Went with friends for a light lunch, looking for a new venue for us to meet once a month. The staff were unfriendly and not really bothered. We went upstairs as we were a group of seven and were absolutely frozen, even though we left our coats on! The food was mediocre and we will not return. Unfortunately I cannot think of any positives.

Booked a table here for the first week of Sunday Lunch. We chose The Junction as it is dog friendly and that is a big plus for us. We ordered the garlic mushrooms starter which was a very tasty dish served with bread. For mains we had Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding which came with roast potatoes, parsnips and side of 3 vegetables and cauliflower cheese. Everything was well cooked and delicious. More than enough for both of us. The dessert of raspberry and apple crumble was also delicious served with custard, perfect. A great meal in a relaxing atmosphere! We will be back.

It's in a very convenient location near a car park and a view of the sea (if you choose to sit outside). The service is good and the staff are friendly. The coffee is ok and limited. They do not offer a take away option. I've had meals there which are tasty but find it a bit pricey for what you get. They have a good selection of cakes and treats which compliment any hot drink. A good place to gather with a few friends as they offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

This is a beautiful cafe with inside and outside seating near a water play area and park for the kids. Stunning views of the bay and shaded tables available. Unfortunately we moved from outside because of the wasps but that’s the British summer!! We had the beer battered fish and chip special and it was delicious!! Generous portion and yummy tartare sauce. Perfectly served with a dressed salad also. Our three year old destroyed the sausage, chips and beans children’s meal and it was a good size portion with a proper sausage!! Perfect location, amazing food, reasonable price and friendly staff. Only issue was there were too many cake choices and I wanted them all even though I was stuffed!

Came for a quick bite and a coffee, have visited the junction many times before and always been impressed. The tables outside were quite dirty - needed proper wiping, food on the floor. We had a chicken sandwich which was lovely, but the milk in the cappuccino was not frothed at all. Hoping it’s just due to the summer holidays and having seasonal workers

Situated by the Lido on the Mumbles Road, with reasonable all day parking opposite, this venue offers a varied menu to suit all tastes, is dog friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating. My friend and I enjoyed their salad special of the day and we both agreed it was the best ever. Especially when you can enjoy the view over Swansea Bay as a bonus, while you eat. We'll be back.

Called in whilst cycling. The location is second to none,on the cycle path from Swansea to Mumbles. I ordered poached eggs on sourdough toast and an americano. The americano was really nice and the breakfast OK. Not sure if it was sourdough toast though. It was a roll cut in two and very light. The poached eggs were good. The weather was great so I sat outside and enjoyed some sun.

We are very frequent visitors to Swansea and find it impossible to walk passed The Junction without calling in.Needless to say the venue lends itself to sitting outside on a sunny day but it is also cosy inside during the Winter months. The service is excellent. The young people working at The Junction are a prime example of how professional you can be in your work if you wish to succeed. The team [led by Jack] can not be more obliging and couple their approach with a good sense of humour. There is a wide selection of hot and cold drinks and the prices provide good value. My own present, personal favourite is the Peroni on draught. The food is very tasty and we are always making a mental note of what we are going to order next time when others are being served. With fingers crossed, the weather is looking fine for the forthcoming Airshow.Sunday lunch for us and friends will be at The Junction with the Red Arrows flying above.

The food we did order tasted good, however, the menu is fairly limited. We sat outside and ordered a potion of chips for the little one, Welsh rarebit and a sausage and bacon bap. The bap was seriously overpriced for 2 bacon and one sausage cut in half in chibbatta bap. The Welsh rarebit was served on a piece of wood... What in the world possessed them to do this when we were sitting outside? The wood was far too small and inappropriate. Chips were served in a miniature fryer... Again why? Add sauce... it just seeps out of the mesh. Overall a mixed bag, nice food but overpriced and trying to be fancy in the wrong location.

The blueberry muffin was void of taste, for someone who bakes and sells muffins and cupcakes on a regular basis I would be embarrassed and ashamed to serve that to the public. It had been defrosted for sale, you could roll the entire muffin up into a ball. Definitely would not recommend

Received the order to find that the burger consisted of two large mushrooms and some cheese, not really a burger at all. This for £9. Fancied an iced coffee after a hot Parkrun and bike ride one Saturday morning. The weather was beautiful and incredibly hot - as it has been for weeks. When I went to order, the staff told me that they didn’t do iced coffee. I could have a hot coffee and they could give me a glass of ice on the side, but not an iced coffee. How odd! Thinking about it, I could’ve just asked for a shot of espresso, a glass of cold milk, and a glass of ice on the side. All would’ve cost the same as a normal hot latte and I could’ve made it myself at the table . I ended up with a bottle of sparkling water and espresso. My son had a glass of coke but neither the water nor the coke came with any ice. The coffee was very nice though.

