Most awful experience I’ve ever had, never seen or tasted pakora so bad, chips burnt, and worst value ever, if I could leave a minus rating I guarantee I would have, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Great food and lovely staff. We loves the fact you could choose your base for pizzas, we opted for a garlic base with chicken tikka topping. We also had the haggis bites which were beautiful

I'm basing my review purely on Kebabs. As good as you can expect from a Kebab shop. It's kebab meat at the end of the day, but the sauce is good, the veg is good and the staff are very pleasant.

Absolutely the best kebab takeaway in Dumfries. Ordered one last minute tonight, late at night and it came piping hot.. delicious and great value for money.

This restaurant is part of Smiths hotel at Gretna Green. We were in the final days of our holiday in Scotland and wanted to have a special meal. We were staying at the hotel and saw this had good reviews. Well it didn’t disappoint. It was good that you could pick and mix from the a la carte menu and the bar menu. Every course was very good. Because we had courses from both menus I didn’t think it was too expensive. The service was good although it was very busy with other events going on. The staff were kept busy but were still attentive to our needs. Would recommend if you want something special or just for an evening meal.

A super bed and breakfast with a lovely vegan curry and home baked ecclefechan tart in the bar which had an open fire. Steve and Mary looked after us like a mum and a big brother. Could not do enough for us including a very welcome lift to and from hoddom Bridge as we were walking the annandale way. And a packed lunch to order. Will recommend to all, especially walkers.

We ate here and finished our meal, the waitress cleared away and we decided we'd have another round of drinks before leaving. We waited 5, 10 minutes and the waitress never came back. I went in search of someone but couldn't find our waitress. I didn't like to open the doors to the kitchen. We waited another 5 minutes and my wife said 'this is ridiculous' and went off in pursuit. She found our waitress in the bar (was she watching TV, did she fancy the barman?) and asked if we could get some service. The waitress said 'the restaurant is closed', as if we were being unreasonable in expecting to be served a round of drinks. No, the restaurant isn't closed if you've still got people sitting at a table you're serving and you haven't asked them if they want a dessert or offered them the bill but simply buggered off. So we said OK, can we just pay the bill. Which we did, and obviously didn't leave tip. We won't be going back.

Irish invasion there last Sunday with our local Scottish cousins. Everything absolutely perfect. Highly recommend the ambiance, food and the service. Amy stole my heart- some brave and inspiring lady. Best of luck for the future Amy🙏🙏

A beautiful grand building in a wonderful setting. It was very quiet but the service and food were excellent. Not cheap but definitely worth it for a special occasion.
