weird but that could be normal.

Bar staff are always pleasant, lovely people. I can't think of a time I haven't been served with a smile. The toilets are always decent and though this is a sports bar kind of place, it doesn't feel like it. Except for the screens everywhere (which means you have a good view from every spot in the joint) the fact this is a sports watering hole is pretty low key. Not an intimidating place to go as a non-sporty person for just a couple of very reasonably prices drinks. The cocktail range is pretty good and there is a good selection on tap, the food is pretty good though a little on the more expensive side but there is lots of choice. You can reserve a table if you like but I've only not been able to get a seat once so far so no need to sweat it. Also there are a couple pool tables if you are that way inclined.

The four of us booked a table here to watch the Scotland v England rugby game and other than being in the ground we could not have had a better time! Special thanks to manager Iain and his team, especially Fleur who looked aft us so well. We had a couple of pizza’s which were tasty and freshly cooked and the range of drinks on offer was splendid. Added to this, the whole ambiance was terrific with supporters from each side enjoying each other’s company and getting along like a proverbial house on fire. It really was a great way to watch the sport with plenty of huge TV screens and I could not recommend it more highly. Thank you to all.

Came in last week to watch the rugby with my friends. Loved the atmosphere and the prices were really good for a Saturday too (students this is the place to be!). Fleur at the bar recommended a lovely cider - props to her for a great time !

Fun laid back pub, food is ver well priced. The ginger girl with glasses who has served me each time I go here has provided absolutely superb service and great, thought provoking discussions

Student hang out generally but have big screens for sport and show rugby. Pizza was fresh and tasty . Drinks are a bit expensive at 6.60 for tapped (not cask) ales, punk IPa and 5.70 for morretti and other regular drinks. Was busy when rugby was on. There is an app for ordering at your table and service was quick.

Was in last thursday for food and a couple of drinks. Food great quality and the bar staff great especially Paul who was very attentive and polite.

I was here on Tuesday and the girl Georgina behind the bar was excellent and loved talking about F1 and Ferrari. The food was amazing as well.

I was at the Hall with friends on Saturday afternoon (27.1.24). A great place, with an excellent range of beers, both “standard” and craft. Great crack with the staff and the music wasn’t overload, as can be the case in sports bars. I managed to leave something behind of great importance to me. When I phoned next day, a member of staff had already found it, and it is now in the post on its way back to me. All in all, a great afternoon, and fantastic service, thank you very much.

Great pub with plenty to do great atmospheric

My mate and I got kicked out for “having too much to drink” when this wasn’t the case at all. The real reason confirmed by the female manager was because two girls felt uncomfortable, simply because we asked to jump in a game of pool with them as there was no available tables and they were hogging it. If they had simply asked us to move or say no to playing, that would have been enough for us to say that’s absolutely fine and continue sitting with our drinks watching the football scores. I feel like the male manager was looking to aggravate the situation by saying we had too much to drink, when he even knew himself this wasn’t true. Better people management skills required, sir. I’m happily married with 2 kids, I don’t need to make people feel uncomfortable and I certainly wasn’t hitting on anyone as that’s not my game or nature. 2 honest guys, out for the football, having a few drinking, only wanted a game of pool. Shame on the girls as well - I’m all for their protection but this made me feel extremely seedy. Clearly unable to read the situation. If you live like that; maybe stay at home, ladies.

STUDENT PINT: £2.75 Great bar to just sit and hang out fir a couole of hours. Really airy and usually has decent music playing. The drinks atemt too expensive and the pool table is in a great spot where you have room to play and in peace.

Really brillant bar with clean tables and benches and modestly priced drinks and food. Thé student deals are unbeatable, this should be the go to bar for students who wanna watch sports

Watched a few sporting events here and it's all class. Recommend for the Scotland games

Recently visited The Hall(first time since COVID and lockdown). Has been done up similarly to The Ark in N.Fredrick street(think they are owned by same group) Not as good as it was a few years back, service was ok although a little slow and folk at pool table a bit rowdy but not trouble while I was there. Didn't have food so can't comment on that.

Food was grim. Ordered a hotdog, it tasted barking (pun intended) the Mac n cheese on it was mediocre at best, the crispy bacon bits didn't exist & the bread was harder than a night in Barlinnie. £15 for that and a fresh orange was a crime in itself!

Just been to the hall and had great service by Duncan. 10/10 top man, knows how to hold the fort down 🫡😉😉

Went to the hall for a few drinks with friends, got served by the wonderful Duncan and Fleur and they were exceptional. I would return and would happily recommend to a friend.

Had a lovely wee evening in this venue enjoying the football and playing some pool. Bar man (Paul) was an absolute joy to chat with and absolutely made my night with his witty anecdotes and fantastic knowledge of Scotland and the musical stylings of Taylor Swift. Great vibes, will be back! 😍

I came here for the first time the other day on a friend’s recommendation. The tennis was on and the drinks are a decent price. Also loved the attitude of the staff - everyone was so friendly. Special shoutout to fleur who was serving us, she was great. All around a good experience and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Only eaten here once and I can highly recommended the Burrito Bowl, hats off to the chef, fresh and tasty. Shout out to Iain and Joseph behind the bar for outstanding service and great banter! Amazing pub! Great burgers, great selection of beers especially during the week £3.50 for all craft and cocktails Iain was very helpful and an older English man can’t remember his name tho. Will definitely be back!

Went into bar for a drink and some food before going to theatre only way to describe this experience is dreadful, organised caos. Waited 30 mins before approaching bar staff as to how much longer food would be. The young frustrated rude young lady behind the bar certainly did not welcome the complaint. After eventually getting to speak to manager full refund given as we were unable to wait any longer no apology though Obviously dnt need the custom.

We were looking for a pub to watch the ashed cricket match at and multiple other pubs recomended the Hall. Very good pub with reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff. We ordered the 3 starters for $12 deal, the Karaage chicken, Halloumi skewers and the Calamari. All were delcious and delivered quickly. Nice place to eat

Great sports cafe. A lot of screens available, in various sizes streaming various sports. Staff was nice and the vegan burger was pretty good too.

Good place for some drinks. Good atmosphere and very well priced compared to other City Centre pubs. £3.50 cocktails and beer during the week is great. Will be back midweek next time to get this offer.

Waited 2 and a half hours for some below average pub food. Halloumi fries pictured were £5 and were like burnt cardboard. Burgers were sloppy & fries somehow undercooked and overcooked at the same time. Was compensated with 2 drinks for a table of 8 after the wait. Not enough. 2 and a half hours! The place wasn't even busy. Avoid for food. Drinks a bit expensive but at least you can order them at the bar. Someone was loudly throwing up in the bathroom both times I went.

Realy friendly bar staff that were very quick to make sure my 2 dog's had plenty of water and claps aswell. Great atmosphere too at an excellent location. Top rank

Took my son to watch the football after 2 hours of sitting watching the football we got asked to leave as my son is 16. I don’t get way we had to leave at 3:30 in the afternoon when we where just sitting watching the game with diet cokes

We ordered a burger and chips and Nachos because there was nothing else available according to staff.The Nachos were the worst my wife has ever eaten ,sparce,a little cheese,small portion of guacamole, no cream. Eaten in 2 minutes. My burger was OK but it came with one small handful of chips. It took 35 minutes to arrive. A waste of twenty pounds.

We went on a weekday afternoon and the pool tables were free, the drinks were reasonably cheap and the food looked decent.
