Been here many times before, will go many times again, great food, both had a steak, asked for medium well, was cooked perfect, even had a starter, and desert, was lovely, service couldn't have been better and it was quite busy but well staffed. Breakfast was very nice too, no doubt be back later in the year.

Service first class. Food delicious especially the starter of Korean Brie.

Lovely treat for my husband's birthday and our first Christmas together as many and wife. Beautiful service and food and relaxed, comfortable environment.

Always love the lodge in loch lomond and the restaurant has really stepped up in their menu. Great choice and some tasty options included in the DBB. Previously we felt the food was average at best, however after our recent visit in Dec 2024, we were both really impressed.

We took advantage of the high tea offer and thoroughly enjoyed it. A lovely relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and the staff we very helpful and friendly.

We went for Afternoon Tea and it did not disappoint. The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing too, so delicious.....definitely be back

The 3rd time I’ve been I will not be back until they change the menu. It’s awful a complete lack of ideas. What made it worse was the menu itself. Definitely done on the cheap. Living on their old reputation.

Overall experience was below expectations. The restaurant reminded me of my school dinner hall. Service was ok but generic, no smiles and didnt really make the effort to make you feel welcome. Regarding the food, barely passable. Chips were extremely oversalted to the point of the salt clumping together. Pasta ordered was floating in oil. Duck together with dauphinoise and veg were actually good. Breakfast was very under par as well, scrambled egg extremely overcooked, dry mushroom, barely warm microwave beans. Would not recommend.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with at tentative staff on hand, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and hot when served. Great menu choices.

The restaurant is lovely and peaceful with views across the loch that's spectacular. We were allowed to take our Labrador Cooper in who behaved and we were met by members if staff who were so nice and nothing was too much bother for them. Lovely people who work there it's nice to see. The food we had was well presented and was so tasty, the chef even gave us a sausage to take away for Cooper which he loved. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and our stay and we will definitely return in the future all going well.

The restaurant staff were absolutely fantastic. The young girl (sorry I didn't get her name) but she was there the following morning as well, was a credit to your business. Nothing was a bother for her, she was friendly and made sure we were OK. The food was absolutely delicious especially the carrot and chickpea soup. I was especially impressed that my gluten free toast was made in a different location to normal toast. I will be coming back very soon

The restaurant was a bit chilli,with only small plug in heaters, My main concern ,however,after scanning your evening meal menu,on my second night I opted for the Cesar Chicken,when I received my meal ,you cannot comprehend my horror when after a full search of my crockery I could not find,because it was not there,MY EGG, neither poached nor boiled. I related this through my waterfall of tears to your staff,she was also horrified to hear NO EGG. I hope you instigate a full enquiry to the whereabouts of my EGG. I Look forward to your findings Imagine if this happened to someone at EASTER,my my All the best,seasons greetings, Mr & Mrs A Todd room 32,December 9th/10th Ps I boiled and poached eggs the very moment I got home to Dundee,not the same.

The food was not what we would have expected at such a lovely restaurant and hotel. We got engaged here a few years ago and came back for our wedding anniversary but were quite disappointed with the dinner and breakfast. In particular my wife’s vegan sausages were burnt inedible, as was the potato scones for both breakfasts. The food took a very long time to be brought to us. No one came to our table to ask how our breakfast was.

We Dined as part of the DBB deal. The Starter of mackerel pate was nice however the main course of fillet steak with fries chips arrived and wasn’t nice at all. I asked for it cooked medium to well and it was like chewing an old boot. I wasn’t even sure if it was the right cut of meat. The chips were also a bit soft not crispy like you’d expect fries to be. We told the waitress who apologised and offered a couple of free cocktails as recompense. We said that would not be acceptable - there was a £20 supplement to pay above the DBB deal for steak. She said she’d have to talk to her manager. After this we were ignored for the next half an hour, didn’t even get my partners plate removed. Finally when the waitress came and took our dessert order we reminded her of the complaint at which point the manager eventually came over. We got No apology or any offer of recompense however i suggested they remove the supplement for the steak off the total bill otherwise we would have been charged £20 (the fillet steak cost over £40. I would never normally complain unless something was such a bad experience and in this instance I’m afraid it really was. It’s a lovely setting by the loch and I’d recommend it for evening drinks and breakfast but go somewhere else for dinner.

Food and service was fantastic!

Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the loch views from the dining room were amazing. Our room was very clean and surprisingly large with 2 comfy chairs for us to enjoy the beautiful loch views.

