Tesco Cafe in Argyll & Bute

I use this cafe in tesco everytime I visit Oban. They do a great breakfast and good coffee. What makes this a good place is the staff, alwsys friendly and quick to serve even when busy.

Called for breakfast well what a disaster. They lady serving, no not serving because this would need a level of service while we got the distinct impression of being an inconvenience. We ordered two breakfasts one being vegetarian, but they don't have any vegetarian sausages, pardon it's a supermarket and a big one, they do have veggi sausage just not in the right place, so let's be customer focused and send someone for them a manager can sort the budget later. But no. So we asked for mushrooms as a replacement but this was a problem too and couldn't be supplied as needed to be put through separately so we said OK to which she repeated this twice more, they were not on the plate. Its just not enough. Customer care and a smile and some training will improve this cafe a lot its sadly lacking right now.

Great service, disgusting prices. £1.95 a can of juice is absolutely ridiculous, considering your in a Tesco. Franchises damaging the Tesco name with such greed.

We dropped in here for bite to eat and were so disappointed, coffee served immediately in very wide cup so had to drink it fast before it was freezing. Finished drinks before lunch came. I ordered a baked potato which was tiny, extremely dry, came with no butter and very little filling.. needless to say I didn’t finish it as had half a dry potato and no filling left. My daughter got chicken and chips which was way overpriced and chips came with some sort coating over them which was not stated in menu… waste of money and would never visit tesco cafe again

I had more than four years going regularly to the café, receiving excellent service when having breakfast or simply tea or coffee before or after my shopping. But the last time was definitely the last. A member of the staff decided to display her hostility by different means, including no letting me to use my laptop. This was an exceptional circumstance in which I needed to use it for one or two minutes to sort an urgent task while my internet service was interrupted while moving house. I needed to leave the café and leave my coffee untouched on the table.

Was sitting enjoying a pot of tea which we where all drinking as it’s a cafe. got approach by a short woman that rudely said to us “this is not a Community centre, you are taking up tables” we where using only one table for the 6 of us hadn’t even finished the tea and had to leave, absolutely outrageous, made us feel embarrassed and unwelcome. The small women with brown hair should learn some customer service. “Yous can stay if yous buy something “ as we had a pot in tea infront of us and the table next to us was only drinking tea too, shocking.

Lucky to get 1 star…. Got treated like a crook because I took my own green teabag and asked for a pot of hot water which I was happy to pay for… All day breakfast was bland , a bit like the staff… NB11

Food good. Service good. Welcome from Maureen excellent. Staff where a bit overworked on my visit, but despite that I was made welcome. Advised of the new freshly prepared food changes and the wait could be 15 or 20 minutes. Breakfast was very good, well cooked, worth the wait, considering the price. This cafe was the only open in Oban for a time in September due to COVID closures.

I visit the cafe a lot since .I began my job at the great western in Oban.so after a shift I like to pop in have a toastie .my chips and a drink .and relax .I know that hospitality has been affected over last year and up to now the staff at the café in Tesco's have had to deal with the public and serve us the best they can yesterday I popped in for a snack and drink . due to staff shortish it was limited food and drinks .so I decided to cancel and went home .but today I called in did my track and trace .had the toastie .chips and a latte .so it was nice to sit enjoy it and see those who were on the service floor do what they are good for to serve .and make sure shoppers have a good sit down . And chill out . everyone should realise it's been hard for us in hospitality and to be patient with them and other workers .so well done to that team .it won't stop me popping in as often as I can .

Ate here as a family, had breakfast, a big order. Avoid, the person taking meal orders and giving out food with dyed hair was rude and clearly not keen to do any extra work. Food very poor and basic. Poor welcome and disorganised.

Excellent service and all Covid protocols followed. Helpful and friendly staff.

Having left our car in a local garage we wanted a drink and something for breakfast, Tesco was just round the corner so I ordered a breakfast bap without any great expectations , what a lovely surprise , beautifully cooked sausage bacon ,hash brown and egg( still runny yolk) in a fresh bap and really chocolaty hot chocolate at an - excellent price - The service was quick and the staff very friendly - well done Tesco you get full marks from me

i went to lidl to get a pizza then i went to the Tesco cafe and i got a glizzy but inside the glizzy there was a rat i was going to eat it but i needed mayonnaise so i asked and what i got did not taste like mayonnaise it tasted salty and a bit like milk but i was hungry so i ate it.

Our All Day Breakfast was awful. Lukewarm at best, Rock hard egg and fried bread., and bacon curled up and cold. We drove up from Campbeltown to do a big shop as we do periodically but will NEVER eat here again.

Quiero hacer una mención al caballero mayor que estaba desinfectando las mesas y taponando las mesas cuando yo estuve el 8 de septiembre antes de comenzar, ¡ya que fue muy educado! Y parecía que estaba trabajando duro. Por otro lado, el personal de cocina claramente no estaba capacitado sobre cómo cocinar verduras. Pedí crear tu propio desayuno y elegí principalmente productos de verduras y patatas. Los champiñones estaban crudos pero se habían calentado. El tomate estaba frío y la tostada fría y sin mantequilla. La dama rubia por su cuenta, corriendo era muy exigente con el resto del personal y quería que el cliente fuera atendido lo más rápido posible. Esto se mostró en cómo inclinó la comida en los platos. Y no fue muy amigable.

