It was very busy when we arrived but the staff were very helpful in accommodating my Grandson in his pram and offered a highchair. The food was very good although we just had a sandwich. I have been several times before and it is very good and staff are always accommodating and happy to help.

We had a lovely experience here. We went primarily to check out their Annie Sloan paint selection as I've just got into revamping my old furniture to save a few bob. We were shown around all three floors where we got to see lots of items painted in all the different colours. The coffee and cakes were gorgeous and reasonably priced too.

Felt rushed & pressured when the staff started putting the outdoor tables away.

Real shortage of space to really enjoy it.......

Afternoon tea.....was good, 3 choices sandwich on plate..I do prefer few small different cakes, not just one piece. Never have I had to pay 50percent deposit I personally don't agree with that..been self employed myself I would never ask for deposit. Luvly vintage cutlery..

I loved the coffee and the sweet treats! 😋 I didn't have the opportunity to order sandwiches or other cold snacks, even though I've been to this place several times! 😊

Nice cafe in wakefield, plenty of room inside, and upstairs. Steep steps if your a bit infirm. Another place to keep in mind if your in wakey.

Not been for a while. Won't go back again.b Staff surly. Ordered sandwich it was dumped in front of me - no napkin, no fork for the salad. I had to go to counter and ask. My table was really badly stained with cup stains and looked disgusting. All in all the visit was a mistake .

Just called in. I was in a hurry, you know how it is. I was walking down the street before I realised £7.50 for a beef salad sandwich in 2 slices of white bread! Would have helped if the person behind the counter smiled at least! It"s a no from me.

Third time we’ve visited. First 2 times it was good. This last time will be the last time. I had the same all 3 visits, this time it was only half of what I had last 2 times but the price (£7.50) was the same. Both my wife and my food were completely tasteless. Coffee was good though.

Came in 2pm on 26/02/24. Quite a nice environment, staff did their job but the coffee was really bitter. I suggest the baristas do a coffee course before they sell coffee to the public. Needs a lot more training in this place. Edit: Your reply focuses on your upset rather than a genuine apology or accountability. I am fully aware of the amount of time it takes to be a good barista however the purpose of the review is to be a voice to those who may use your business. Indeed you may have a mechanism to make a new coffee but what if people are in a rush or do not feel inclined to talk to staff who don’t seem to care and are on their phones?

Never have a problem with the food and the cakes are always very good. However, the interior is becoming shabby and the place could do with a fresh lick of paint.

A lovely cafe. Delicious homemade food and very friendly service. The team treats everyone like family. Would love to come back soon.

Had been wanting to visit here a while but unfortunately was slightly disappointed, we seemed to have visited at a pretty busy time which probably had an impact but the staff were friendly and it's a cute place. I liked all the decorations etc however we did have to wait quite a long time time (over half an hour) for the wrap which my cousin found to be a bit underwhelming and the houmous and bread - the focaccia was amazing though! We were pretty cold but appreciate it's a big space to heat on a cold day and there were attempts to with heaters about, and multiple plates had soap suds still on them. At least they'd been washed at least but could have done with a proper dry too 😅 So overall not a terrible visit but think expectations might have been a bit too high.

Lovely Cafe, great staff and amazing food . American pancakes and bacon was the best I had ever had, Americano coffee which was actually hot unlike some other places .

So dissatisfied, Booked my sisters birthday Treat A Mad Hatters tea Party , Thursday 30th nov 2023 , Got there and they hadn’t done it , Turns out they’d booked me a fortnight in front for Dec 14th,Then treat me as if I didn’t know my own sisters Birthday They couldnt find my booking it wasn’t until my Son called in they found it , Ive Eventually got my Deposit back I couldn’t eat there again the way they made me feel ,Anyone can make mistakes but Admit if you have .They ought to go to a Management class they didn’t handle it very well , they would have preferred to loose a customer than be nice, very disappointed Local

Ordered 6 take out afternoon teas . Delicious food . ....fresh and well presented . Packaged carefully. Service was super and staff very friendly and helpful .

We booked as a party of 3 for afternoon tea. We absolutely loved it. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were absolutely delicious as was the tea. Everything was served on beautiful crockery. We were well taken care of and our visitor who joined us from the USA absolutely adored it. We will definitely be making a return visit.

This cafe is one of the best in town. The food is always really well presented and made really well. This is my third visit in 2 weeks and my first lunchtime of sandwiches and cakes served on beautiful china. My friends and I had an amazing lunch of mini triangular sandwiches and a variety of cakes and scones, all washed down with tea or coffee. It was a really quaint experience and we have all said that we will do it again. A big shout out to all the staff who are really friendly and just can't do enough for you.

