We visited Llanon for the weekend for a bit of r&r.
We visited the pub for Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch. The food and service were lovely, can't wait to return.
We had great breakfast baguettes for takeaway, it gives us energy for hiking and makes our morning before lunch time we head back home.
Would stop by again.
No photo as we devoured our food.
Nom, nom, nom!
Diolch!
Sunday night , we travel when we can to here from Tenby only 74 miles , stay at the Wellington Hotel ( see separate review ) This is the best Indian by a long long shot . Food is amazing . This time it was the best Onion Bhagis as starter followed by for Linzi Handi Lamb Slow cooked lamb in an intense aromatic curry of caramelised onions and yoghurt. Flavoured with mace, cardamon & dry-rose petals. Scented with whole garam masala and for me Chicken Dalwala Small pieces of chicken tikka cooked with fried potatoes, pieces of lemon, selected spices and herbs in a thick lentil sauce, medium strength, very nice and tasty, Chapati for me , Linzi had a Peshawari Naan , and we shared two portions of Pilau Rice , now two days on and I am still saying out a loud " god that was a good meal . Already planning a trip back up to Brecon . We like Sunday night as traffic on the roads quiet and the Sunday in the restaurant also apart from a Vegetarian drunk and her partner we had the staff and restaurant to our selves . It's a shame what alcohol and vegetables can do to some one !!
Back soon love this place did I mention the big portions.
PS
I like a restaurant where they welcome you back with a smile and a nod of exceptantance of welcome back mr Tenby .
Absolutely shocking prices and food!
for a breakfast roll with 1 smashed up egg and half a sausage price £7!!!
I waited 20min for food that looked like s#!t scooped up off the floor and squashed into more s#! I will not be going there every again and I will recommend to everyone I know how awful the food and service is there. I would of sed something at the time however, I’m glad I didn’t as I would not have been able to control my language at the slop I was served.
We had the most amazing day paddle boarding in the sunshine followed by a divine afternoon tea at Arthur’s.
The setting is so beautiful total holiday vibes and it’s right on our doorstep 🙌🏽
The food & service was all fantastic as always, we had the best day 🫶🏽👯♀️
Thank you all for looking after us and making Jems hen day special 🩷
Fantastic evening with family and friends, celebrating Paul's 70 Birthday 🎊🎂. Rhys made us some tasty pizza, the group played and everyone enjoyed themselves 😀 x
Claire, the owner, cooks everything from fresh herself and you can really taste it. Roast potatoes perfectly crisp. 4 different vegetables. Delicious dinner. Very efficient service from the one friendly waitress. Can't wait to come back.
Had a preboooked sunday lunch here with a large number of friends. Food and service were great as usual. They didn't mind us coming in soaked after a long walk, and left us to chill after the meal as well. Recommended.

Needed a last minute buffet for 70 people the next day as had been let down by a pizza company . Owner of the Deli very kindly said she could provide sandwiches and quiches , amazing .everyone commented at the party how lovely the sandwiches and quiches were . Thank you so much
In almost ideal pub up on the Halkyn Mountain with ample parking and a fantastic pint of Guinness. The landlord is very friendly, it was very warm and comfortable inside on a winters night too .
There is a pool table in one of the rooms and the bar is split into what I would know as a Snug and Lounge, both with a large tv for sports and movies and plenty seats and tables.
I would reccomend spending a whole evening and have a chat with the locals. Make sure you know the way back to where you are staying or arrange a lift in advance.
