Disappointing. Have visited this venue almost every month if not more. Have always been happy with their service. However, the past twice that we have visited the customer service has been terrible. Starting from a few weeks ago, i visited with my friend on a quiet tuesday, not many other customers, i still needed to go up and ask for our order to be taken. Me and my friend ordered a smoothie and an iced tea. Our drinks took 25 minutes to come out, one of which a customer from outside got served our ice tea by mistake, about 10 minutes later the customer realised and told staff, we watched the customer take a sip out of the iced tea a couple of times. Then we watched a young man bring the same iced tea to our table to which we had let him know that it has been drank out of. Now today, we’ve came for my mother’s birthday, understandable it’s a weekend so i completely understand the wait times will be sufficiently longer than a weekday. However, when seated we were sat down for 20 minutes before i went up to the counter myself and ask if they would come and serve us. After being served, no apology. We had ordered at 12:50pm and didn’t get our food until 1:40pm. In my order, i asked if the crispy onions or any onions gets put on the side, just from the fact that i’d had given the onions to my mam. However, they weren’t crispy onions they were onion rings which is fine, but the previous time we ordered it was crispy onions and that’s what is in the description and crispy onions were on the last order when i had it before, and the sandwich came to us and looked completely different than the previous order, the past order had sprinkled parmesan cheese on a nice sandwich toast and this order was just like a toasty, like they couldn’t be bothered. It was pickled onions in my cheeseburger grilled sandwich, i had told them to take it back and as i’ve already been waiting 50 minutes for the food to arrive. They taken it away with no apology, only that they’ve been really busy and have been catching up with orders, which i completely understand but it would have been nice to know this before ordering to decide whether we can wait that long. When they acknowledged that my order was wrong, another lady came over again with no apology and asked me whether she wants me to scrape off the pickled onions off my food and hand it back to me. If i had wanted to do that i would’ve done it myself. So i had to sit there and go without food. We watched other people who had arrived after us, get served and eat and leave before us. It’s disappointing, i’m unsure whether there is new management or owners but as a regular customer it’s really upsetting to see it and sad also for the community.

Went with my Mum for breakfast. There is not a single item for vegans on the menu. When we asked we were brought a piece of paper that one option was vegetarian breakfast bit ask for vegan. No further info on what was different but server confirmed you get a vegan sausage instead of halloumi and egg. Food came, one vegan breakfast and one vegetarian. The vegan food was cold and both breakfasts were missing the Portobello mushrooms. We queried this later and we're told they were out of mushrooms which really theu should have told us about when ordering. We also ordered a mocha drink and hot chocolate with oat milk. The hot chocolate was cold. We then ordered a side of beans for my daughter when she woke and a further two drinks, hot chocolate with oat milk extra hot, and decaf tea. The hot chocolate was hot this time but my Mum took a sip and it sadly was not oat milk but cows milk. My daughter has a milk allergy which we had notified the server when being seated so this is very poor as if we had given her some of this it would have made her ill. Luckily we did not give any to her but my Mum is vegan so this is also very unacceptable. Another server then came over with decaf tea. We had already been served our tea which I then looked at and it was not decaf. Very poor and served food not as advertised and two drinks that were not what we ordered.

Took my wife up to check out the new selection of Free From Cakes that they are now stocking and we thought we would grab a bite to eat. As she is Coeliac it was great to see such a wide selection available on the menu and a true understanding of her requirements. She had a GF Ruben Grilled Sandwich and I had the Onion Bhaji Grilled Sandwich; both were amazing!! The service was fantastic and the staff were really friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially for those with dietary requirements.

1st ever visit to this place and not really impressed with the service. After waiting in the queue for about 10 mins and tables were vacant, I had to ask one of the young girls if we could sit on the vacant table, as no one was interested in taking us to the table.. Once sat down we waited and waited for someone to take our order, but again the youngsters were congragating at the counter, not looking who needed service, eventually after 20 mins a young lad came over and couldn't apologise enough for the lack of service, we had only gone there for a quick coffee and a cake, which he offered us on the house. Maybe a bit of training for the young staff, to make sure they know who needs to be served and most importantly not ignore people who are waiting to be seated... Not sure if I will try it again but never say never...hopefully things would have improved if I do....