It seems acceptable these days to overcharge for everything when you have a good vantage point and the junction is no exception. As The Junction is within walking distance from my home, it is one of my go-to cafes so have visited several times within the last couple of months. Since its recent management changeover, the menu is quite different from before and although it looks very good I just haven't yet managed to get past the soups! There is usually a choice of 3 soups on offer and the ones we have tried so far are butternut squash, coconut and chilli, cauliflower and Manchego cheese, Manchego and blue cheese, butternut squash and sweet potato, carrot and coriander and celery and blue cheese - it is SO hard to pick a favourite, they are all stunning! The accompanying breads are delicious too - always warm and range from oat bread to mini wholemeal loves and ciabattas. Have also tried a couple of the chocolate brownies - very impressive too. I made a note to self to try the burger which looked delicious and the breakfasts...........and then continue to work my way through the rest of menu!! Highly recommended.

Not really a criticism just a request! There is a paddling pool outside which was surprisingly busy considering it was 15 degrees outside and also a playground. The slate on the bar clearly states "feel free to ask about any allergies". I took my boyfriend (who has a peanut allergy) to simply get a salmon and cream cheese bagel. Nothing difficult about that. There is very little if not nothing that has peanuts on the menu, yet when I asked about the allergen menu they said "there's no point. Could be nuts somewhere in the kitchen - I wouldn't risk it. That just tells me that:a) they can't be bothered to make a simple bagel away from the mysterious 'nuts' they claim to have aroundb) the kitchen is not clean - all you have to do is wipe down the surfaces! I like this place. It's well situated with lovely views across the bay to Mumbles. You can sit outside in the 'sun' and enjoy the sounds of happy children playing in the Lido. We decided to have lunch there. The menu is very tempting if a little expensive, and they offer gluten-free bread if you prefer for the sandwiches. I decided on Welsh cheese and chutney with an accompanying salad. It was okay, but there was too much sweet chutney so I could not actually taste the cheese. A shame as I was more interested in the cheese than the chutney. Oh well, I'll take a picnic next time and hope to find one of the nearby picnic tables empty. :)

I'm a regular customer, coffee is always excellent as is the food. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Dogs are made very welcome in the outside seating area, but are not allowed indoors, fair enough. The cafe is in an old electricity substation which provided power for the Mumbles Railway, this gives it a lot of character but does mean that space inside is quirky and can be inconvenient for big pushchairs etc. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

We always used to come here as a treat- not the cheapest but felt the standard of the food was excellent -more a place for an evening meal. We went there today and were really disappointed. The meal was expensive but the standard was very poor. My husband ordered a ploughmans-which we returned. The cheese portion was minute, with a tiny amount of pate and a couple of slices of ham. The price they charged was far too high- especially when you consider that its main clientelle is families enjoying the Lido at Blackpill. We will not be returning for meals in future

We managed to get a table outside that was easy to access with a wheelchair. There are disabled toilets with baby changing facilities but nowhere to change larger disabled children wearing pads. Although there is space to get a wheelchair and a carer into the toilet so if they can transfer to the toilet then there is adequate space for that. The menu has a selection of rather unusual choices - think bagels with humous and chorizo - which wasn't ideal for some of the children in our party. I enjoyed my salad with goats cheese and walnut though. The staff were helpful, service was good and the price was reasonable.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the food. Good standard. Unfortunately the manager completely ruined our experience of this place. Lots of children running around in swimsuits and bare feet. My daughter was coming into the cafe to find me and she (at 6 years of age) didn't see the notice stating shows must be worn inside the cafe. As I turned to speak to my daughter on her approach to me, the manager started pointing and shouting extremely loudly at my daughter for not having any footwear on inside the cafe. My daughter left the cafe shaking and in absolute floods of tears and I stood there aghast. Witnesses could not believe how appalling her behaviour was. I have never experienced such rude and nasty behaviour from a manager supposedly providing a public service. Nasty woman. Shame as it was a nice cafe but will never go there again. NEW MANAGER NEEDED!!!!!

