We had a lovely meal the place and the staff were helpful and friendly

Fantastic service and food lovely. Very welcoming and lovely for a cozy drink. Would def recommend. Staff very welcoming and took the time to chat after our meal. Never felt rushed even though we were the last to leave.

We were just passing and saw this place; very nice looking building; we parked up and went in asked for a table and the staff was very helpful; and what a lovely meal we had, Great value for what we had; surroundings are very nice indeed and a view of country side out of window brilliant; Will definitely return there ; Excellent food; The only problem we found was the staff were a bit nervous.

Great Quiz Night @ The Rowan Tree...🥃 We booked a table for the monthly quiz night at the Rowan tree restaurant Armadale and had the best night. Craig, Claire, Ellie & Kai were on point and looked after us all night. Claire took our drinks order, Large bottle of prosecco, (temu) Strongbow dark fruit & a lemonade. All place on the table within 5 minutes.....🥂. Ellie then came over and got our food order, 2 Kebab & Fries with sauce, Ultimate chicken burger and the mah-oosive gamon steak & Chips. Food was on our table within 8 minutes.....Fabulous❤️‍🔥. After finishing all our delicious 😋 food we had our table cleared and now it was time for the QUIZ! (PSSST, we are rubbish) lol. Ellie & Craig made sure we never had empty glasses for the rest of the night.....🍺🥂cheers. After all the excitement, we never came last in the quiz, phew. Then when the final bill came for our food and drinks......Absolute bargain. Massive thanks to Craig, Claire & the team.

Our wee visit on the 30th August 2024 was for our sons 23rd Birthday, We all had a brilliant time with Craig & his team looking after us. We all ordered drinks 1st, 1 bottle 75cl prosecco 2 pints of Inch's cider and a can of Irn-Bru, Our 2 boys had starters, Mac & Cheese bites and Mac & Cheese with pulled pork, both were delicious. Our main courses were, Pepperonis pizza, Surf & Turf, Donner Kebab last but not least Fish & Chips (what was the size of a whale). Everything was perfect, steak cooked to perfection and the fish batter was super crispy! (Thank you). The birthday boy, finished off with a chocolate brownie cake and ice cream. We are looking forward to our next visit to The Rowantree Restaurant in Armadale. Please pass on to Craig & his team, Thank You so much you all give us a fantastic service. 😍🥃

Second visit here as first time was last Sunday and the Sunday roast was really good, this visit earliar tonight though was very dissapointing, both my son and I ordered the hunters chicken, felt ripped off when we were presented with it, chicken breast was tiny with a squirt of bbq sauce and very little cheese, no veg except for a small half of tomato and a garnish not suited to the dish , puts me off going back as it was a pathetic looking dish for the price charged , all in I paid £89.7 I’d have been better off going into Glasgow and getting my moneys worth, ordered deserts as the portion of chicken would have struggled to feed a 2 yr old!

1. Pre-booked a table for 8pm, got to the restaurant and was told to wait till the staff checked to see if the kitchen was still open to serve us. 2. Told it was ok, but we would have to hurry and order. So not a relaxing meal out, just ordered first thing seen. 3. Found staff unfriendly and not one with a smile. 4. Payed our bill after having to question the inflated price (£41.63 which should have been £29.98). Staff member seemed rather annoyed with us, even though it was their mistake! 1 wine eventually deduced from bill, but not the lager shandy, not a mention of it not part of the deal. No apology or thank you for our business or even gratitude for the generous tip my husband gave. I certainly wouldn’t have tipped for this poor service.

Its a nice place for a pint where music is not loud which is great and service helpful and polite. Loads of space outside to sit. Unfortunately food isnt good. Steak was burnt and pizza tiny (£12!) with no flavour . Cant get a baked potato after 3pm which is bizarre

Food and services great 👍 could not fault and would highly recommend. , is children running around, screaming, not so great. Watch if you are put next to the fire door as you will fteeze when kids are running in and out if you go in the evening. If you want a quiet meal, don't get put in children's area

Everything was amazing. Waiting staff very friendly. Food is always piping hot and fresh. Never had a bad meal. Always some sort of deal going on. As a family of 3 we never tire of the place it's our go to restaurant

The place is very nice and staff is professional and polite, however we have had some issues with our orders, we were missing starter from our order. In general, good was tasty and overall experience was positive.

Came to the Rowan Tree last night for dinner. Me and my husband had a lovely meal and was blessed with the sweetest server Grace, she was very kind and attentive which definitely elevated our experience and seeing as it was our first time dining here exceeded our expectations. We ordered a chicken tikka and a southern fried chicken burger which was delicious! Thank you Rowan Tree and thank you Grace!

