Osterley and Spring Grove, Hounslow
15/03/2021: Always friendly staff, a welcoming atmosphere and some of the best coffee I have had, with fresh tasty treats to boost. A favourite place to visit for a post-work pick-me-up.
05/03/2021: best mocha i've ever had! and very friendly and polite barista

Clerkenwell, Islington, 20-30£
17/12/2020: But if you are gluten and dairy free , it is so good to look at a wide ranging menu and be free to choose. Service, food, ambiance all very good and its a reasonable price.
14/12/2020: This is the second time we have been to this lovely restaurant and both times have been excellent. From the friendly great service to the truly excellent food, this is a real gem and I would highly recommend it. Thanks and looking forward to our next visit !

The Bloomsbury

West Twickenham, Richmond upon Thames, >100£
07/02/2021: Fantastic Sunday roast, our first time from this place. Good value, cooked just like a home cooked dinner. Would highly recommend. We had a time to pick up and was ready and waiting for us. Lovely and hot. Even included the horseradish. Thank you, we will definitely be back.
29/11/2020: A great local: uncomplicated, friendly staff who remember who you are, good selection of beer.

Hawksmoor Seven Dials

St James's, City of London,Westminster
10/01/2021: We came here for a birthday treat, we definitely needed it after the year everyone’s had, and it was a DELICIOUS meal! The atmosphere was fab, really busy but still safe (very warm!) the steak was perfect, we had mac and cheese, fries and buttered greens on the side, and the wine was very nice. They kept our glasses topped up without needed to ask. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!
07/12/2020: The food here is amazing. Absolutely loved everything about it. The shakey Steves Ginger brew cocktail is also amazing. Then there are the deserts which are next level. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Augustina's Tearoom

Pinner, Harrow
13/02/2021: Cost setting nice coffee and afternoon tea selection.
30/10/2020: Great tea room. Amazing tea and sweet treats.

The Victoria

Hyde Park, City of London,Westminster
28/03/2021: I ate here regularly during my one week stay at Ramada Hyde Park as The Victoria is within walking distance. I found that the staff were courteous. As a solo female traveler from Canada, I felt safe dining here. I really enjoyed their traditional Christmas dinner. I would not hesitate to come back here, and would recommend to any travelers.
13/12/2020: The best pub for Sunday roast & Excellent service received by Abi during our visit. Abi was a great host and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

The Golden Chippy

Greenwich West, Greenwich
04/04/2021: We are always seeking good fish and chips as this is very difficult in London. Being from Yorkshire where good fish and chips are widely available it’s been a mission for the past 16 years in London to find a place that meets the same standard. Well, The Golden Chippy does that and delivers the delicious food with a smile as well. We have to travel nearly 1.5 hours across London for these fish and chips but always worth it!Thanks to all of the Golden Chippy Team and see you soon!
14/03/2021: Me and my wife travelled down from Rochester to try this fish and chip shop after watching some video reviews on YouTube, hoping to sample one of the best in London and we were not disappointed. The quality and freshness of the fish, beautiful light, but crispy batter and soft chips were all a delight. The service was amazing. Really could not recommended high enough. Excellent.

Flour To The People

Latchmere, Wandsworth, <20£
06/02/2021: And broccoli that tasted like it’s been waiting from a recent shipping haul that’s been stuck in Dover for 6 weeks. Flour to people definitely voted for brexit. Also they blame it all on deliveroo, even the flavours. As much accountability as Prince Andrew (Woking pizza express pun not intendent although it’s incidentally quite close in location to where we just ordered our pizza)
17/11/2020: First time ordering and wasn’t disappointed. Three of us all had different pizzas and they were all delicious ! One of the best takeaway pizzas I’ve ever had ! Highly recommended !!

Carpe Diem

Totteridge, Barnet
23/02/2021: The best little bistro in whetstone. I've coming to Carpe Diem for about 7 years and I can honestly say the food is still outstanding. The standard of food had not gone down, and is still amazing today and the portions are so big, you definitely won't leave feeling hungry. I have so many favourite foods I can't name them all, but I have to say their burgers are to die for, so are the pasta dishes, and the salads are gorgeous and massive. The staff are lovely and you actually feel like one of the family. Definitely give it a go, you won't be disappointed.Helen P
19/10/2020: I was looking for somewhere new to eat locally and, after reading all the excellent reviews decided to go to Carpe Diem yesterday. I had to wait for an outside table as did several other people, could have eaten inside but with Covid wanted to be outside. I can only reiterate what all the other reviews have stated - excellent good, very reasonably priced and huge portions. My friend and I both had the toasted panini generously filled with ham, cheese and mushrooms, an amazing salad which included things like pomegranate seeds, olives, picked veggies, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, home made coleslaw was really excellent. I also had an order of delicious french fries. A coffee and a Peroni washed it down - £18. How they could provide such excellent food with such large portions for the price amazed me. ALL the good that came out looked great and I will certainly go back soon. The service was a little slow, there were 2 large groups outside as well and the waitress came out a couple of times to apologies as the kitchen was busy - also cooking for inside. However, when the food arrived it was worth the wait hence the top marks.. Happily wait for food again.