Breakfast of hot bacon butties, plus a full English - erm, well Welsh, were beautifully cooked, good ingredients and generous. Coffee good, too. Smiley staff eased us nicely into the day. Loved the attitude to child visitors, with toys and books ready in a cutely decorated corner. Immediately outdoors is also great for families, because the children's park there has various apparatus for play. And then, of course, there's the beach and sea, stretching far to the distance and undiluted views to the Mumbles pier. Will go again when in Swansea.

First trip this summer to one of our favourite lunch venues. Friendly team of staff, great choice of food on specials board. I had delicious chicken club sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and husband had chicken tangine with rice and chips. Drinks at reasonable prices and good range on offer. Lots of yummy cake on offer and Joes ice cream, perfect.

Called in yesterday with my Grandson. Sunny day so we sat outside. He ordered childs burger and chips and I ordered the mixed bean salad and paid extra for chorizo. Menu said it contained sun dried tomato, I explained to the lady taking my order I cannot eat tomato and she said no problem and wrote on the form "no tomato" waited quite a while for the food then when it came my food looked lovely but had tomato!!!! I went back inside, leaving my grandson outside alone! and spoke quietly with a lady who said" no problem I will come and collect it" within 2 minutes an older lady with black hair marched out and said in a very loud voice " are you the one who complained about the tomatoes" I said I was and she snarled "they're not tomatoes, they're peppers!!!" And banged my plate down on the table!!! I was very shocked!!! I didn't argue. My grandson ate his burger and I removed all the sun dried tomatoes from my meal and left them on the bread plate, hopefully the chef will recognise them as such when my meal was returned uneaten and remember what they look like for future reference. Not wanting to suffer the wrath if the harridan again, we will not be returning and certainly will not be recommending any of our friends visit there.

Many times on our weekly walk have stopped at junction for refreshments.Today we ordered as a group with one person ordering for us all. Part order came out but no latte arrived it seemed that it was being taken to another table to a gentleman behind us in the queue. When this was pointed out to the young girl she started to bring latte to our table only to be screamed at by I presume the manager and told that latte was for the gentleman not us. When our latte eventually arrived it was not as that one served in a tall latte glass but in a small tea mug for which the charge was £2.50 definitely not good service and very overpriced. One tea stop to be crossed off our list

The food was alright but a bit pricey by local standards. Excellent views of Swansea Bay from the first flooor, when it is open. You can sit outside when the weather permits. It has character, being a converted railway station.

Well-located on the sweep of Swansea Bay and right next to the popular children's lido. After a walk down the Clyne Valley path provides a welcome break with friendly staff. Dogs not allowed inside but if the sun is shining plenty of outside seating and with a warming hot drink not a problem. Sit and enjoy the views!

Really enjoyed the visit. Ordered the falafel salad which was gorgeous!! Fresh, vibrant salad and tasty falafels served with toasted ciabatta and houmous. Mum ordered the mixed(ham, cheddar and pate) Ploughman's which was lovely. My daughter opted for the toasted bagel cheese burger and chips which was a hefty portion. All the food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely pay another visit.

Good home cooked food, served in the old station. We came on a busy Sunday and were served promptly. Lots of families with small children and a lively atmosphere as a result. Staff were great. Cant understand the negative reviews.

We have eaten here a number of times and have never had a naff meal. We are veggies and one of us is not too keen on cheese (most places always seem to think veggies live on cheese- we don't). Portions are large and well presented. We have always found the staff to be polite. Lovely area to eat outside facing the sea when the weather is good.

Ordered a meal at this kebab house at 8.13pm Called 1.5 hours later only to be fed lots of lies about delivery driver delivered food to the wrong house Eventually had food delivered more than 2 hours after order was placed They gave me a bottle of orange for my trouble Bit of a joke really if they think that would keep me happy Food looked like it had been thrown into the box in one big rush salad didn't seem very crunchy My only advise to anyone ordering from this place is READ THE BAD REVIEWS FIRST before you order to avoid the pending disappointment Even if the food tasted good which unfortunately it didn't It came way too late to enjoy it Shop owner didn't seem to care as he already had my money I WILL NOT dare order from this place again I may as well just throw my money at a big bag of sweets and waste my money in a delicious way

We called in for a drink one afternoon. The place was almost empty, as indeed it seems to be the majority of the time. The place is well furnished and roomy but lacks atmosphere. Not for me.

Fish was ok but no bigger than the other ones in the heater unit, soggy chips were ok. This is the most expensive fish/chips/curry sauce /battered sausage I’ve ever had. Friendly staff but £26.40 was not worth the cost.
