Excellent place to take young children. Plenty for them to enjoy in the play area . Lots of outdoor seating. Excellent lunch or snacks and we have had both

Carrot cake nothing like what it use to be, tastes like a betty crocket packet cake mix, famous fudge doughnuts taste bland and are very very expensive, feels like profit is getting put before quality, but i suppose directors need there bonuses, but on a lighter note the staff in the shop were brilliant. Pity about the cakes, sorry.

Thoroughly enjoyed home made soup and a delicious panini for my lunch followed by tea and biscuits. Didn't want big breakfast my hotel offered and the tea rooms bacon roll and excellent cuppa got my day of to a good start - 3 times. Found the staff very friendly. Sorry for other traveller who felt ignored must have been a one off.

Ok, this place and every other Wetherspoons does appalling white wine by the glass, particularly if you only want a couple. The Barossa Ink red however is excellent! My review however is about the marvelous ramen… who would have thought you would get a gorgeous bowl of beautiful broth in Wetherspoons???It is a fine example of deep tasty comforting soup, slightly spicy and properly steaming hot and filled with tasty veg and noodles. A big well done for introducing this it is fabulous! I will be back at least once a week…., (please change your indigestion, heartburn wine it’s rubbish)

We were on a Highlands day tour and stopped for break. My wife and I had fresh baked scones and tea and it was lovely. The owners were welcoming, the place was comfortable, the scones delicious and the tea was proper hot. There's a back patio and the weather was nice so we sat outside to enjoy. Recommended!

Lovely conservatory with nice atmosphere. Main course Thai Chicken stir fry - rice was quite stodgy and chicken was mediocre. Lemon Meringue pie was as flat as a pancake and the clotted cream was far too heavy. Dessert was very expensive.

Visited Lanark this summer, and wanted a dog friendly pub for a quick drink. To say this place is dog friendly is a huge understatement - the staff made me and my spaniel puppy feel really welcome - they offered to cook some chicken goujons for him, which he loved. We returned for lunch the following day. I had an amazing burger and again puppy got some beef for his lunch and also given a takeaway box for him for later. Thank you for being so friendly.

We enjoyed two excellent dinners at the Terrace Restaurant. A special mention for our young server Harry who provided excellent and friendly service he was open he was a recent start but his desire to be the best he could be shone through and he had a very positive personality which made the whole experience very enjoyable. Management take note he is a keeper!

Very disappointed as have been before and enjoyed a lovely meal when I went with friends. It would appear the menu has since changed, as has the service. Absolutely abysmal unfortunately. The food was inedible and the service extremely poor. It's a pity as the location is great and if you sit outside someone has made an effort with the lovely plants outside. Will not be back.

This is becoming very much a favourite for us. We have started phoning the day before to reserve produce to collect the next day. We have a quick once round the shop to see if there is any new products to add to our order consisting of 1/2 lb steak pies for my father in law who just loves them, 1 lb steak pies for ourself along with apple crumbles, scones, short bread to a total of £78, worth every penny. Then we go into the restaurant for lunch. Both of us are soup lovers so we settled for potato and leek to start, then my wife ordered a g f ham and cheese toastie, I opted for a cheese and onion toastie with coleslaw on the side. To wash it down the wife had a cappucino, I settled for a diet irn bru. We were both well satisfied set up for the rest of the day. A worthwhile trip. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.

This is a place to avoid at all costs! We questioned the bill as we felt we'd been overcharged and instead of getting a polite explanation, we basically got a load of abuse from the manager!!! And if you're looking for good coffee, seriously don't bother going here.

No food on offer other than crisps, ice cream and a meagre offering of cake, shocked as we were there for a 1pm show and had travelled over an hour thinking we would be fine for lunch at the theatre. Staff were fine, no hint of getting things done in a timely fashion and not much interaction with customers. Decor is depressing, such a big space makes it cold and echoey. Just no atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed and won't be back.