The meal for 2 itself was very good - ample portion sizes, warm and fresh made. Drinks were good too. One gripe though was that we weren't told at check-in we had 2 vouchers for 2 free drinks nor were we asked at dinner. The vouchers themselves were pretty small and tucked in to the cardboard wallet the key card was in. I put the key card in my own pocket sized wallet so didn't notice them til the next morning. I paid for a large wine - not cheap at £11.75 - when I could have had 2x 175ml glasses for free. When I mentioned this at check out I was offered a takeaway tea or coffee but we had just had breakfast so not much use. A minor point in the grand scheme of things but annoying nonetheless.

Been a few times over the years and always exceptional. Lovely atmosphere and food was plentiful, could hardly move after 😆

The staff were lovely and the food was spot on apart from the desert, the cookie sundae wasn't the best.

Excellent restaurant plenty of choices and a lovely ambience in which to dine. The servers are very friendly and helpful and quick to attend to every dining need. Special mention to all of the ladies who served me and ensured my dining experiences were superb every time.

The food was unremarkable. I had soup in a mug and 3 very small sandwiches plus french fries which at £14.50 I didn’t think was great value. The americano coffee was very bitter. The house wine was fine and the staff were very attentive, and friendly and we appreciated them allowing us to occupy the table for a while after we finished our meal.

We booked a breakfast tea/brunch deal. The food was excellent and the waitress was friendly & efficient. Highly recommend, we will be returning.

honestly the best part of this place is the view (which you're definitely paying for within the food prices!) 🥗 the caesar salad 🥗 if I were to order this again, I would definitely order the sauce on the side because they really drowned the salad in the dressing. it was too much to the point where I could not finish my meal as the sauce completely overwhelmed all the other components. from what I could tell though, the ingredients were fresh and of good quality— just wish I could've enjoyed them more!

This was the second visit for breakfast and yet again didn’t disappoint, the food was amazing. Our reason for 4 stars for service is, it was quite hard to get staff attention for refills to our tea and coffee.

Reasonable food, could have been warmer on the day but no particular issues. Not many nachos with the dip so we had to ask for more. Non alcoholic drinks options available. Doesn’t take American Express. Has baby changing. Plenty of other options available in the area. Great views of Loch Lomond!!

We stayed for dinner bed and breakfast and on both occasions the food was of a good quality but could have been warmer particularly at breakfast. This might have something to do with the plates not being warmed properly. At dinner (my husband had a steak) which made it more obvious that the plate slipped on the glass table tops would suggest a place mat is used. Otherwise we had a lovely stay in a beautiful setting

Very good and would definitely recommend. Food was really well prepared and presented and the choice of dishes enough with several options for each course. Friendly, helpful service too. Comfortable and relaxing decor and relaxing ambience. Lovely at breakfast as you get the view when it's light. Couldn't fault it or suggest anything to do differently.

Starters and Main courses were excellent. Bit too fancy with the desserts when a more simpler menu would have been better... vanilla cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie etc. Staff were great, friendly and nothing was any trouble 👍🏻.

Fab atmosphere as always and the fact we can bring our dog is great. However our waitress brought our food but didn’t ask if we required anything else. No offer of extra condiments which we had to ask for. Apart from that a lovely night.

Loved it! We had a lovely misty morning view from the Lodge restaurant area where we ate breakfast (with the Wowcher Voucher). The food was hot, fresh and tasty along with the scone, fruit granola and muffin. Fresh coffee and great, fast service. Then we both went back to work later that morning after eating!

Extremely Pricey for what it is. £21 each for breakfast. It’s nice though. Haggis is just a pile of mush I’m afraid. 1 x coffee machine whole rest? Not good enough. I seen large queues both days, then it went out of order. Should be 2 machines. Even poss 3.

It was disappointing that we were not at a table at a window looking over the loch. However, it appeared to be the policy that day, as everyone was seated in the restaurant's upper area. The food was good but it was sad to see that the breakfast items were served in a cereal bowl instead of the skillets used on our previous visits. The staff was excellent with a friendly and efficient attitude. Although not as good as previous visits, I would still return.

Stayed one night DBB. Restaurant clean, nice and relaxing. Ordered ham hock for starters which was excellent choice, enjoyed very much. Main course ordered the duck, again delicious Dessert just couldn’t resist ordering apple and toffee crumble which did not disappoint, excellent choice again. Enjoyed every course. The waitress and waiters on the night (Sunday) were fantastic. Breakfast was plenty full and excellent choice, ordered the full Scottish and couldn’t fault it perfect. Again staff fantastic. We stayed1 night with the DBB deal and it is fantastic will definitely be back to stay.

