Lovely friendly staff. Fish and chips perfect.

I've been here a couple of times for chips and curry, fantastic both times, will return!

The food here is amazing! they give you big portions and it's sometimes hard to eat but the staff are very kind and respectful!

Best chippy in Newport and certainly the best on Cardiff Road. The food is always hot and tasty, and the fish in batter is amazing. The ladies behind the counter are always very friendly and the service is second to none. Five stars from Mocha Joe!

Called here on the 21/10/20 at around 12.15 lunchtime. Ordered chips and mild curry sauce in tray. £2.95. Got to my car opened it up and there was a long blonde hair in it!!!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮 YUK!!!! THIS place shouldn't be a 5 for food hygiene!!! Hair nets needed!!! Avoid!!!!!! See pic if you don't believe me

I come from a part of the country which does lousy fish chip.So while in Newport bumped into this fish chip shop. Absolutely top class.All freshly cooked as well.friendly staff as well

Omg the best fish and chips I've ever had

Has the added advantage of being open on a Sunday when it was doing a good trade. Huge choice of Burgers, Pies etc but the Fish & Chips (with mushy peas) was really excellent.

Horrible fish and chips, possibly the worst I have ever had! Had to bin the chips in the end they were revolting and the fish was soggy. Save your money and go elsewhere like Sheppards or Jones Fish Bar.

Go to chip stop in pill instead much better value

I travel to that area to visit family, and the best chips around, always go there.

Cooks fish just how I like it. Crispy rather than swimming in grease.

The chips aren't remotely comparable to nearby Sheppards, which is why we don't go here very often. Fish is fine, though, so we'd be open to using this on Sunday when Sheppards is closed, although for whatever reason we don't tend to.