Not very organised. Lorne sausage rock hard. No sauces offered,had to ask when meal was brought. Queueing didn,t seem to work . Yesterday was excellent with a very organised young man presiding and a more edible breakfast.

25 minutos para que nos tomaran el pedido, la comida tardó en salir, pero no me sorprendió que hubiera un tipo deambulando detrás del mostrador mientras una chica intentaba hacer todo. Ella en un momento le pidió que pusiera mi pastel de té en el horno para tostarlo, él dijo que lo haría y luego se alejó, así que ella tuvo que hacerlo ella misma (así como todo lo demás).La comida no era la mejor, barata y alegre, pero realmente no puedo esperar más de un café tescos.

Lovely staff, always pleasant and cheery even under pressure. Love the tasty breakfasts and cakes.

tesco cafe is ideal for a quick pick me up with very nice cakes and great coffee and very attentive staff well done you dont always get that.

De compras, decidimos almorzar en el área de comida caliente que nadie servía. Avanzé hacia adelante hasta que se me dijo que tenía que ir al área que habíamos esperado. Le dijimos esto a la mujer que no había nadie allí. Luego nos dijeron que nos moviéramos como otros esperando. amigo fue al servicio al cliente. Entonces un joven vino de la cocina tomó mi pedido. Un amigo que tiene problemas con la dieta solo tomaba café porque no tenía productos sin gluten. El restaurante era caos mesas sucias. La única persona que se disculpó fue el joven. Había una serie de clientes descontentos. No usaré esto otra vez. La mujer de till necesita formación en atención al cliente.

This was probably the worst eggs Benedict I have ever tasted. Hollandaise just tasted of lemon juice. Far too much black pepper on the top. Just didn’t cut the muster I’m afraid. Rest of the family said their breakfasts weren’t great either ....

Decided to try Tesco for breakfast the other day as I was waiting for a ferry, what a mistake! Went for the breakfast bloomer with sausage, sounds good doesn't? Nice crusty bloomer bread with tasty sausages? No such luck. 2 lukewarm, pretty tasteless sausages between 2 slices of thin white bread, 'orrible. Partners full breakfast was an assortment of dried up items with a dollop of beans on top. Never again. How can food retailer get things so badly wrong? I I could give a zero I'd do so.

Por primera vez, después de salir de casa temprano para hacer las compras semanales, decidí tomar algo para desayunar para mi hijo y para mí en la cafetería de Tesco. Los pisos, mesas y sillas están sucios. Sin incluir la descarga de detritus en todas partes, solo hay una abrumadora sensación de suciedad. Las chapas de la mesa están pelando y desconchadas. Asientos rotos y manchados, paredes marcadas y todas las superficies sucias. Me recordó la clase de aspereza con la que tuvimos que vivir en los años 70. Mi hijo optó por el 4. 50 set de desayuno y yo, tostadas y huevo escalfado. Se podría decir que era todo lo más barato de Tesco de los productos baratos. Los huevos escalfados no habían visto el interior de un huevo durante algún tiempo y parecían tener la forma de un paquete de ketchup / mantequilla. Era una basura sin sabor. El tipo de alimento que debe ser prohibido para la salud de las personas. Sólo una quagulación de grasas y carbohidratos sin sabor. Nunca más. No habría valido la pena 1. En realidad me siento enfermo por toda la experiencia. Honestamente puedo decir que fue lo peor que he experimentado desde la década de 1970.

Apareció en Tesco para ir de compras y notó el café.Almorzamos aquí, muy amable y educado personal.Como estamos siendo cuidadosos con lo que estamos comiendo, fue agradable ver que algunos de los platos tenían la cantidad de calorías en ellos.Optamos por la tostada de aguacate y estaba delicioso.La cafetería estaba ocupada y volveremos. . . . . . buena comida, buen precio.

Having had a few nights on Mull, we arrived back in Oban. Once we had filled the car at the petrol station, we went in for breakfast. The cafe staff were very friendly and the breakfast was piping hot. Well recommended.

Este Tesco Caf es engañoso. Mi recibo del almuerzo por una chaqueta de papa con excepcionalmente buen atún y ensalada, además de pescado y patatas fritas para mi esposa, y refrescos llegaron a solo 14. 75. El recibo muestra que el Caf está dirigido por "Sheilings Caf". Los tres miembros del personal de turno parecen conocerse mutuamente. ¡De hecho, el cajero dijo que estaban relacionados! La comida trajo a nuestra mesa y el servicio fue amable y rápido. Estaba limpio y con poca gente en un momento en que los turistas mojados buscaban un respiro del clima con un descanso para almorzar. ¿Que es no gustar?Sí, es un café de supermercado, pero mucho mejor de lo que cabría esperar. Ve allí y mira!
