Beware those tight fisted company charge you for extra gravy .99p they dribble a drop on your meal they then charge you for extra. When you are paying £50.00 for meals you do not expect to then pay extra for a shot of gravy. On top it's not even real gravy it's joking made up with water and granules A charge that is not listed in their menu in the first place

We went there for our Christmas party and we had to send the food from the Christmas menu back multiple times as it was cold and some of the “trimmings” that were supposed to be on the plate were missing and there was no organisation from the manager on duty. I left something there the week prior and was told it would be kept safe in the office so when I picked it up, no one knew anything about it and when it was eventually found, it was left by the bar to be damaged by spillages etc. when I brought these concerns to the manager on duty, she said well the Christmas menu has only been out for 2 days so what do I expect and said about the photo, ok what do you want me to do about it, it’s your fault for leaving things here.

Christmas Dinner-arrived at our alloted time for the Christmas dinner. When we went up to the carvery to get our main staff were loading-up their own plates. There were a number of items that were cleaned-out by staff as we were standing there. We asked if they would replenish those items and we were told that they had run-out and they would not be replenished (Yorkshire Puddings, mashed potatoes, carrots, parsnips). The menu was advertised as 'including a glass of fizz on arrival' which was not provided. The starter Camembert En Croute came with toast rather than a bread roll as described on the menu. The quality of what we did have was poor. We asked the staff if they had take-away containers for dessert as we just wanted to go home due to disappointment. They said they couldn't provided these so we resigned to staying for the dessert course. The staff member who cleared our plates from the main asked how the meal was, we were honest about our disappointment and the staff member said she'd get her manager to speak to us. The manager was very combative when we were honest about our experience. We were shocked at the way the manager spoke to us. Four of our group have worked in food service (two at a managerial level) and said they'd be discplined if they spoke to customers the way she did. She said that 'the way the carvery works is that more is brought out when it is empty' but we had asked two staff members if they could replenish the items but they said they had run out and would not (shortly after loading their own plates to take away) and they did not replenish the items the whole time we were there (1.5 hrs). She also said 'what do you expect me to do', as a manager we would have thought she would have known how to resolve complaints with customers. Eventually we got to the point of a partial refund, altough it still doesn't make-up for our time, missed family enjoyment and the poor experience. The only redemming part was the politeness and friendliness of the staff-member working at the bar who is an example of good customer service.

Lovely cosy atmosphere, lovely food and drink too.

Poor standard of food and service, Main meal arrived seconds after starter plates were removed, indicating that the mains had been sat on the warmer too long! In fact I think they must have been stood around the curbed waiting with them! I’ve never seen a piece of chicken that looked like the leather sole of a boot?! sadly it tasted the same as it looked! Bar staff not on the case… three staff behind the bar, one serving and two milling about putting one or two glasses on the shelf and ignoring customers who were clearly waiting!! Had to ask to be served! 🤷🏻‍♀️ unbelievable that bar staff are just not trained in the art of customer service any more.

awful, lunch is served between 12 and 6. we went for sunday dinner. our time slot was 3.45pm. there was no gammon available no swede, no roasties and we had to wait so long for gravy that my dinner went cold and it wasnt that hot to start with. god help someone coming in at 5pm!

A very average mixed grill with two boiled eggs, out of 3 meals only one egg anywhere runny, it's a shame lots of places ruin a meal like this.

Good value meals, friendly staff and good location. Meal warm but not very hot, but the food was tasty, the Bonus card is a very good incentive to visit regularly. Worth a visit. I wish they would warm plates as this would help keep the food hotter!! Took our grandson and the girl in the soft plate area was really helpful and helped us a great deal with him.

Absolutely disgusting treatment and disgusting food for £10 I’m disgusted I wouldn’t even have paid £5 for breakfast. It was oily, and the bacon was dryer than Gandhi's flip-flops and the eggs were watery and overcooked. Also, the blond manager openly disrespected a customer who had called to see if there was any availability on 22/9/24 after the phone call, she was heard by me and my group slating the potential customer to other colleagues. DO NOT GO HERE EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK

Food was excellent! Great value meals. Really disappointing dirty toilets. Out of 3 cubicles, one had bits of toilet roll strewn all over, including over the toilet bowl. The second cubicle's toilet was flushing continuously. I push and prodded at the flush buttons and it eventually stopped, but I hadn't left the bathroom when it had started up again. The third cubicle had a clean(ish) toilet, but the flush button covers were off and you had to push the inside mechanism to flush! When I left the bathroom I did inform two staff members about their state, one of which was saying oh yes that happens and you have to push both buttons together to stop it. I told them I did manage to get it stopped but that it was flushing continuously again by the time I left. They thanked me for letting me know and said would sort it out. A friend visited the toilets about 30 minutes later and they were in exactly the same state! I would understand if they were all very busy, but there were loads of staff just standing around chatting. A few tables were left uncleared for ages after customers had left, with the staff too busy chatting.

We went here for week day meal & it was beautiful, & staff are excellent... But tried the Sunday carvery for the first time, & it will be the last, the veg was cold, & you couldn't cut the beef at all, turkey was nice but didn't warrant the price paid.