We got seated very quickly even without booking in advance. Food was lovey and our waitress nice and friendly.

Excellent night again! Always such a welcoming atmosphere and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend whether it’s just for a spot of lunch with the kids, an evening meal or even just a few drinks to relax. Always our go to place! 5 stars all round.

Lovely friendly staff. Not over fussing but there. Food arrived in good time giving is time to chat and enjoy a drink. Food was good and a decent portion. Place was clean, tidy and welcoming.

booked a table and when we arrived it took 2 minutes to get seated. we got everything ordered and the wrong drinks come.. in our stay we had 5 waitresses. when food arrived chips were the best part. meat was dry, bland and bacon was very tasteless. we then did decide to stay for pudding and that was very good. cake was a little dry but with custard it was amazing

Very busy was there on wed night with friends

We were a table of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids) the service was first class. All starters, main meals and desserts were delicious. My dad who only likes small plates of food was allowed to order off the kids menu, which made him extremely happy. Will definitely recommend the rowan tree to others and will definitely be back.

Lovely dinner at Rown Tree last night. Service was great by Rebecca, she even played along with my family member who was determined to get an 'ice cream knickerbocker sunday' 😆. Not many places have that family friendly and welcoming atmosphere. You guys have got that down to a 'T'. Definitely recommend to others.Will be back soon!! thanks guys!!

I ordered Veggie Pizza and it arrived very sparsely covered with toppings. 25% had no toppings at all. When I advised staff that this was not satisfactory I was told that ‘there is a set amount they can put on the pizza”. Utterly ridiculous reply and no other statement from the staff member who then walked away. Won’t be back due to both the quality of food and staff attitude.

I booked a slot for an evening celebration, only to be called on the day of to be informed that my reservation had been cancelled because the venue closes at 6 PM. This was incredibly confusing since there were booking slots available online until 8 PM. Nowhere was it mentioned that the restaurant closes earlier—what’s the point of having these times listed if they’re not accurate? To make matters worse, the person on the phone was shockingly rude and dismissive. There was no recognition of the fact that this was a birthday dinner or that the fault was entirely on their end. A simple apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused would have gone a long way, but instead, the interaction felt cold and unprofessional. This combination of “technical glitches” and abysmal customer service is unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to cover it.

We booked online which was easy to do and received a reminder by text the day before. Table area was clean when we arrived. Server (Claire) took our drinks order as soon as we arrived and had shown us to our table. Ty served our drinks quickly. Our food order was taken within a good time, didn’t feel rushed to order but didn’t take ages to order either, timing was perfect. Food order arrived in good time too, all freshly made, hot and tasty, think we all finished. I would say the only thing after 3 of us were finished, my youngest hadn’t quite finished and the girl came to take our plates before he finished, not a major issue at all but he then felt he had to finish so his plate was taken. Our bill was brought over straight away and we paid at the bar as requested. The whole process was smooth and the restaurant was busy. It’s my youngest sons favourite place to eat so we will defo be back! Merry Christmas to you all!

Friendly staff and above average food for this type of establishment. A little pricey for a 3 person meal so be sure to look out for the vouchers they regularly send out.

A great time had by our group at the quiz night. Our waitress, Ellie, was fantastic - excellent service, very bubbly and a superb sense of humour. We will be back for sure for another meal and visit to the pub quiz next month - we loved it!!

Food was nice enough, although we had to ask for our sides as they were not brought with the meal. I had asked for no spicy maple sauce, but for some reason I was not given either of the sauces, I asked for the missing BBQ sauce. But later I found that we had been charged an additional £2 or so each for the BBQ sauce that was meant to be part of the meal. No staff came to ask how our meal was or if everything was ok. Awkward moment at till where we felt obliged to pay about £6 in gratuity. Overall, this experience was substandard and we were overcharged, we will not be rushing back.

Excellent friendly staff and service. I had the light version of the ultimate burger which did not disappoint! Husband had fish and chips and son had lasagne. No complaints, clean plates!

The Rowan Tree is highly regarded locally which has staff able to make each guest feel special and the ability to remember their likes & dislikes from previous visits. This is professionalism at is best. Keep doing what you doing.

There was some confusion over our booking but resolved by helpful staff.Food was quite good but the Nan bread seemed to have been warmed in the microwave and was a bit leathery ! The staff serving were great with an atmosphere that is relaxing and comfortable. A bit on the expensive side now .
