Great tasty food, large portions and well presented. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Good, varied menu and reasonably priced. Couldnt finish my meal, was too full up and our waitress, kayleigh kindly boxed up the rest to take home. Theres a beer garden outside and dogs are welcome.

Nice place, our waitress was lovely very attentive, service was great , food was very well presented and tasted great. Would have liked to stay for pudding and coffee but the table of 6 next to us were very loud we could not here each others conversation. Shame that let the experience down.

We live locally, and had not been to the "Abbey Inn" for some time. I am not sure if it has changed hands recently, but the food that we had was excellent, and the menu extensive, for a pub. The service was friendly, and the chef must be commended. I would be surprised to see any negative reviews, ongoing. Will definitely return.

Been a couple of times now and the food is always excellent and really good value for money. The briee starter was awesome and the Sunday dinners are amazing, the meat falls apart as you cut into it, a definite place to visit.

Did not enjoy our experience at all. Stuffed garlic mushrooms turned into deep fried freezer burnt mushrooms pretty much inedible. Sunday Roast was like a school dinner with over cooked beef, hard potatoes and undercooked vegetables. When I spoke to server that I could not ear it, she spoke to chef and he advised that because nobody else has complained she could not take off bill. Asked to speak to chef given I am a chef myself however this was declined and eventually roast was deducted. Great pub.. Lovely atmosphere and staff.. Will be back, however will pass on the food!!

I ordered oven baked salmon. Waited an hour. When it came it was microwaved salmon, and frozen solid in the middle! My husband had chicken balmoral which was also microwaved. Half of it was inedible. When I went to pay the salmon was on the bill. Oh said the waitress do you want that taken off???

Today I used my Brodie gift voucher for Afternoon Tea. My husband and I enjoyed the tastiest freshly made sandwiches, quiche, sausage roll and a variety of sweet treats. Although busy the staff were pleasant and helpful.

As someone one else has pointed out, it’s now called the Spey Inn. Was there earlier this week for lunch as in area and parents recommended it from a visit a year or so ago. It was quiet but we got a friendly welcome from the two members of staff. My parents commented on the size of the menu which has apparently changed and did seemed limited in choices. 3 of us ordered the Cullen Skink soup. It tasted fine but not much fish ands lots of potatoes. Three of us then had sandwiches, the Club sandwich was very good, well filled with bacon, tomato etc and was tasty. Me and my mum both had the egg mayonnaise sandwich. It looked different in that it was 2 whole slices of toast which I thought may have been included in the description. That said I can live with this, however what was very unusual and disappointing was the quantity of filling in these two sandwiches. It appeared that there was a smear of egg mayo as in the quantity of butter you would spread on a slice of bread (and in this case it was spread onto 2 slices of thick toast). Without exaggerating it appeared that 1 egg had been used to fill 2 sandwiches . The salad that accompanied it was nice and the fish and chips the other member of our group had was apparently good. We did mention it to the server who said he’d mention our views to the chef, but it just seemed odd. We also mentioned to a member of staff at an early stage of our visit, that there was no soap in the gents toilets (you could clearly see the soap dispenser was empty when you walked in), however when leaving some time later this had not been rectified, despite the fact the restaurant was not busy. It wasn’t a cheap lunch and it was fairly disappointing overall. Unless this was a one off, don’t think I would return.

Popular coffee place offering good choices of teas / coffee / other drinks with cakes / pastries / sandwiches. Although generally busy there is plenty of seating for individuals, families or groups. Free wifi offers the chance to catch up with your social media and / or even work related. Handy location on the main street - a good place to stop by and simply take a few minutes to slow down. Sit in or takeaway available. Dog friendly!
