The best restaurants in Wales

Really nice staff, incredible food, the best bagel of my life better than the one I had in new York. The hoagies looked incredible I can't wait to go back and get one. Funky spread of Dr pepper flavours. Really good fries as well!!

The best meal I have had in a restaurant ever.... Period. Staff were great, talked me through the traditional dishes . I chose the hanging marinated steak. On the first bite my mouth exploded ! I can not put into words what it tasted like.... You just need to try it. Do not go anywhere else in .... Also brilliant atmosphere, everyone was smiling, chatting and enjoying some of the best food I have tasted in my near 50 years on this planet! Booking is essential I walked in at 6.10 pm and there was one table being served.... Come 6 .30 it was packed ! I challenge you to be disappointed!

I ordered with this restaurant on uber eats. They pretended to deliver my order for over an hour. Then cancelled. Really poor. I can’t speak for the food. I can only speak for the terrible service

Dropped by Old Stores Motorbike Café for the MARK - Motorbikes Acts of Random Kindness charity launch, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to host it. The team was incredibly welcoming and supportive, making sure everyone felt right at home. It’s clear they’re passionate about the biking community and always up for backing a good cause. The food? Absolutely lush—proper, hearty meals that hit the spot after a long ride. But what really made this place stand out was the hidden gem out the back—I won’t spoil the surprise, but it’s definitely worth checking out for yourself! Can’t wait to go back, whether it’s for another event or just an excuse for a ride and a great meal. If you haven’t been yet, put this café on your list—you won’t regret it!

Rare find on our road trip! Worth the slight detour. Friendly staff as well!

The whole vibe here was cool af, I’m not sure if our waiter just didn’t bother to ask how we were doing or if it was intentional like for us to enjoy our meals which we did. He didn’t bother at all which also made the whole experience really pleasant but at some points he was needed but wasn’t anywhere to be found, but the hostess was so nice and quick to find us sitting.

Fantastic food, with fantastic staff, we have been visiting Candles for 10 years and never had a bad experience. We can not recommend it more

The Pentre Arms, as usual was excellent. Great welcome, great food, friendly staff and good standard of accommodation. The only shame about visiting this village is that the so called village shop is NEVER open. It could be such an asset for all, local people and visitors. It looks so scruffy and an eyesore to.the area.

First time visited but definitely won't be the last. I had the tomahawk and the wife fillet and both were fantastic. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. Thank you

The two male owners are the most delightful people; friendly, efficient & welcoming hosts. The ambience is first-class, & breakfast was fantastic. This is a gem. Parking is tricky, but with some jockeying can be accomplished quite easily. We had a brilliant stay there.

Been twice now and had a great time. The staff are amazingly knowledgeable about the (hundreds of) games they have. They have games for all ages, competive and co-op.

They took the money and didn’t deliver…

First time visiting and I had the Saag Wala Chicken and shared a Baji Basket starter. Food was absolutely lovely and lovely service. Will definitely be returning.
