A relaxed ambience and attentive staff. Expectations were high with a Ā£78 set menu (3 courses). We both had the pork belly to start which was very tasty and succulent. I had a sirloin and my husband a rump steak for main. These were very disappointing. The sirloin was extremely tough and chewy - almost inedible. I swapped for my husbands rump as this was less chewy but still far from an acceptable standard for the cost of the menu. Very poor quality meat - as it appeared to be cooked as requested (medium rare) - but so hard. My husband had the cheeseboard for dessert - nothing special, akin to what youād pay Ā£7/8 for in a pub. I had the pavlova which was very nice - but again, didnāt really reflect the cost. Overall a very disappointing experience. Ā£185 for the two menus and two Heineken beers. Extortionate - hugely overpriced for the food served.

My partner and I went here for a nice meal out. I had the fish which was sole it was just awful with a white runny sauce and no taste. To be fair they offered me another dish, I had the lamb which was okay but both dishes had no seasoning and was tasteless. Not worth the extortionate prices that are charged

After several days of hotel breakfast we decided to stop in here on our way out of town. Breakfast was as expected. The portions were large. Service was good. One difference from other breakfast places is you could get a piece of coffee cake instead of toast or biscuit with your meal and it was quite good. I ended up bringing it home because I was already too full after eating the other parts of my meal.

This is definitely the best barbecue you will find in this area. Great selection of smoked meats and a good size menu. All the staff are very polite and the service is really good. Definitely didn't come away hungry. You have the option of the meat trays or a wide selection of burgers, the trays are a good size and although this place is more expensive than say TGI fridays the food is much better. I don't mind paying for something that is authentic and not mass market produced and heavily processed. I cant comment on the vegan stuff as thats not my scene. Cocktails are good as well and competitively priced. Excellent really especially the brisket.

So yesterday my baby boy turned 7 years old! ššš We wanted to go for brunch with his family and I recommend that we try a new American Diner in Newport, Smoky's Newport What we had; The Smashed Burger - triple cheeseburger with skin on fries and smoked paprika slaw. Classic hotdog - beef hotdog in a soft bun, with skin on fries Oreo milkshake - nice thick, ice-cream based milkshake with crushed Oreo, whipped cream and chocolate sauce Ham & grilled cheese sandwich - oozing American cheese, ham toasted between fresh sliced white loaf French toast - egg dipped fresh bread and toasted on the grill with maple syrup and powdered sugar Chili cheese fries - skin on fries, beef and red bean chili smothered in melted cheese with jalapeno, sour cream and guacamole So the verdict... All in all they provide fantastic table service, lovely atmosphere and attention to detail. The food was plated well, beautifully cooked and quality was above standard for an overall 4/5 š„ Really recommend stopping in if you are in the area and giving them a try š #diner #food #lunch #restaurant #instafood #foodporn #foodie #dinner #healthyfood #foodlover #yummy #breakfast #foodstagram #pancakes #waffles #foodphotography #delicious #homemade #healthy #cuisine #cooking #love #cafe #instagood #america #usa #route66 #burger #fries #milkshake

Absolutely disgusting. Not even worth 1 star. Food arrived over 1 hour late. Rang to track order, women absolutely clueless. Meat undercooked and a slobbery mess. Fries were stone cold. Ā£35 worth of food ended up in the bin. Vile!

We came here for afternoon tea which was amazing. Instead of the traditional sandwiches it consisted of a caramelised onion sausage roll, cheese and ham croquette, avocado halloumi and chili jam bap and a pulled pork bun. Unlimited hot drinks as well as your iced lattes. Service was excellent by all members of staff especially Rhys who couldnāt do more for us. One person couldnāt make it so he boxed it up for us and offered a takeaway drink as well. Thank you for an excellent experience and we would definitely come again!

Popped in for a drink and a bite to eat with my mum yesterday, we both had the mozzarella and tomato panini, it was alright, not fantastic but not terrible, it tasted very bland but it was edible, however we think it should contain pesto, my mum ordered a latte witch I believed she liked, i had a Spanish lemonade, they didn't have any fizzy drinks at all, they only had 3 to 4 cold drink options and my lemonade was bitter and sour, the tables were dirty and so was the floor, the rolls and paninis choices weren't massive, but at least they had some choice, very friendly staff but quite expensive, 6/10 experience
