We regularly visit The Salt Pig in Wareham as it's simply the best in town. Perfect for Breakfast, Lunch or just coffee and cake. All the food is locally sourced which is very important to us. All the staff are really friendly and extremely hard working. The food is always delicious and fresh and what about the Sunday Roasts...Woweee!! Just theeeee best. I can probably say it's the best eat out roast I've had, hand down!! We love it here. Ps we buy all our locally sourced meat from the in house butcher as well. Superb!!!

Brooks is a must visit destination restaurant. We travelled from South Africa to dine at Brooks. It has fantastic small plates a very good wine list and an amazing proprietor. The wine list is extensive and has a number of special International wines. The food is innovative and tasty. Put this on your must visit Leeds itinerary.

Lovely warm welcome, great service & good food. Visited with a friend I ordered the full breakfast which was delicious (my egg was perfect 👌 ) my friend ordered pancakes with bacon & maple syrup which were also well cooked and delicious. Tea was nice & hot & plenty in teapot for two people, love the vintage style tea cups and saucers, we will definitely come back again.

Just terribly overpriced for the portion. I ordered a ‘large chips’ which came in a tray you would have as an individual. It was about a cone of chips, maybe a tad more, but to pay silly money for a large chips you would expect to share between 2 or maybe 3 people is just daylight robbery. I expect to pay more based on the location compared to the Midlands, but at least give me a fair portion for the money.

Last time we visited Manbers we had a lovely Sunday lunch so decided to visit for Sunday lunch again . Very disappointed with the beef it was dry and hard to chew The roast potatoes looked like they had been recooked and were really hard. Won’t be going again .

We really enjoyed our two day break at this very charming and well run hotel set in this lovely small town. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Amanda and directed to our room. Located on the top floor the view of the square was most pleasant although the final few steep stairs might be a challenge for some. The room itself was cosy, spotless, had a very nice bathroom (excellent shower) and a very comfortable bed which made for very restful sleep. The only minor criticism (according to my wife) is that there was no seated vanity/dressing table with a mirror although there was a very comfy sofa for relaxing and watching TV should you so wish. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather meaning we could enjoy the rear private beer garden. I can imagine that with the plentiful seating areas, heaters and greenery it will be very atmospheric of a long summer evening. Charlie was excellent at the bar, was very friendly and looked after us admirably. Likewise Justine was equally as attentive, charming and fun when looking after us at both dinner and breakfast. The evening menu is limited (by design for quality) and we thoroughly enjoyed the Chatheaubriand! Breakfast was excellent too! The modern cocktail bar offers a very pleasant area to enjoy pre dinner drinks and watch passers by in the square. In summary, it is of no surprise that the hotel has such good reviews and it is our pleasure to add to those. The hotel is well run, very pleasant and the staff are not only very friendly but make you feel welcome and wanted. We will be back.