Came for dinner after 1st day back at school, absolutely disgusted with the food, we ordered 2 kids meals & 2 adult vegan burgers /chips, all chips were cold. Portions were small on the adult meals. Kids meals we're also cold. Presentation was awful, chef should be ashamed to send them out, won't be returning.

Myself and my wife both ordered the same meal as found very little choice. Ordered smothered platter. I ordered medium rare and my wife medium for steaks. However part of this platter, we should have received a BBQ sauce didn't arrive. Also listed the platter is chicken covered with bacon covered with cheese. Had the cheese but where was the bacon??? That I don't know. Also while eating, the serving got our meals mixed up, only discovered when me wife cut open her steak to reveal a medium rare steak ( a little under cooked ) with blood spilling out . I ordered the medium rare so they even mixed up the order and placing wrong way round. I also noticed that another member of staff clearing up the table next to us , well removing the dirty dishes, leaving two sets of cutlery used! The member of staff just wiped the table down and replaced the other 4 sets ready for another table setting of 6. Couldn't believe it. Below, the reviews are asking what meals I'd recommend, none!!

Just a rainy afternoon letting my little one blow off some energy had a couple of drinks and the famous Cadbury dessert along with the brownie unfortunately the brownies were a little over done but our server was more than happy to replace them with some ice cream we were very happy with the service we received thank you all

We went for Sunday lunch. It was cold, and not a lot of veg on offer. The man carving the meat was lovely. Staff are very friendly, there is an indoor soft play area for children but it's unmanned. We had food from there on a week day, and it was lovely 😍. I'm not sure we will be going for Sunday lunch again.

Soggy batter on fish, left most of the meal. Told staff but wasn’t offered an alternative or apology

Disappointed yet again, four separate visits and each time an issue. Previous occasions told not enough staff in the kitchen and having to slow down meal service and today, unable to enjoy my birthday meal, which was booked, as when we got there, no hot water (I did wonder why the car park was empty) However, no phone call to let us know ahead of time and save us the journey and fuel and time. Awful service for a chain of this size. If you are reading this, head across the roundabout to the Copper Pot, always a great welcome and service and food are spot on every time.

So slow at the bar. Staff should learn to prioritise serving customers over restocking the fridge. Seems they like to knock off early on a Sunday evening too. Arrived at 2130 to find the staff standing around chatting and told me they were closed.

Stayed in Swansea for a week working, had meal deal as I was staying in the Premier Inn next door. Food was to a good standard and the service was really good. Never waited that long between courses even though they were busy. Breakfast was also good in the morning and it's buffet style.

where do I start, we only came here to see the play area as the kids drive us crazy when we go to a normal restaurant. The play area is only 3 pounds per child and you can eat at peace without stressing about children running around the restaurant... surprisingly, we tried the food and it's absolutely delicious. Every curry is honestly a solid 8/10, katsu I'll give it. 9/10 next up I must try the lasagne as apparently it's heavenly!! Recommend this place for anyone that enjoys good food as honestly the chef does not miss regardless to what you order even the burgers a lovely! Kids will love it here and if you don't fancy being around children the kids are locked away in a looney room for them to play and scream so you can eat peacefully in a another part of the restaurant and enjoy the fantastic cuisine if you don't fancy joining the nut house lol

All you can eat breakfast was good. Good value for money and tasty. The pain au chocolate are delicious and fresh. The only downside are the sausages, although not the worst I've had, they have very tough skins and an almost smoked taste to them which I can imagine is quite divisive.

Although it was not busy we still waited almost 10 minutes to be shown to a table. 1 member of staff saw us and walked away not even acknowledging that we were there. Service was slow as only 1 person was serving on the bar & 1 waiting tables. The food was acceptable but nothing to write home about. The tellies were on for the Euros without sound, but the noise from the kids would have drowned it out anyway.

Most of are food come out differnt times and when I complained about being over charged for 2 slices of garlic bread and told unfortunately we don't set the prices from the manager I won't be returning or recommending eating here again

Connor and his hardworking team are doing a magnificent job whilst slightly understaffed. If there were one more member of barstaff alongside the charismatic and efficient Liam... then everything would have been golden.

I was at Swansea Vale Brewers in the company of some work colleagues and we had breakfast - simple and delicious. The ambience is calm and relaxing. But I couldn't take pictures

It's one of these restaurants where the staff obviously don't want to work here. The 1st night at dinner things off the menu. At breakfast I had a dirty fork presented as clean and when handing it back for a new one was given attitude. They ran out of bowls and when one asked for some the same woman brought some out and slammed them down so hard I thought they would break.

Looked on google to see local open places for breakfast brewers fayre stated it was open go there and doors locked and didnt answer phones even though you could reserve a table for any time that it stated it was open for. Would have loved to have tried their unlimited breakfast

Some staff nice but one man think his name was Conor made me feel uncomfortable as soon as we walked in, asked could we go in the play area for children was told we wouldn’t be allowed food it closes at 7 this was quarter past 6 we explained we didn’t won’t food just a drink and little play for my son he just grunted and said okay made me feel so anxious about being in the kids area we came out of there about twenty two, sat in the restaurant area to be told when my partner was getting a drink that after that we would not be served as we had a child utterly humiliated as if we were some drunken idiots who couldn’t look after our child baring in mind we’d been there about an hour it was one drink and there were 2 of us and we were driving plus to be stared at as we were leaving by him he literally had me shaking would never ever visit again.