Fantastic views over loch lomond. Food very nice , but in an empty restaurant, we were seated right next to another couple. Felt like we were intruding on the other couple.

Very pleasant meal and atmosphere. £46 for a small fillet steak with half a mushroom and some fries is excessive, but food was good. Wine also incredibly overpriced. Thought we were at Gleneagles. Starters and desserts were very nice. Our waitress, Iona was excellent and is a credit to the restaurant. All in all good food, but some of the prices were excessive. We'd think twice about returning to stay at this hotel as it was like they new you had no other easy choice of somewhere to eat.

Lovely hotel with fantastic views over Loch Lomond. Rooms spacious, spotlessly clean and comfy bed. All staff friendly and professional. Restaurant serves good food beautifully presented.

Quite expensive for what was average food. I was very surprised to find a 10% tip had been added to our final bill, I believe tips should be optional for couples. Xx

Amazing location, service excellent, friendly staff, just loved the atmosphere over looking the loch. Food was very good.

We ordered food the night we stayed to our room and cocktails. Cocktails were amazing food wasn’t great. Chips very soggy and undercooked. Breakfast came with the room so we went to resteraunt and I paid extra for morning tea. Breakfast was tiny no toast or anything. Had to pay extra for a late. No water or anything provided at table so also had to pay for juice. The scones weren’t great and oat pots were very very small so would maybe next time just stick to the normal breakfast as it didn’t seem like an upgrade. We would come back though as we had a great stay all over

Dinner was part of an overnight stay. Food was just OK. I wouldn't have paid the prices for the food and most definitely not the wine if I'd only been for dinner. Wine was ridiculously overpriced for mediocre. Syarter obviously bought in (ham hough). Cod fillet could have been wonderful. But it was lukewarm, skin wasn't crispy. Crumble overly sweet.

Staff were lovely but a bit short handed. Wine list is out of date. Food average. But a pleasant experience

Had morning tea at the restaurant. Staff were lovely and helpful as I had booked for breakfast and not morning tea! Everything was sorted out with no problems.

I was absolutely blown away by the view from the restaurant. It was matched by the superb food and excellent service from everyone in the bar and restaurant. We were celebrating a special birthday and really appreciated the beautiful birthday dessert which arrived unprompted.

£37 for 2 cheese sandwiches and chips, we expected much better to be honest. Won’t be returning.

Good coffee, good service, very clean

Spent three days and two nights while attending a wedding. From start to finish everything went well. The staff could not be more helpful and they are a credit to this wonderful hotel. The location is wonderful and to compliment this we had lovely weather for the time of year. To everyone THANK YOU for an amazing stay.

We had a afternoon tea which was lovely the only problem was that the sandwiches were nice but the bread was dry . They obviously were made earlier which is fine but weren't kept covered. Overall would go back as it’s position on the loch is breathtaking.

Lovely place with good service and views over the loch. The dinner was nice and food recommendable, but the lunch we had the day before was a little bit disappointing with too much salt on the chips and the soup of the day wasn't enjoyed by my partner (sorry).

Beautiful setting and views of loch but average food and service was a little too rushed for our liking (would have been fine at lunchtime but not for dinner) Most disappointing of all was the menu which was slightly up market pub food rather than decent restaurant food - had a caesar salad which was OK, but would not have been my choice in Scotland.

Fabulous food. We stayed 2 nights DBB breakfast was hot and delicious, evening meal 3 courses, great selection and each night we were not disappointed. Food was delicious my husbands sirloin was huge and cooked to order. Service in the restaurant was impeccable, each member were happy and eager to please. Can’t wait to return.

There were 3 in our party; we were looked after by Lauren, who could not have been more helpful. One member of our party chose a sirloin steak, which was, unfortunately, over cooked. Lauren dealt with the situation perfectly and a fresh plate came out a little while later - with a beautifully cooked steak. I chose the rib eye - no complaints, it was gorgeous. My friend chose the butter chicken, which was delicious. My dessert was creme brulee; perfect creamy base and fantastic, crunchy caramel top. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Many thanks to all the staff, especially Lauren.

Having no competition as a waterfront restaurant they are not really looking for excellence. Limited choice of dishes, mediocre overpriced cuisine, absent minded staff

We stayed 2 nights DBB, breakfast was amazing, The coffee is really good and plenty of continental choice as well as hot choices had the full breakfast one morning it was hot and delicious although I would of liked a bit of slice sausage instead of haggis 2nd morning eggs Benedict it was delicious. Dinner was 3 courses and the choice was good both nights we enjoyed all 3 courses paid a supplement for the sirloin which my husband said was perfect and huge in size. The staff in the restaurant are fabulous always checking if everything is ok with the meal. Stunning views over the loch made it magical. Look forward to returning

Beautiful setting but the atmosphere was a little bit too ‘diner’ for some reason it reminded me of a services restaurant but a smart one for sure. The food was ok but my fish was overcooked and I would say overpriced for what you get. Service was good however I did notice that the stations were such a mess cuboard doors left open etc.

