Had brunch there of gammon 2 fried eggs chips and peas. It took about 30 ninutes to cone. Place was packed. Lots of pensioners in there. Aberdeen were playing Celtic so all tvs were on as well as the sound. I sat by the big double doors and everytime someone came in or out I was hit by a blast of cold air so I kept my jacket on The building is victorian and un insulated. Despite it being full I still felt cold. Good size portion. Nice fluffy chips big piece of gammon. The peas were stone cold. Not heated in microwave long enough.£9.99.Good selection of ales and beers

So many people in Culter rave this is brilliant food. Well I'm afraid to say we were all disappointed. Never in my life have I left a restaurant still hungry. We all ordered different things and opted for chips for all the adults. We were shocked when we got one plate of chips for four hungry adults. I'm not sure if waitress was new or it was a mistake but for the cost I would say never again.

Go to this bar! The Bank Bar, heard from a friend about this little gem, excellent choice of beers on tap and shots behind the bar . Great interior which only seems to add to the ambience. The service was a top notch. The staff are always friendly and they love to get involved in any banter. This welcoming atmosphere from staff and locals makes you want to go back. I played darts with friends and entered a pool competition there but lost in the second round! Would highly recommend this bar to anyone who likes some tasty beers and great laughs!

I frequently visit the Old Bank Bar and have done for years. I am always made to feel welcome. It's a friendly local pub with a decent atmosphere and rarely is there any trouble. It doesn't advertise itself as a fancy restaurant or anything that it's not but the food that I've been served has always been tasty enough and good value for money... And this is coming from a chef! It's a local pub and like ALL local pubs it has its regulars. This is one of the reasons that there is rarely any trouble as the staff know the majority of their customers on first name terms and anyone that wishes to cause trouble is usually asked to leave or if they're threatening to the staff, the locals will back up the staff. The last time I witnessed any trouble, a (now former) regular was deliberately antagonising some of the other locals. He was in a terrible state and had clearly taken substances other than the 2 pints he had consumed. He was in such a state that he spat in the face of another local! Absolutely disgusting! Needless to say, he was swiftly removed from the premises and banned. Clearly the 3 recent negative reviews are from this disgusting cretin that spits in people's faces friends or family as they've all been made within days of the incident happening. One of the reviewers even has the person's surname in their TripAdviser name!!!! Not very bright and not very sly! Oh, and learn to spell properly and use correct grammar you narrow minded imbecile. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

As someone who is new to living in Culter I was very happy to go to my new local pub for a few pints. I was even more pleased to be welcomed to the Old bank bar with open arms not only by the friendly staff but welcomed by the locals. Fantastic music choices on the duke box and friendly Banter.

I visited these premises for a quite drink & a snack. I found the staff unfreindly & rude. I felt like i was an inconvience to them. I found the local clientel unfreindly also and was constantly stared at by a portly gentleman at the end of the bar & another gentleman who look unkempt. I felt it had a very hostile atmosphere. The food was terrible and everything tasted of fish. I will not recommend this bar to anyone i know. And would advise people to stay away.

McNasty’s?? Should be called McNicey’s!! First time here, first impressions excellent. Clean looking from outside, food reasonably priced and inviting. Bar staff are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Instantly greeted by Laura at the bar with a very friendly hello love, how are you? and took my drinks order. I was instantly blown away by the service…not what I am used to at all. Even brought my drink to the table and suggested the best place to sit. Amazing atmosphere. As I am writing this, there is a male vocalist singing, what a voice! Bought him a pint and requested a Johnny Cash song, which he sang straightaway. Karaoke later (the reason I came here) and I have high expectations now. I am sure it will be a brilliant night. Aberdeen always is. I will certainly consider this my favourite pub so far. Yet to try the food here…that will be tomorrow! 😀😂 And yes…back for karaoke again! Just hope my voice holds up…..

Came as part of the Aberdeen Restaurant Week though we have been a few times before. Food was good-ample portions though it was for the special deal. Staff though mostly young were very professional and attentive. Only thing is menu never seems to have changed in all the years we have been going-could be doing with a revamp. Really nice hotel.
