Home made food, loved it. Not overly priced, lovely atmosphere, great staff and a great meal. We will be back.

We got here a little early to find our table was already setup and waiting for us, there were a family of 4 we all sat down to enjoy our lunch. The staff promptly took our drinks order which took a few minutes to arrive whilst we were all browsing through the menus. I placed the order. We didn't have to wait to long for the starters to be served. The starters were cleared. The mains followed shortly after, and it was great. Chicken was covered in BBQ/Bacon & loads of cheese, Deep dished Lasagne & a double stacked Burger all served with chips. We were asked several times if all was OK - it was, and drinks orders were taken when needed and arrived within a few minutes as well. I cleared my plate and finished off a few others - and left satisfied.

Went for the Sunday carvery. There was beef, turkey, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, cauliflower cheese, peas, carrots, swede, roast potatoes and gravy. There was not enough gravy in the entire pub to save dry beef and even drier turkey. The carrots had a sour taste and the cauliflower was mushy with not much flavour. The friendly lads serving did give me a huge portion and were very keen to please by giving the exact pieces of meat I asked for. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive but unfortunately because of the quality of the food, we won't go back. There are too many establishments around these days with far better options than to ever go back to this place a second time. Mediocre is just not good enough for a return visit these days.

Went for Sunday Carvery having been advised it was brilliant. The vegetables and potatoes etc are all self service. While I was selecting my veg new produce was brought to the servers and to my disgust tipped straight onto the old stuff. I do find this acceptable, old on new is how it should be done or better still take what’s left in the tins away and place fresh in new serving trays. The gravy was very watery and the swede was cold. If I go anywhere for a carvery and see fresh product put on the old I never return. I would not want to be the one later in the day fishing out and eating old vegetables.

Took my Mother out for lunch to the Millers Arms in Ynystawe.... everything was spot on as usual and she really enjoyed her meal.

My sister and I thought the Sunday carvery (21/7/24) was delicious. Lovely staff and the young man serving us couldn't have been nicer.

A brilliant local pub and restaurant with a fabulous beer garden, top class.

it was my grandson 10th birthday the service was such a long weight then adults and children’s meal came out ten minutes different one adult meal was a wait one member of staff rude i have been coming to this pub for years the chips and rice were ok but a child’s potion as if they had to share you can tell there was no management there will think again of returning

Decent food sensibly priced. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and a nice outside area at the back overlooking the river. Dog friendly.

Sunday lunch. Plenty of food to choose from and friendly staff. The stuffing wasn't to my liking but I've not come across anywhere else providing a carvery who does...nothing beats proper home stuffing. Nicely decorated with sitting area outdoors as an option.

Called last week for an evening meal the fish and chips was awful fish was grey and looked like cheap frozen farm food battered fish not what is advertised for the price The corn beef pie was cold and very stale not fresh should not have been served should have been taken off the menu Like warm gravy Both of us unwell the following day Got told should have complained on night been offered a free replacement meal no thanks.....

It's always been a top pub, great food and not overly modern and not a chain. It's the jewel of the lower Swansea valley but didn't tell too many people. Also now with a great beer garden in summer. Recommends... The landlord curry... Totally unique secret mild sweet curry recipe and also the steak and ale pie good. Also a good vegan burger.

Went with a group of friends for a meal. I ordered the special; Stilton and wild mushroom ravioli that was supposed to have a pesto topping and sauce. When it arrived, there was no pesto topping and the "sauce" was water (as if the pasta had not been drained). They took it back and it returned with melted butter in the water. In all, it had 7 pieces of ravioli for £13.50. That's nearly £2 per piece of ravioli. Despite making my disappointment known, I was not offered any compensation/money off. I ordered a desert of apple crumble with custard. It was really tasty but barely luke warm. Real shame as previous meals have been lovely.

We visited last year and had a fabulous Sunday carvery, which is why we returned. This time was very disappointing. No staff to greet on arrival, had to wait in turn, by a very busy bar, to say that we’d booked a table, until my daughter stopped a member of staff who was walking past. We were told our table was ‘over there’. The whole bar area was rammed with tables full of diners. My husband bought drinks, and returned to our table. We didn’t see any staff, so he returned to the bar, after a while, to ask if we could order food. You have to order Sunday lunch at the bar, where you receive a ticket, and then proceed to the carvery, something we weren’t instructed, or invited, to do. The carvery itself wasn’t very appealing - new potatoes which were partially roasted, and mushy. Lumpy mash, watery cabbage, hard peas, carrots, but the swede was nice. No check-back, we didn’t see another member of staff until we were asked if we’d finished, and could take the plates. No idea if there were desserts available, as we weren’t offered a menu. Had to queue again, at the bar, to pay the bill. £55 for three standard carveries, two alcoholic, and one soft drink. There are many establishments, in the area, which offer Sunday lunch, so we won’t be rushing back here unfortunately.

Food portions were ginormous! The food was good, not the best but for the price and portions definitely would go back. Lovely seating area outside, staff were lovely as well.

