I have to say I was not impressed at all with the food here. The 3 stars are for the drinks, waitress and peas. We went on a Friday lunch time and the place was almost empty. We ordered a child's sausage and mash, and 2 motherships. 1. The. Child's mash was inedible, it tasted like frozen mash that had been baked in an oven so it had a crust. Out of the 4 mini sausage 2 were that hard even I couldn't cut them, I presume they were cooked earlier and then re heated In the microwave. 2. The mash with the adults meals was the same, the gravy was cold and the pie had raw pastry on the base. 3. Toilets had no toilet roll 4. The whole place smelt of old cooking oil. The only item that was nice was the minted peas. Waitress was friendly. It was the biggest waste of £60 in my life.

Our first visit here, to celebrate our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. A fantastic culinary evening with the Signature Tasting menu. Beautifully presented, delicious, and some challenging (in a good way) dishes. Unlike some fine dining restaurants, the portion sizes were generous, and each course was flavourful and interesting. A great evening with fantastic food and service. Thank you to Chef Jono for the personalised touch for our anniversary. Highly recommend.

Catering supplied to our home for a family birthday party. The quality of the buffet was excellent, delivered on time and well received by all our guests. We could enjoy the occasion more knowing the catering was sorted - many thanks to Becky and the team

An old style pub in the heart of Havant. Outdoor seating area, 2 televisions and a fireplace inside. Extremely lovely helpful welcoming staff. Delicious Roasts served on a Sunday from 12pm till 2pm, but definitely need to book in advance.

Visited Beverley with a friend today and decided to drop by this bakery purely out of curiosity as we walked past ! Took home a strawberry tart and a lemon tart - they were both amazing ! One of the best I had ! Will definitely be back for more ! 🙂

I am gluten intolerant and always get great care and service at Prado Lounge. My current favourite is the mazze salad made with roasted beetroot and crumbled feta. It is amazingly tasty and very filling Great variety of quality teas available here too

Nestled amidst the picturesque backdrop of Truro, The Penrose Kitchen is a gastronomic haven where every detail is orchestrated to create an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment my wife and I stepped into this culinary sanctuary, we were swept away by the elegance and sophistication that graced every corner. Our evening began with a libation that set the tone for the culinary journey ahead: expertly crafted martini cocktails moistened our palates as we perused the menu, our anticipation grew, knowing that we were about to embark on a culinary adventure unlike any other. For starters, my wife's choice of twice-baked soufflé was a testament to the chef's artistry. The delicate rise of the soufflé was a prelude to the exquisite flavours that awaited within. My own selection, the scallops accompanied by a bold partner – black pudding – was a harmonious pairing of textures and tastes that delighted my senses. As the evening progressed, we were introduced to a refined duet of main courses, which were accompanied with an exquisite Argentinian Malbec, my wife's choice of halibut over a bed of vibrant broccoli showcased the chef's mastery of marrying ingredients with what can only be described as a Zen like balance of flavours. The halibut, tender and succulent, seemed to glide effortlessly across the plate. My own dish, a filet of beef, was a rhapsody of flavours that reverberated with each exquisite bite. The Malbec, proved to be the virtuoso companion to the rich tapestry of flavours that emerged from every mouthful of steak. In the midst of this culinary opus, the service and staff shone as brightly as the cuisine. Attentive, knowledgeable, and discreet, they guided us through this culinary symphony with a grace that elevated the entire experience. The husband and wife team behind The Penrose Kitchen are nothing short of a culinary tour de force, their passion evident in every plate that emerges from their kitchen. As our evening drew to a close, we surrendered to the final movement of our dining experience – a finale that embraced both indulgence and refinement. A Cointreau liqueur coffee, bold and warming, bid adieu to the main performance, leaving us with a lingering aftertaste of satisfaction and contentment. The Penrose Kitchen is not merely a restaurant; it is an embodiment of gastronomic excellence that transports diners to the echelons of fine dining without the intimidating price tag. For both residents and visitors to Cornwall, this establishment is an invitation to savour Michelin-quality fare in an environment where every detail is curated to perfection.

I walked to Barnard Castle one lunch time and popped in for a bite to eat. There’s a big choice on the menu and a list of specials. I had the chicken and asparagus pie with veg and chips and it was delicious. My only observation would be that the service was a bit slow but I wasn’t in a hurry.
