Our first time with them to try their Standard Cod, small chips and home made pea fritters X 2. It was lovely, freshly cooked to order, tasty batter good fish and chips and fritters. We were both pleased as the portions were a good size enough to take some home and eat later. Good local business we say. Top marks. We will return very soon. Give them a try we recommend. Top marks.

Excellent fish and chips supper. Batter was really nice not too thick , but just enough. You could taste the fish was fresh. We had haddock & chips, spam fritter , sausage in batter and a large pot of curry sauce… really tasty.

Recommended by a local, ordered about £23 worths of food but forgot to order some tomato sauce, was told this was 45p no problem pay by card did not accept minimum of £2.50. If an old lady didnt give me her coppers which they took our food would be ruined. Todays world sadly but would not recommend to anyone else.

Probably my worst ever experience in a Fish & Chip shop. Staff arguing with each other over how many outstanding orders left to do, the old grumpy rude bloke in back making it very clear he did want any more customers in & just wanted to go home & the bloke who packed the chips was slower than a sloath Hold an hour for a few bags of chios. Disgraceful.

The BEST Cod outside of Wetwang!! And certainly the best in Cornwall. Really delicious and beautiful fish. Freshly cooked. Really enjoyable. What made this even more enjoyable, was how wonderful the lady serving us was with my children! My son has ADHD and is on the autistic spectrum.. I’m very used to being stared at in disgust by people who assume my son is rude and naughty but this lady engaged and gave them colours and paper and even offered to display their work in her shop! For the first time in a long time I enjoyed my food without feeling stressed. Wonderful all round!!

It's average but why would you go to a fish and chip restaurant and order burgers? Surely you're better off going to Macdonald's? Ps, seems like the owner only likes good reviews, anyone who writes something that may embarrass him gets a sarcastic comment. Go to High lanes fish and chip shop, decent portions, always excellent quality at reasonable prices.

Lovely visit to Chandlers. Chips were amazing!!! Small fish a decent Size. Returned the for a second time with family tonight and staff so accommodating to my concern from previous night. On holiday for another 2 weeks and will definitely return before heading to Scotland ❤️

Best Fish & Chips in Hayle with healthier options. We were sent here by a local and so glad we gave them a try. We had the steamed cod with chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. The fish was super tasty and moist. Chips were tasty and not greasy. Overall excellent food and service, highly recommended!!

Me and my grandparents came here while we were staying at St ives bay. The fish and chips were cooked professionally. The chips were so good I even tried the gravy and I don’t normally like gravy on chips. I poured some on my battered sausage and chips. We will be coming back when we come in August 2023.

Food was great lady's were rushed of there feet kept waiting 15min before getting served. Services had stopped as was told they were catching up !!! Lol 😆 more staff needed 🤣

Really friendly, great chips. Decent price. If you're staying at the nearby haven Park, come here! Honestly don't bother with the "chippy" on site, it's dreadful. Frozen oven chips chucked in the fryer and way overpriced. 2 mins down the road is a proper chippy in Chandlers!

Fish was nice the chips and curry sauce was nothing special but £3.70 for a large chips you’d think would be enough to feed 2 adults and a 16 year old ? wrong 🙄 thank goodness for bread and butter.Next time we’re down it’ll be the chippy at Portreath.

Well the main thing was that the fish and chips were delicious and the staff were friendly and efficient. Some parking available on the side and also car parks nearby.

Quite a wait for our order (only one couple in front of us) but was piping hot when we got it and not bad quality compared to others we've tried in the area. Staff were efficient but not the friendliest towards us unfortunately (although in fairness they were having a long chat with the couple in front).

Amazing food! Chips were lovely and crispy, and the kids box meal was really good value. Lovely and friendly staff who weren’t phased by my two hyper kids chattering away. Fantastic service.

You need to visit this chip shop! The owner was instantly friendly and helpful, she recommended the homemade fish cake and informed me of all ingredients. She made me feel so comfortable, which is so important for me. Prices were completely reasonable right by the ocean. The food was fresh, the fish cake was the tastiest fish cake I've ever had in my life. We ordered Mini Cod and Large Chips and Homemade Fish Cake. They had plenty of helpful notifications and adverts on their wall too, I found out about the Seal Sanctuary near by- where I'll be going tomorrow! If you want fresh food, please visit this chip shop! Thank you so much for giving me and my husband a great experience- all the way from Wolverhampton! Was worth the 5 hour drive.

I had Haddock with chips and spicy curry sauce. The fish was one of the most delicious pieces of haddock I have ever had and the batter was exactly how I like it: nice and thin and also quite soft and not oily at all. The curry sauce was also delicious!

Chips, fresh from the fryer. Delicious and good portions. Quick drive back to our chalet and paired with our cooked mussels !! Perfect combo, chips were crisp, hot and scrumptious.

Stopped at Chandlers as we had traveled for many hours and were extremely hungry. Not wishing to take more time in preparing a meal, we opted for Chandlers. We were not disappointed. Great fish, and Scampi. Chips were very good. From our experience we can certainly recommend.

On our annual visit to St Ives Bay we always look forward to a chippy tea from Chandler’s Plaice. We were not disappointed. The staff here are so friendly and professional and the owner always makes us feel very welcome. The food is fantastic and really must be the best fish and chips in the area. We can’t wait until our next visit.