Friendly atmosphere, amazing staff who were very friendly, professional and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We ordered lasagne, hunters chicken and fish and chips. Chicken and lasagne were delicious. The fish and chips however were not. Fish was grey and dry and the chips did not appear or taste fresh. I left most of the meal. I should have sent it back. I did ask that the chef be told, but disappointed that I had no feedback.

A nice place ,but needs better menu nice atmosphere

Our first visit to this little gem. The pub was lovely and clean with plenty of room. The car park at the rear is ideal as it is located on a busy road. The food was delicious and obviously home made and reasonably priced. Staff were great and very welcoming. We can't wait to return especially to sit the beer garden.

A great village pub and restaurant, owned and run by fantastic people. A great place to take the family or have drinks with good friends.

First time back here this evening since it has reopened, reserved a table no staff to greet us, approached the bar and noticed our table and asked it was reserved for us (young girl replied if it has your name on then yes) it was literally inches away from the bar and very uncomfortable when people are waiting to be served and carrying drinks around you, there were lots of spare tables around and the back room was empty, staff were quite unhelpful we hadn't finished eating yet and was asked if we had finished , food was nice but we won't be returning we weren't even asked if every was OK with our meals or to see if we wanted desserts, not even an acknowledgement as we got up to leave

The Millers Arms is a wonderful cosy venue with a great selection of beers and good quality, freshly cooked food. I would recommend it for all occasions.

It was reasonably quiet when we went. Food was good and plentiful.

Warm friendly and Sunday lunch is absolutely beautiful made.

First walked in a was nervous but staff was lovely and even the people dining or drinking there were lovely too! Helpful staff when we asked questions and welcomed our dog too. Have a pub or restaurant bit which is nice to get away from noise if you have a baby or dog. The desert was super amazing! Very thick custard 🍮 enjoyable for drinks or last minute date night food out. Happy that my dog was welcomed and well fussed by staff and other customers

Met here with friends for some food. I ordered the pasta arrabiata and it was awful. The pasta sat in a swamp of water and the pasta itself was so overcooked it was just mush. Worst pasta dish I have had out. My friend had the garlic chicken and she said it was dry. Nice & friendly service.

I have to say I have always loved the millers curry and was looking forward to going today both my friend & I knew what we were having straight away, but it was awful & the chips looked as if they had b cooked many times over the week. I will not be going back so disappointing, curry & chips there was top of my list

What a homely wonderful pub everything is right about this place and easy parking to the rear. We have had 2 lovely meals there and staff are great.

Christmas Eve carvery for all the family. They catered for both large and small appetites as well as standard sizes. Super welcoming management and staff, all in the Christmas spirit. Beautifully decorated for the festive season and we weren't rushed to finish and leave like some other establishments do. Food (carvery) was fabulous...plentiful and hot. Choice of turkey or beef plus all the main veg/gravy. Can't fault and will return. One tip...Maybe off the option of paying for a Christmas cracker per head next Christmas weekend? Either way, thank you and Merry Christmas to all the staff at the Millers. See you in the new year.

Had our Christmas Dinner last night, very disappointed mash potatoes were lumpy, roast potatoes were like bullets and the stuffing well it was rock hard . But the beef was lovely won't be rushing back

Excellent buffet although we went there for a funeral. Staff were brilliant and very understanding would highly recommend. Very clean and tidy and made to feel at home. Thanks all at the Millers

Over £5 for a pint of coke and a pint of soda water with blackcurrant, daylight robbery! Service was a bit slow due to only 1 person doing any work, the others seemed to be having a break.

Used to be very nice,back last year,we went here for lunch twice week,even xmas lunch was lovely, but since they put up the menu ,2 courses for £12.50, the food not so good, went there few times this year food not so nice,chicken very dry,skimpy positions now

this friendly village pub has been revamped and taken back on with delyth and steve who previously made big success here but moved on to other things the pub closed years later and they bought it back and have redone everything inside their food is beautiful their sunday carvery is so tasty we tend to get take out . we order it on saturday collect on sunday , the veg is fresh the meat is generous portion, you cant go wrong going here for food

Lovely old pub with delicious food which is if a reasonable price.. Fabulous garden to the pub with parking behind plus a beautiful river running past.

We went for the midweek carvery ,we booked an early lunch so I was surprised to see that the carvery looked less than freshly cooked . Unfortunately my first impressions were correct the roast pots had been reheated and the meat was dry We have had several bar meals at this pub which have been fine ,but I cannot recommend the midweek carvery

very friendly amazing carvery they do take out also on sundays we have picked up our dinners we love it because its absolutely nicer than anything we can do ,simply order in advance by phone then hubby collects

Haven't been there for years, but now reopened it was great. Food was superb as was the service. Lovely atmosphere all credit to Delyth.

Lovely area outdoors for having a drink or food, food was a little pricy for what was a frozen meal, we had fish & chips probably wasn't worth more than £7.00.