Visited last week with the grandchildren, soft play was great for them as raining outside and the staff one in particular were very good, however probably the worst food I have ever had out, jacket potato looked like it had been reheated several times it had dried out and the skin was black at the bottom so hard tge knife and fork couldn't penetrate it, the chilli beef that should have come with it was virtually non existent on top of that the popcorn chicken kids meal the chicken was so over cooked that it had no moisture left in it at all, the grandkids love popcorn chicken but wouldn't eat those, we will return for soft play but will never ever eat the food again.

The hotel is as all Premier Inn's. Comfy, clean. Smelt stale though. The real problem is their Brewers Fayre restaurant. I booked on arrival at the hotel but getting to the restaurant, found I was offered a table in the middle of a queue of people. There were literally two rows of people either side of this table, waiting to give their orders to the bar. I asked for a different table but was told there wasn't one. I pointed to the ten or so tables to my left and was advised they were bar tables. I asked if they could be used for food and was told no. They were next to the restaurant tables and were the same as the restaurant tables, but the computer says no! Manager was rude and dismissive. I recommend the fish and chip shop across the road. Great food, lovely staff.

Reasonable price and get a nice portion size however food came out not that hot chips were all round on 5 peoples orders only slightly warm

We were staying at the premier inn next door so visited on both evenings. We would have gone elsewhere the second night but due to the lack of anywhere else nearby we didn’t really have much choice. The food was good and pretty much as expected at a brewers fayre. It was tasty and the service was good. The staff delivering the food were all friendly and pleasant too. The bar, on the other hand, was a different story. We ordered a bottle of rose prosecco, there was none available. We had a pint of strongbow, it had to go back as it had no fizz at all. The second one was a little better but poor quality. A pint of lager had to go back too as the quality was very poor. There were a number of gin cocktails on the drinks menu. Every time we ordered one the staff behind the bar looked blank and we had to fetch a menu so they knew what they were doing. We decided to order a bottle of wine. The wine was well chilled and available. Unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for the wine glasses…..on both nights we were told they had ran out of wine glasses and would a gin glass be ok..? On questioning the lackof glasses we were met with a shrug. Surely washing up a few wine glasses wouldn’t take very long..? The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy on either night so it wasn’t like they were being used by guests. It’s a shame as the only option for a drink and a meal when using the premier inn.

Went for breakfast. The restaurant was clean and tidy. No very many customer, but that could have been because of the time of day. Toast was awful as you had to put it through the toaster twice and then it burned. The breakfast itself was not to bad. There was no hot food so we had to wait for that to be cooked. Then the spoons were so hot that I burned my hand on one of them. The fruit was awful. In my experience a total waste of time and money.

Here for a business meal and very disappointed. Wait was extensive, bar staff pleasant. Had rump steak for main and the chips were severely greasy, the steak which I had cooked medium was extremely tough that I couldn't eat half of it. Lady came and collected my plate and even though I had left half of my meal I was never asked how was it for you. Poor customer service and not overly busy. Desert served with a dirty spoon. Not holding much hope for breakfast at all! Would not recommend

Well what can I say....the food was boring and bland the chips were cold....we had to ask the staff 3 times to clear the table before bringing mains out....the meat platter was a joke....the gammon chicken and steak had been cut into 3 pieces and shared between 3 people 🙄...the toilets absolutely disgusting and smelly....went to the bar to order a drink and my glass had lipstick on and the young lad serving said shall I wipe it off for you....I was absolutely gobsmacked....will never go here again

Called lunch time ordered two sirloin steak meals one well done one medium to well. Both cooked to perfection quantity and quality A1 Staff very accommodating and helpful Prices reasonable

A frequent stop off when visiting Swansea. Food is always a good standard and prices are very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful where possible. If you want a good feed without trekking into the town centre, this place is worth a visit.

Don't really know what to say, food was freezing, overpriced, and very poor quality. I had katsu curry, which was very poor quality chicken nuggets! Absolutely disgusting, Don't know how the place is still open

Made an online booking 5 days before the meal, on arrival they had no record of the booking and they couldn't fit us in. A wasted trip of 26 miles round journey. Why do they offer online bookings when it clearly doesn't work 🤔

Me, my wife and toddler called for food on Sunday evening at 5.15pm. To summarise:- The restaurant was very dirty with chips and old food everywhere just laying on the floors and tables. The staff didn’t clean much in the 90 minutes that we were there. The food was slow to come out. Me and my wife were shocked by how small the starters were. I paid £4.60 for cheesy garlic bread and it was tiny. Just two small pieces that took no more that 20 seconds to eat. The mains were bland and also nothing to be happy about. The refillable drinks have shrunk in glass size which means more trips to get a refill. The whole meal was very sad and I don’t think we will ever call again. This whole restaurant needs improvement.
