Excellent fish and chips. Never been before but if in the area would buy again. 10/10 delicious.

Seen this place on Facebook I live a long way away but was passing yesterday so called in. I got the special fish it was huge, very tasty and lovely crispy batter. Unfortunately none of the main people seen on Facebook were working quite possibly recovering from good Friday lol. I wanted to meet the main man Liam hopefully next time. Only downside was the food was served wrapped in paper would have been better in a box so easier to eat in the car.

Due to the GPS saying the entrance is on Edgemoor Road instead off Low Moor Crescent. I advise the drivers but they get confused and tend to deliver to 9, Low Moor Crescent instead of 9, Stoney Garth.

What can I say, had a job to Wakefield first time going there, dropped the passenger and typed in fish and chips near me, this place came up. Lovely people in Wakefield Lovely staff Had to wait 5/6 mins for fresh cod fish which was even better love my fish just fried fresh, the chips were perfect and the curry sauce was 20/10 Clean shop, food colour was fresh chips done perfectly and again the lady serving me referred to me as this gentleman fish is ready. Lovely place no wonder they got awards Would definitely go again if I’m near that place even if it’s 20 miles radius Drove back to Birmingham full nice after taste too. Keep up the good work guys 💯🤲❤️👌👍👊

Live in Wakefield but never used this place. Saw the social media reviews so went yesterday for the first time. Was not disappointed, everything was great, hot crispy scallops, asked for scraps and got some, they were perfect. Will be going again. Lovely cheerful lady served me.

Food was so late that we had eaten the food that the chips were to accompany. No idea on quality it went straight in the bin!

The fish was cold and the pieces were so small they looked like they were for a child.

not had anything from codfather in over a year and to be honest I was well disappointed not up to the standard it used to be better is available for cheaper I'm afraid

Lovely food. Huge fish with crispy batter, crispy scallop and the onion rings were legendary! Tartare sauce is an absolute winner too.

Fast and tasty, what else could you want. The potatoes were really a bit undercooked, but the chicken was delicious.

Amazing food. Best fish and chips I had in a long time. Thought the fish and chips come with peas but it didn't I rang and asked could I pay cash for peas on delivery, but they said not to worry and give me free 2 peas. Fresh hot and so nice

delivery time was supposed to be 5.45 but it kept changing. it took over 2 hours from making my order untill was delivered. The food was cold. waste of 32 quid

You pay for delivery yet the drive refuses to bring in to the address because he can’t park. Absolute rubbish just bone idle don’t send him again.

food was cold you could see on tracker app driver went to a few other drops on way so was totally cold when I gone mine

Sorry but got to say it was the worse fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fish so over cooked and like rubber and a lovely hair in the chips. Left most of it!!

Wasn’t very nice, chips was cold, fish was cold, gravy cold, very dry even the cod was dry which I was surprised by, most of it went in the bin

Came really late, then was freezing when it arrived!

The original delivery time seemed really long considering it was a small order and only five minutes away, but they moved the delivery time back 4 times!!!! When it arrived, my cod was dry and rubbery, with hardly any batter, the chips were under cooked, and the bread cake was stale. Considering just how expensive it was I would have expected much much better, and won’t be ordering from there again.

The best we've had in ages. The chips were so nice & fish was thick & flaky, the batter was still crispy despite the 2 miles+ to be delivered. Irish curry & mushy peas were spot on also. We asked for scraps & they obliged. The 2 jumbo sausages were for our dog & it she loved them. However, as part of our meal deal, we didn't get the bottle of coke, but that's fine. We will be reordering because The Cod Father, is the best!

Fantastic fish and chips from here last night. Glad to see the kebabs etc have gone and they now cook the traditional way in dripping. A quality chippy can survive on selling basics of a chippy. This place was packed and rightfully so. All the best to this business.