Food was very average sirloin steak very chewy didn’t taste like good quality Scottish beef,Breakfast was nice.

The staff are very welcoming upon arrival, the restaurant is beautiful in the day with the views looking out onto the loch and at night the lighting is perfect, makes you feel very relaxed and chilled. The food is beautiful and drink options are enough and all reasonably prices as well! The only downfall is we felt rushed by the staff when ordering food, we had to ask twice for a few more minutes when choosing from the menu on two separate occasions, it made us feel rushed into picking our food and the courses come quick and fast!! But other than that minor fault we couldn’t fault the place and the bar staff are very nice!

Dinner was good but soup was lentil a bit unimaginative for such a restaurant. The bread was over toasted I could not eat it. The fish and chips was delicious. Breakfast was great.

Lovely area and great rooms with special touches, however, terribly let down by the restaurant. The rib-eye steak was tough and difficult to cut, even with a steak knife. I expected more for such a high end establishment and top of the range prices. I would definitely recommend the rooms, however, not the restaurant.

The view is amazing. The restaurant is great. Beds are comfortable.

first place Ive seen a whole glob artichoke on the menu and it was fabulous ! Other starter was the beetroot hummus with tzatziki, again fab! Service was top notch - the rest of the lunch was great with the chicken schnitzel burger being a winner !

Very disappointing. This was our last night of holiday and looked forward to a special meal, but it was far from that. Is it not possible to have a designated children’s area? We listened to a child on the next table screaming on and off throughout our meal. We asked for ‘tender’ vegetables. Maybe the chef doesn’t understand the word ‘tender’? They were like bullets. My husband ‘s chicken was tough too! We expected better from a 4* hotel.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view, but service a little slow, took forever to serve us and they completely forgot the coffee at the end. Don't recommend the artichoke starter, the pulp was completely removed and replaced with tomatoes or something, it was so barbequed it was inedible, Cesar salad was good but the croutons could break your teeth so beware 😱. Despite my complaints it is a lovely restaurant 😁 and the staff were very nice 👍🏻

Like many hotel restaurants it lacked atmosphere but the food and service were good.

Excellent food - The Haggis parcel was delicious. Service was good and very friendly. The breakfast was delicious too.

Food is very good with a good selection if dishes available, some of which are a little pricey but overall very good.

A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting on the edge of Loch Lomond. Food was nice - I had the Butter Chicken Curry, which was a generous portion and quite tasty. My boyfriend had the Beef Burger which was very well seasoned. Slightly on the pricey side, but for the lovely attentive and kind service, and the setting, it was well worth it. Highly recommend booking ahead of time as it was quite busy!

Worst meal have had in ages! 4 people Sunday 1st. Waitress was the redeeming factor so nice. Porchetta dish horrendous swimming in grease, Cassoulet base not a white bean or Toulouse sausage on the plate. Packet pork scratching poured over it. Chicken snitchell basic burger!. Liqueur coffee - latte!. Reception arrival rude unhelpful.

Too expensive for what we got. I would not eat there again due to the high cost.

We had booked In advance of arrival and were shown immediately to our table. The servers were friendly and helpful and the glorious view out across the loch was breathtaking. Our food arrived after a very short wait. The starter was delicious- luscious ripe fragrant melon with berries and sorbet - pretty on the plate and great to eat on a warm day. We chose haggis for mains and weren’t disappointed- it was great haggis with just the right amount of neeps and tatties!, and whisky sauce! It wasn’t a cheap meal but we thought on balance good value for money.

We were seated and told a twenty minute wait. There was a tour group there so some what busy. We waited for an hour for soup and one sandwich. We said something about it to the waitress and she said she would look into it. After a while a different waitress Hannah came to our table and argued with us and she literally came back to our table with the ticket for our meals saying we only were waiting for 29 minutes. I could not believe that she did that. You could tell she was mad. Very unprofessional rude and needs to learn proper etiquette on being a polite waitress. Soup was ok as was the sandwich. To bad the service was very unfriendly.😕

Stunning location with a comftable dog friendly service. The posatives stop at that. The food was awful chewy inedible meat greasy fish very poor execution. Hope you fix the food amazing location.
