Just had a fabulous meal in El Gordon's. What value for the price. £17 for a three course meal, and every course was fabulous. Reasonably priced wine and beer to match, what more do you need. Well done Gareth and team.

We visited on a Sunday, the Sunday dinners looked lovely, but my friend & I both had the seafood medley. It was absolutely delicious, my only criticism is that a finger bowl would come in handy with such dishes, but the food was delicious! Generous portions and the wine we had to accompany the meal was beautiful. The dessert was excellent too! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and cosy.

We had a fabulous lunch from the special 2 courses for £12 menu. The quality of the meat was exceptional with great sauces and a choice of potatoes. Green veg was an extra (£4) but the portions are generous so one portion is fine for up to 3 people. The service was attentive and there was a lovely ambience in the dining room. The pate starter I had was superb and my friends also enjoyed their starters. We will definately be back soon so thanks Gareth and Heather for a great meal.

Fantastic Sunday lunch as usual.Too much food! Everything cooked to perfection, and great value for money can’t get any better ,quality, so tasty and worth a lot more than they charge.Nearly everyone takes doggie bags home. No one in miles of the area as we well know can compete with this restaurant. The staff are lovely and the owners are so obliging.WELL DONE ( the cabbage is to die for)

I anticipated fighting off the cattle and sealife with a huge skewer. Alas, the options were very limited. The chalkboard was empty and the menu was very much standard fare. It was all nice, just underwhelming after reading the chef's launch interviews.

With large prominent signage that one isn’t likely to miss in the late evening, Burger & Co is a fairly large establishment located on Commercial Street. Going by the motto: “Eat meat, drink, repeat,” the decor inside is clean and modern, with plenty of red giving this place an American diner feel and look. Having launched in early 2017, this fully Halal restaurant is spaciously set out, with comfortable cushioned seating for around 40 customers, and in a prime location opposite one mosque and around the corner to another. Burger & Co says its “aim is to provide a range of creative burger ideas as well as unique side orders to the people of Newport”. Menu Recommendation Drink - Nutterly Butterly Main - Lahori Tikka Burger Dessert - Chocolate Filled Mini Churros HALAL STATUS: Fully Halal
