We call in regularly for a good, well-packed, well-priced sandwich; not a vast fancy choice, but fresh and tasty. Fish and Chips on a Thursday evening is also pretty decent! Service can vary depending who is working, from very friendly and helpful to downright indifferent.

We popped in here for a quick lunch, prices were quite reasonably priced compared to everywhere else we had passed and plenty of parking but we did have to wait a while as there was only one person was serving and there was a large que. The food was nice enough but nothing amazing.

This is a basic cafe mostly serving takeaway drinks and sandwiches. This is not posh but standard decent fare... and no problem with that. Coffee was a dispensing machine and fine. But service was not very welcoming

Arrived early on Holliday and could not get into our accommodation and was a little hungry. Called and had a sausage and blackpuddind roll and a cheese salad for my wife. With a bottle of pop if was under £5.00 excellent food and wonderful value.

Seemed like different owners again this time. Was a great little place to get a good value bite to eat but seemed somewhat expensive for reheated food. The lad who was running the shop that day was quite curt and rude also, quality also gone down hill, would be reluctant to go back as it currently stands.

Turned up before they were open but was delighted to receive an awesome bacon roll and cup of tea which fuelled me through a morning's cycling.

This is a good honest cafe. Really liked it when Gavin owned it but the owner afterwards seemed very nice too. Do nice sandwiches and love the breakfast barms, the Lorne sausage is my favourite! Good for an on the go lunch, there is no seating inside from memory or very little but plenty of places to stop and eat near the harbour.

On a recent visit to Port William this place always seemed popular with local workers popping in for a sandwich/brekkie during the mornings. We only visited on Friday evening for the weekly fish and chips night, which was something like 5-7pm. If you're planning that get there early. We got there at 6.15 and they only had 1 fish left.

This is a very friendly shop who do take-aways. The nice lady will put up a salad in a box with whatever ingredients you want, the name of the place says it all!

Nice sandwiches but not much choice. Owners seemed a bit rude when we popped in to grab some lunch. Shame I had high hopes after reading other reviews.

Good little takeaway shop selling sandwiches, pies, salad boxes and cake. Our party enjoyed the sandwich's and salad boxes. Would benefit from labelling the options to have in sandwiches and salads to make it quicker and easier for customers to decide.

Tasty bites is a sandwich shop but they do fish and chips on a Friday and Saturday. We had fish and chips on the Saturday we arrived in Port William and they were amazing! They tasted fresh, hot and yummy. My children also had a burger and a battered sausage which were enjoyed too. We also had sandwiches for lunch one day and they were lovely too. Would recommend.

Tasty Bites offers a great range of fresh food and snacks for a snack bar in a small fishing village. Staff are friendly and accommodating always ensuring food is made as ordered. Predominately catering for take away service there is limited seating but you can sit in for your soup, sandwich and delicious coffee if that is your preference. Otherwise, walk across the village square and sit by the sea with splendid views to accompany your morning coffee and great value bacon roll!

A couple of tables mean a limited chance to eat inside, but at £3.50 for a very nice Americano and indeed a tasty bacon butty, it was worth a detour to revisit the 3 days we were near.

We were looking for lunch in Port William (and not doing very well) when we came across Tasty Bites. We were given a very warm welcome by the staff and made our choices from a wide range of takeaway items. The Coronation Chicken was magnificent and the Tuna Melts were very tasty although, strangely, the cheese was not melted! The day's soup - Broccoli and Stilton - went down very well. Many thanks to Tasty Bites for being a bright spot in a rather miserable little town.

We ate here and finished our meal, the waitress cleared away and we decided we'd have another round of drinks before leaving. We waited 5, 10 minutes and the waitress never came back. I went in search of someone but couldn't find our waitress. I didn't like to open the doors to the kitchen. We waited another 5 minutes and my wife said 'this is ridiculous' and went off in pursuit. She found our waitress in the bar (was she watching TV, did she fancy the barman?) and asked if we could get some service. The waitress said 'the restaurant is closed', as if we were being unreasonable in expecting to be served a round of drinks. No, the restaurant isn't closed if you've still got people sitting at a table you're serving and you haven't asked them if they want a dessert or offered them the bill but simply buggered off. So we said OK, can we just pay the bill. Which we did, and obviously didn't leave tip. We won't be going back.

A super bed and breakfast with a lovely vegan curry and home baked ecclefechan tart in the bar which had an open fire. Steve and Mary looked after us like a mum and a big brother. Could not do enough for us including a very welcome lift to and from hoddom Bridge as we were walking the annandale way. And a packed lunch to order. Will recommend to all, especially walkers.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Kirkcudbright. Although there was space in the car park, we left the car parked on the road, as it was fairly quiet. Check in was quick and efficient. The receptionist was welcoming and showed us to our room. This was a garden room. Lovely and comfortable room, proper radiators rather than heaters which was welcome. The food, not particularly expensive for these days, was high quality, great portion sizes and absolutely delicious! Probably the best fish & chips we’ve ever had and definitely the best onion rings. We were pretty to central to Kirkcudbright so could walk rather than get in the car. The Stewartry Museum is well worth a visit as is Kirkcudbright. Very pretty coloured houses.

Stayed at the Annandale arms as a stop over for a family wedding. Rooms are very clean and beds extremely comfortable! Breakfast was also really nice. Would recommend and would stay again! Thanks :)
