Vast improvement! We love this hotel, it’s always been somewhere where the food is good,where you can relax after food, great for dinner or lunch, it never failed, it’s our 1st time back for months as it had gone down hill with kids running the place, now it’s back to the place we love to visit! Thank you Kev for bringing the place back to life, love your plans for the frontage, you really deserve to do well, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you for an enjoyable visit

Honestly amazing, the lady running the show couldn't do enough for our group and she is a machine running three businesses. The food was staples done really well and definetly try the home baked cakes.

We were staying at a local caravan site over the Bank Holiday, 10 minutes walk from the pub. It was a lovely sunny day and we decided to visit the Wheatsheaf. We expected the pub to be really busy as it was Bank Holiday Sunday and a hot day but when we arrived we thought it was closed as there were no sign of customers. We got some drinks (great beers) and sat outside in the 'beer garden', which was a sad and sorry space. Overgrown with weeds, sprouting from every crack in the patio, every pot, hanging basket and border too. A full wheelie bin was situated at the exit from the pub to the garden, on the path, so you had to manoeuvre past it. Benches were in need of refurbishment. There was rubbish, and bits of broken pallet stacked up. Around 8 brand new 'Guiness' parasols laid down in a pile in the corner - why not put them out on a sunny bank holiday? Show that you're open!

We visited on a Sunday night while we were staying in the area. Good choice of drinks. Staff and locals very welcoming to us and our dog. Would definitely return if in the area again.

18 de nosotros reservado para una fiesta de Navidad. La comida era TERRIBLE DEFINITIVAMENTE NO VALE 30 LIQUIDOS CADA UNO. Todo estaba salpicado y frío. Las verduras ni siquiera estaban cocinadas. El servicio no fue tan bueno. Uno de nuestros miembros del grupo se quejó y ningún miembro del personal preguntó cuál era el problema o envió al chef fuera o algo así. Pocos otros grupos reservaron también que sabíamos y dijeron exactamente lo mismo. La comida era terrible. No volveré a ir.

Beautiful building inside and out, and food was very good, service excellent. Thank you! Nice location for walks too so hopefully will return.

Lovely cafe. Currently only open outside, which was great as we sat in the sunshine enjoying our Egg & Bacon rolls which were delicious; thank you.

Terrible atención al cliente. Uno de los servidores (el más antiguo) se equivocó de orden y fue tan grosero. Ella se negó a admitir que podía estar equivocada y terminó insultándome. Evitar a toda costa. La vergüenza al lado está cerrada.

Excellent venue for events, I can't comment on the rooms, service or the food as I set up for a party but the staff were very friendly. It has a split level stage area lost if seating.

This is a great spot to stop at after depending Horseshoe Pass. Especially if the driver doesn't like heights! Well worth a visit.

Pedí pescado sin gluten y patatas fritas, pero llegó duro como una roca y obviamente demasiado cocido. Llamé y dijeron que no podían cocinarse demasiado ya que la cocción estaba programada. ¡Me dijeron enfadada que los trajera de vuelta y claramente no estaban contentos con que los llamara! Les dije que les enviaría fotos por correo electrónico, lo cual hice, pero aún hoy no he tenido respuesta.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the evening meal and breakfast was after reading poor reviews. There were 6 of us including two under 6s. One of our grandchildren celebrated his 4th birthday and the staff made a big fuss over him by presenting him with a cake and singing happy birthday. All 6 meals were of a good quality and breakfast had plenty of choice to please everyone. Well done the staff.

Sort out your times and when you close. Website states 21.30 I arrived at 20.30 and closed

Called here several time and found the Best Fish and Chips for miles everyone should call here won't be disappointed with the meals