Visited for a midweek meal with some friends. Good food and reasonable prices. Recommended

My friend and I visited for a Sunday roast. We had to book as it is such a popular spot for food. We managed to book a table and I have to say it was a well overdue roast dinner having not had one in a while. It is a buffet service once you have chosen your meats. There is a good selection of meat and it was cooked to perfection. The only thing I would say is that when it is busy you feel almost rushed to pile the rest onto your plate and can wait a while depending on who’s in front of you. All in all, it was a nice roast. Would visit again sometime.

Ate in Millers several months ago and was really impressed. Took friends there then for evening meal, same thing very impressed with meals. Ate there today so different. Starter Garlic Mushrooms. Couldn't cut through bread base, watery sauce and mains Chips cold and tasteless. As well as Kiev over cooked! Very disappointed today. Last time piping hot, real chips and served beautifully. Voiced to anyone who'd listen as to how lovely it was. It's the one bad you remember and it's now not on my revisiting list.

Well, I have to say probably the most awful Sunday roast I have ever had in my life... For starts the mashed potato wasn't even mashed is was still all hard inside, the roast potatoes were absolutely gross, tasted and felt like they have been cooked the day before and warmed back up in the microwave. It was ordered over the phone for collection stating we wanted it HOT. and it was cold. Also told them on one dinner we wanted just peas and carrots no other veg. Young girl on the phone must have thought a Yorkshire pudding was a vegetable because when we got home we were missing one of them too, no stuffing and really watery gravy 🤢 on collection we were waiting 20 minutes for it to be given to us when we arrived for 1.30pm the time agreed over the phone. Honestly just a absolute shambles and such a disappointment. Didn't end up eating it, went straight in the bin. What a waste of good money. Will not be recommending to anyone in the future.

I was disappointed with the carvery meal today as the food was not very hot. There were no roast potatoes or peas available at the time I was being served, but people in our party was able to get some when they went up later for their food. They should be replenishing the food as it gets low. The temperature on the food also needs to be checked. I have previously worked in catering, and I am fully aware of hospitality catering standards. The staff serving were very helpful and curtious. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed and I would visit again.

Great place for a family get-together.

Cozy nice decorated pub. The beer (coor) on tap was warm and so was the heineken from the fridge. While ordering you could here someone throwing smth and swearing from the kitchen. We waited 45min for our food, only 4-5 other guests. The burger was really disappointing. It was nnot made there it was a chewy hard factory burger, the cheese was a big hard lump, the burger sauce was missing, the chips were tasteless and floury. My daughter's garlic chicken was tasteless, the sauce just cream and the same sas chips. The coleslaw was dry on top. Although we were very hungry, we could not eat the food. No one came to ask if the food was ok, so for the first time in my life I took the food back and asked for half the money back. The waiter took the food to the kitchen, from which loud angry screams began to be heard. The waiter came back and looked distressed, returned some of the money. The staff probably tried their best but were not professionals, the chef seems to hate his job was scary and rude. I have never seen anything like this, wouldn't go back.

Delicious food, team seemed young but I have only praise. The two carvers were courteous and very polite despite being flat out. They accommodated two tables for us including one for my daughter and her friends. Booking is essential due to its popularity. Well done all- great job

Met with some friends earlier this evening for a drink with friends. I like dogs but I think it’s unacceptable to have 4/5 dogs all allowed in the bar and lounge /restaurant area . They were barking at each other and all were all sitting all over the seats . One even walked all along the seated area and was trampling over my husbands jacket . This was quite alarming for my friend who is allergic to dogs! I don’t have a dog … I have a cat, but when I have to take my cat to stay in the Cattery I have to show her vet certificate to proof she is vaccinated and treated for fleas, yet tonight I has to sit amongst these dogs not knowing if they have fleas or not and with no sign of staff cleaning the seats after the dogs have been there. That’s not to mention what could be carried into the kitchen area where food is being prepared. As I said before …. I like dogs but there really has to be tougher rules and designated seating areas for people who wish to bring their dogs into pubs and restaurants .

Excellent Visited with a coach party of 50 plus persons .Carvery was the order for all Great assortment of veg all cooked to perfection Cauliflower cheese to die foCertainly did not hold bank with meat I had beef tender large portions same went for Turkey great portions. Great selection of beer many for the experts considering the number descending at once all food served scorching hot plates hot to staff went out of way to assist friendly Price very reasonable Thanks

Evening meal on a Tuesday, we expected the pub to be quiet. It was lovely to see the pub reasonably busy. My wife and I ordered food which arrived hot and plentiful. Really tasty beef au poivre. Love the refurb especially the garden. Look forward to next time.

We were visiting our home town from where we live in Ontario Canada. They have a nice atmosphere and good food. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Because of bypasses this is now on a quiet road. The Millers Arms is an older pub that's been renovated. I don't drink but they seemed to be well stocked with a decent selection of beers spirits and wine. On this occasion, five of us ate there and we were all suitably impressed.

This is a pleasant pub but the food is only mediocre and took too long to be served. I could only recommend if you liked very plain food and a long wait.
