My sister and I ran into this pub to use the toilet, she used it first, but as I have toilet issues (IBS), i asked my sister to please hurry as I was going to soil myself. In the urgency she opened the door to the singular cubicle the pub has to offer and let me in to do my business as she fixed her tights and long embellished skirt as I finished up. Once we left we wanted a soft drink but the barman refused to serve us on account of us both being in the same cubicle at one time. I understand why he said this- drug use at the moment is absolutely rife, I work in a small town bar myself so I know. But suffering with what I do, and after being embarrassed like that in front of an intimate pub setting, plus my knowledge of bar staffs ideas being unshaken even in the face of customers reasoning, I didn’t even bother to dispute. I just left embarrassed. I do think writing this would hopefully help someone else in my situation. Nobody should soil themselves waiting for their family member to finish using the solitary toilet on offer- out of fear of not being served at the bar. Was disappointing to be honest, as the last time I was here the pub reeked of urine, but I gave it a second chance this time, and I was proved wrong as a result. I hope the bar staff see this and realise that their unwelcoming attitude should be given with factual knowledge rather than just their own notions

We were in for a Christmas afternoon tea and it seemed a surprise that we were coming to the server. The server himself looked a little worse for wear and made little attempt to hide he had no idea what was going on, open squabbles between staff is not a festive experience! The afternoon tea itself was mediocre and had clearly been sitting a while. No tea/drinks were offered and when I asked for them they eventually turned up twice! No milk or sugar, until I chased up … again! No one seemed to be responsible for each table so service was poor, consisting of me and other people at other tables all jumping up and down for service. The manager was hiding and did not approach us when we refused to pay service charge and told the server directly it had been poor experience. He should want to know what went wrong?? I actually decided against making a bigger deal out of it as I wanted to just leave and go elsewhere. The Corinthian is lovely looking but the actual food, drinks and service are awful. You’d be better going to a local garden centre for a nice afternoon tea. At £35 a head it was daylight robbery. Sadly I won’t be back and I wished I’d listened to others negative feedback about going there

5* wedding venue. We held our wedding here on 15th November 2024 and were able to book at short notice due to family illness. From the moment we enquired Tabetha, the wedding events manager could not have done more for us. She helped us create a perfect day despite experiencing some difficulties in our reasoning for moving our wedding forward. The space we had exclusive access to in Charlie Parker’s and Private Parker’s was perfect for a wedding and gave us and our guests so much room to mingle and relax. Tabbi is the absolute best at what she does and felt more like family come the actual wedding day. She took all of the stress out of some of the mundane parts of planning and the package we got for our guests is well worth the money. Our guests still tell us what an amazing day and night they had and that’s all thanks to Tabbi, her team and the gorgeous venue the Corinthian is. The food was outstanding from canapés to our meal and everyone was well fed and watered with plenty of drinks the whole night. Tabbi thought of extra touches we could add including a Mr and Mrs cocktail which our guests loved and made the whole process of booking, paying and organising everything down from stationary, seating plans to our DJ absolutely seamless. We felt like royalty our whole day and cannot thank the whole team at The Corinthian enough for making our wedding a day we will cherish forever.

Very nice and atmospheric place. It was great that even during rush hour there was a free table for two people with a dog. The waiter was very helpful and professional. He explained what was necessary, helped a lot. Even brought a bowl of water for the dog. The food was excellent. Delicious and hearty. I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece. But no complaints at all. Really liked the place, will come back again sometime. Dog friendly.

While on a business trip to England, I happened to go there and had the most delicious steak. steak ciabatta sandwich. If I had stayed longer in Scotland, I would have tried other foods, but I couldn't try any more due to my London itinerary. I don't think I'll ever come back again, but it was a truly memorable meal. The best steak and potato chips I've ever had That's the chef. How on earth did you fry those potatoes!!???

We only had cappuccinos, which were fine. The place wasn't full. The service is friendly but very, very slow. Quite strong disturbing odours of burning oil filled the place. Loud kind of pop/rock music played. It wasn't a relaxed and good experience at all. I would not recommend the Rendez Vous Cafe.

If I could could give 0 starts I really would, 0 people’s ethic, rude and unprofessional, only had one person who was a chef there that carried the whole place and now he’s gone the place is a disaster, wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all, even my enemies! Treat their staff with upmost disrespect and their customers too. Dirty and unprofessional!