What a lovely, friendly cafe! The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We booked for afternoon tea with a bunch of dietary requirements (dairy free, gluten free and a vegetarian). They accommodated superbly. Food was lovely. Left feeling very full up and happy. Highly recommended!

Can't go wrong. Visited as a party of 3. 2 had veggie breakfasts (they liked it so much previousuly there was no decision to be made!) and I had the fruit toast which came with plenty of butter. There's a wide range of options to suit everyone's tastes and wallets. Everyone was very pleased with their food and drink. My friend likes her tea weak, so they brought her an extra teapot with water. Couldn't do enough to help. There's plenty of tables downstairs and then even more upstairs. Huge windows make the whole place feel light and airy. Friendly and helpful staff. Fast service but we didn't feel at all rushed when we stayed for a while. Would definitely recommend. Final unusual observation... for maybe the first time I've seen, they had a sign at the till stating that they don't take Amex. Many places don't, but this was much more efficient than temporarily breaking the machine which is what normally happens when many staff don't know they can't take it!

I had a lovely lunch at this little cafe in Wakefield city centre. I was looking for somewhere dog friendly and they really were!! My dog was offered water, treats and cuddles!! I had the special of the day which was Brie and tomato on focaccia with salad, really beautiful with a lovely glass of red wine. I will be back!

A decent choice for everyone. Good service

Lovely food, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere. The only thing that lets it down is that there is only a single toilet for everyone to use, but still I recommend it here.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. It was the rhubarb festival in Wakefield which meant the place was extremely busy but that didn't impact on service or our enjoyment. Nothing was too much trouble. All 6 of us enjoyed it age range 24 - 81 yrs.

Just called in for a coffee and cake nice location great friendly staff very large portion of cake really enjoyed our short time there but I only have one small point the toilet is upstairs and the staircase is quite steep but if your OK with that give them a visit

This is a little gem. The scones we had today were yummy. A lovely range of teas too. I had a fruit tea and it was gorgeous. The facilities are very clean, warm and cosy with polite and friendly staff. I definitely recommend you give this cafe a try.

Called in here for a morning cuppa and ended up trying their Toasted Croissant with Brie and Chilly Jam.... Absolutely dreamy...full of taste and crispy bacon.....mmmmmmm Will definitely be back for that...try it....

A charming, cosy café in a superb location, run by a friendly and welcoming team. I’m confident that the menu has something for everyone and there’s a particularly good selection of loose leaf teas. I highly recommend ordering the BLT sandwich - it is one of the best I’ve ever had. The big windows are great for gazing out onto Cross Square, watching passers-by as you enjoy your brew.

Lovely cup of tea and really tasty fruit toast for breakfast. Nice staff, clean and comfortable.

Nice place inside, clean and quirky. First thing you see though when you walk in " please bear with us as we are short staffed" and we were told straight away there was a 20 min wait for food and we had only ordered panninis and sandwiches. Hot drinks came fairly soon but were tepid . Food arrived but they were nothing special. The bun/bread on the ham and cheese pannini was hard and dry. If it was in my bread bin i would have plonked it in the rubbish bin.

We have taken our dog Spencer here a few times and we always get such a warm welcome! Dogs are allowed inside and out which is great, especially in the colder weather. The staff are lovely and the food is always amazing. Great atmosphere, highly recommend.

Afternoon tea was great today, plenty of fresh mini sandwiches, crisps, salad, scone with jam and clotted cream, fruit cake, plus your choice of cake from the selection of the day, with bottomless tea and a glass of Prosecco for £18.95. Friendly service and good value in a city centre location. Spot on!

Went yesterday with a friend and ate al fresco. It was lovely. Service is friendly and efficient. The team cannot do enough. I run a business for young children and families and many mums have said that they are great with prams and accommodating families and young children.

Nice latte's with a cozy atmosphere. Outside seating is welcome on the hotter days.

Lovely Find on a cold windy day. Dropped into Wakefield after business nearby and got lost. Nearing despair we were lucky to find this lovely, friendly and warm coffee shop. Enjoyed a hot toasty and good coffee.

Had a nice lunch here. Clean, tidy and friendly atmosphere. We have a large single disability pushchair and the staff were really accommodating giving us a large table even though it was me, my partner and our little one in their chair.

Lovely welcoming cafe with a selection of light meals to satisfy the majority of palettes. Cakes looked delicious and I can recommend the toasties on brown and beef Stilton ciabatta.

First time visit yesterday and it was amazing. Despite being short staffed and busy the service was very quick and friendly. The food was gorgeous and I was really impressed with your gluten free range on the menu for my mum as this is the first time we've managed to go out to eat since she was diagnosed as coeliac so thank you very much!

Stopped by for a coffee, like it here, relaxed, not up with the big chains so its a much friendlier service I find.