Smiths Brasserie - Smiths Wapping

St Katharine's and Wapping, Tower Hamlets
06/04/2021: We ordered, and collected a takeaway meal from Smith's Wapping tonight. We decided to collect our meal (15% discount) and were very impressed with the COVID-19 measures in place to ensure everyone's safety. We ordered:Panko Crumbed Cornish Calamari with Garlic Mayonnaise (to share).Pan Fried Tiger Prawns cooked in Garlic, Chilli, White Wine & Tomato Sauce.Grilled Cornish Hake Fillet with Spanish Olives, Anchovies, Sun Blush Tomatoes, Capers & Extra Virgin Olive Oil.Steamed Baby Potatoes with Herb Butter.Seasonal Vegetables of the DayThis meal was plenty to share and more than enough for us both, especially as I was quite hungry. ALL of the dishes were delicious and we could not fault a single thing about the whole experience. Thank You to all of the team at Smith's, we will definitely do this again, while we wait for you to reopen.
15/02/2021: We had the takeaway (which was actually delivered) for Valentine's Day. The food was amazing and arrived piping hot and delivery was bang on time. We are regulars at Smith's and I can assure that the food was of the quality we've come to expect when dining in the restaurant itself. Highly recommended.

The Vincent Rooms

Aldersgate,Cheap, City of London,Westminster
12/12/2020: Fantastic lunch with Michelin star food and service at pub price. Great experience, lovely food and people.
11/12/2020: Almost a year to the day since the last time, we are back, this time at the Brasserie instead of the Escoffier. Situated in the hall, the decor is functional but pleasant enough and there had been an effort to dress it up for Christmas. Covid precautions are impeccably implemented. There is no doubt that you are in a classroom not a restaurant. Don't let that put you off - its great what these students and their teachers do. Our server was Tia (hope I spelled that right) and she was friendly and attentive. Service was very prompt - I won't say rushed as we were never pressured but we did end up asking for some time to choose dessert simply to give ourselves some breathing room. In a commercial place I would suspect they were trying to turn the tables but here I think it was just exuberance. The food was the usual high standard. Starter of poached pear and blue cheese salad was enjoyed by both of us. Dining companion had the classic turkey and all the trimmings. I had the root vegetable strudel which was beautifully presented and enjoyable. The chocolate mousse for dessert was nice but we both found it too sweet for us and thought the cream was a step too far - but we chose it instead of the cheese board because we wanted to have something prepared by the kitchen.Value is great for the level of food and service: the bill came to about £90 for 3 courses each and a bottle of wine.Snags: they forgot to offer us bread before the starters arrived, rectified before we had even thought to notice the absence. And my mousse was missing the tiny star shaped shortbreads as advertised - only spotted by us half way through eating it. None of which detracted in anyway from the experience. It cannot be said enough that this is a great place that needs support to enable these students to progress. Go if you can, it's a gem. I hope that 2021 is a better year for the hospitality sector and that we are back much sooner than next Christmas.

Croft Tearoom

Cray Valley East, Bromley
16/02/2021: Amazing and lovely afternoon tea.
10/02/2021: I brought an afternoon tea for my parents as a surprise treat during lockdown - it was great service from enquiring about order to receiving an delicious- well packaged selection of sandwiches/cakes and scones with the cream and jam. Will definitely be ordering again and looking forward to being able to in eat in the lovely tea rooms again when we can

Oxo Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie

Cathedrals, Southwark
05/03/2021: I don't think the architects behind The Oxo Tower should have been allowed to call it The Oxo Tower. It's a complete and utter fabrication. No silver foil wrapper, no beefy goodness and it isn't constructed in the shape of a small crumbly brown cube. Don't let the bright lights and illuminated letters fool you – this tower is not made of Oxo and does not provide the perfect accompaniment to your Sunday roast. It's all breeze blocks and glass and steel and hermetically sealed lifts round this neck of the sarf bank. Avoid this place like the plague, which, ironically, is due to make a comeback in London sometime soon. Especially if Matt Hancock has anything to do with it. #BBnJ2021
03/02/2021: I visited this restaurant few times, and each time was perfect. Excellent service, good food and reasonable price.

Arment WJ & Son

Faraday, Southwark, <20£
11/02/2021: Due to COVID we have had to order a delivery. Absolutely fantastic, such a reminder of our London life before we moved to Surrey. My husbands family had stalls in East Lane so Arments was just an every day thing. Now its such a treat the food was delicious the service was outstanding and loved the little note THANK YOU SOPHIE and the Love Heart sweets what a thoughtful idea. Will definitely be ordering again THANK YOU ARMENTS!!!
21/01/2021: Back in England after 16 months away and I am sitting here, waiting on the delivery of my Pie Box, that was ordered last Monday and the anticipation is killing me!

The Foyer At Claridge's

West End, City of London,Westminster, >100£
15/12/2020: Excellent customer service throughout from all at Claridges. The afternoon tea was wonderful, so much food and they just kept bringing more! nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to top up with our favourite sandwiches. A Christmas pudding treat was served along with the scones and various assorted cakes....all very lovely. It was our anniversary and we were also given a celebration cake plus a lovely individual Christmas cake each to take home. The choice of teas too were amazing and we could have as many as we wanted. Our waiter was excellent and kept our champagne flowing. They were all aware of the Covid rules and customers were spaced out well and sanitisers were plentiful. I can't praise them enough and this is highly recommended and very reasonably priced for everything that we had. Thank you Claridges.
13/12/2020: We had a wonderful time. The sandwiches were amazing and so was the Christmas pudding, cakes and the hot chocolate!!!! We had two vegan and one vegetarian options and they made a huge effort. When we left they gave my son a lovely bear with his name embroidered on it and we got some marmalade and a Christmas cake to take away. Never rushed and we sat for over three hours. It was little busy but the staff were all wearing masks and unbelievably nice and sweet.
