An exceptional dining experience! The six-course meal with kombucha pairing was truly unique and well thought out. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the flavor pairings were outstanding—a perfect balance of creativity and taste. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Every bite was a delight, and the kombucha pairings complemented the dishes perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a refined and memorable meal!

We went for a meal with friends who had eaten here several times previously and rated it highly. The menu is quite small and no vegetarian options shown, although when asked there were two options available, veggie curry and cauliflower steak unfortunately neither of which appealed to me personally. I opted for the potato skins starter as a mains instead which was quite tasty but nothing I could wholeheartedly recommend. My meat eating companions chose off the chalkboard menu but were all left feeling slightly underwhelmed, cassoulet, gammon and chicken, none of which they raved about, in fact they were disappointed too as it wasn’t up to previous standards. The concept behind the pub was apparently to recapture the original Victorian feel but it just looked as if it badly needed updating. Staff were very helpful and friendly but without great food I couldn’t rate it any higher.

What a perfect little place. Wonderful and warm hospitality. Truly delicious and authentic food. We very much hope to be back.

Great customer service, good choice & really good meal deal for lunch. Was busy when we arrived, staff got through the orders with good efficiency & helping customers, would definitely go back again or recommend

Ooh eck....blimmin lovely. First time using Mirchi and the dansak was delicious, and the peshwari naan crisp and melts in your mouth 🤤 portions ok. Would like the pilau rice portion to be a little more generous along with a bigger tub of mint sauce. Other than that I'll definitely be back. And 5 star hygiene rating. Lush!

Visitamos este lugar varias veces esta semana, ya que hemos estado trabajando en la zona. Muy limpio van sirviendo desayunos buenos y panecillos. Yo no iría a otro sitio si estoy trabajando en la zona en el futuro, ahora que he estado aquí. Perfecto para obreros y gente de paso, merece una visita!

Ordered an afternoon high tea and a savoury yesterday, the food was lovely plenty of filling in the sandwiches, I phoned to say something was missing from the high tea and in no time it was reckifed , but not just one item they sent more. First class service as always, have ordered Sunday roast dinners for tomorrow which in sure will be excellent thanks royal mail

Was in Newport today for some training and not knowing the area I was unsure where to go for some dinner. Passed this cafe in the arcade and was immediately drawn in. Menu outside had a range of items that caught my eye. Was quiet inside with only two other tables occupied. The decor is very unique and was nice to be somewhere different to the usual “coffee bean” decor. I was quickly served by a lovely lady who provided a menu and took my order when I was ready. I ordered a jacket potato- and it was really nice. Good size, plenty of filling and fresh. Coffee was also nice. Despite me being the only customer in there at the end and being on my own dining I felt so comfortable there. Really nice venue and would like to explore the menu further

I honestly had the most delicious plate of wholesome food. I had a cheesy jacket potato with a selection of salads and Katy brought me a small dish of a date and cashew salad that was to die for. Jacket potatoes simple though they are have to be done right..and this one was! My friend had a delicious bowl of carrot and coriander soup. Perfect. Thank you!

We were visiting Newport and came across this little restaurant. It had a cafe type interior, which wasn’t particularly appealing, but we wanted to try Yemeni food for the first time - especially the lamb. Unfortunately, they had run out of lamb (7pm on a Friday) - hence only 4 stars. However, the food we had was delicious and plentiful. The dessert was amazing. The portions were huge! The young man who served us was friendly and helpful. Everything was freshly cooked and the final cost was amazing value for money. We highly recommend this restaurant and we hope to be back when we are next in Newport to try the lamb.

Absolutely stunning pizzas last night! We had 3 different ones to try and all of them were amazing. Cooked perfectly and so flavourful. If you haven't had the Spoilt Pig yet, go there, today! 😉 Also had The Hulk and a Dirty Pineapple. The guys are really lovely. Give them a ring, place your order and it'll be ready when you get there. You can also just pop by. Highly recommend!

First visit today to Lily’s hideaway and it did not disappoint. We had the savoury and sweet afternoon tea which was amazing and very generous. The staff were fabulous, very welcoming and attentive. The garden area was lovely and there was plenty of shade. Would definitely recommend

Tasted as good as it looked and it looked wonderful. Very friendly and helpful service. My mother was delighted with it.
