Amazing transformation into deli with small general store. The sandwiches and cakes are delicious and you can eat inside or outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is highly recommended deli to visit and try some cakes.

I went to the Cawdor Village Store today as I had taken a fall earlier in the day and just needed to pick up a few essential items. What a wonderful stocked shop I was able to get everything I needed and what lovely people I hurt my hand/wrist in the fall and they very kindly carried my shopping out to my car. Now that's above and beyond - thank you and see you soon.

In any small village the community depend on such as this store. Notice boatd info about all that is going on and diversity in terms of provision. It has a few tables inside and for good weather a patio to enjoy a coffee with cake or hot pie or sandwich. Handy for the wee items that don't need a trip to a big store. Open 7 days a week. Recognised stop over the motor cycle routes etc. Well done and thank you for a grand wee store/cafe

The couple were friendly. Sitting area inside & outside (under cover), hot pies & refreshments. It is like a dark wooden shack, amongst the trees.

Although the shop is nice, the shopkeeper is rude, arrogant, unfriendly and gives the whole place a nasty feel. Real shame!

After visiting Inverness and a quick look at the Cawdor Castle we looked for a place for a short break. This one here looked very welcoming with a lovely patio. It's more of a shop than a restaurant. But there are a good number of fresh sandwiches available and some pies and a good selection of drinks. We chose a beef pie and a spicy chicken sandwich (Piri Piri) and two sodas. Staff was very friendly and good for a quick chat. The patio is nicely done and offers some countryside views. Prices here are very low. We just paid a few pounds for all of it. Pie was good (enjoy it cold or warm - as you order) and the sandwich tasted very fresh. It was a nice little shop here. Too bad it - at least when we visited - looked a bit quiet. Not many customers or guests around. Really a shame, because it's the kind of local shop / restaurant that you wanna visit when on vacation ... or even as a local. Quaint little shop selling most essentials. Got some lovely sausages and burgers for our Bar-B-Q. Also have a cafe with outdoor seating on a nice bit of decking.

My wife and I were spending a few days in the Nairn area and decided to visit Cawdor Castle. En route, we stopped in Cawdor Village and popped into the Village Stores, hoping to buy some sandwiches. What an absolute delight! We got a nice cheery hello as we entered and although the store is fairly small, it was very well stocked with all manner of provisions and giftware. There was an excellent selection of pre-packed sandwiches with great fillings( try the turkey and cranberry!) all very reasonably priced and delicious. Tea and coffee was from a top quality branded vending machine and also reasonably priced unlike so many other places these days. Rather than have lunch in the car, as it was a warm day, we dined al fresco in the autumn sunshine on the decked area to the front of the store with an orchestra of bird song! You can park almost at the door and access to the store is level. Try it for lunch or a snack next time you are in the Cawdor area and I am sure you'll be back. I know we certainly will!