We had lunch. I had the Chicken Katsu. This dish was 99% fries, not skin on fries as advertised. I had a piece of chicken cut into three pieces, and the outside was so hard I could not bite into and the inside was so dry I could not eat it. I took this tiny bit of chicken home to my dogs. I had two small pieces of pickled shallots, a meal that is charged at £15, expensive plate of fries. I wish I had taken a photo to be honest. Totally dissatisfied. My partner had the Korean Loaded Fries, again there were more greasy waffles than meat. Again an expensive plate of waffles with a fried egg at £15.

Lovely atmosphere. Great coffee. Ordered the breakfast for myself and son. We dropped the black pudding & hash browns. Added an extra sausage. Was charged the full £12 plus another £2 for one sausage? Surely that should have balanced itself out? Rather expensive…. Didn’t realise until I got home and checked receipt.

Queued for 25 mins to sit down, which was our choice, but then a further 45 mins for two small breakfasts, meaning we didn't eat until 12:15pm. Although it was well presented and tasty, it arrived cold but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning them. It was also uncomfortably chilly due to the air conditioning. In general really underwhelming and doubt we'll be returning.

The deli has delicious looking foods and the shop has great range of items. We pop into the cafe often for coffee, cake and a catch up. They have a variety of cakes and brownies on offer if you just want a little treat. This week the young woman who brought our bill was extremely rude.I could mention her name but on this occasion I wont. She the bill onto the table and barked that we had ten minutes. We were that shocked that we laughed. We expected something along the lines of, just to let you know that we will be closing in ten minutes..... but no, we had her bark at us. Let's just say, in hospitality,that's Not the way to treat customers. So,if you go here, fingers crossed your server has a better attitude than ours did.

The food here is always delicious, the staff are always super friendly and there’s a great atmosphere. The menu had changed since our last visit with lots more tasty options, including lots of great veggie/vegan dishes. We went for the onion bhaji grilled cheese flatbread and the beef brisket rice bowl with a side of fries…all were super tasty.

We visited for a festive afternoon tea and the food was excellent. Lovely vegetarian savoury selection, best I’ve ever had. Nice to have a good savoury selection rather than too many sweet items. Lots of cakes too and scones. Serving staff were friendly and polite. Only criticisms, it was cold in the restaurant and the seats were hard. Awful music being played too! There’s a lovely shop to browse around before or after visiting the restaurant as well as a deli counter. Definitely recommend visiting the restaurant, we will return.

Just got back from the Korean evening. Food was delicious and helpings very generous. Staff were friendly, helpful and on the ball. Never had to wait or ask twice for anything. Musician was wonderful, wide choice of music played on a variety of instruments. Not sure if some of the people who commented had visited the same restaurant or whether they employ different staff in the evenings. Everything was great, value for money in attractive surroundings, thank you.

Service not good. Waited a long time for our order to be taken so in the end ordered at counter where there were 3 members of staff hanging around. Disappointed that couldn't order anything from the deli counter where the food looked amazing. Waited a long time to pay so in the end went back to counter to pay. Fabulous shop with great gifts and frozen meals etc.

Ok, so this is the second time I have tried this venue. To give some clarity, the first occasion we waited for over half an hour without anyone coming to take our order, hence we went to the coffee mill in Rsca. ( Much better service ). Our visit this time was greeted by a very friendly staff member who duly cleaned a table for us and was prompt in taking our order. Her advice was great and she understood the menu clearly. So far so good... I ordered the cheese burger and my wife a Hoggie ( with chips......... ) What I should have anticipated was the insane wait for our food. If this is a place you want to visit during a lunch break from work, don't unless you have plenty of time on your hands. I should have known following my first visit! After a crazy amount of time to wait we can see another waitress wandering around with what appeared to be our food, not understanding our tables numbers. After a return to the kitchen pass, someone must have told her and along came our food. At this point, we really needed to get on with our food, but the waitress stopped for a quick chat with us. She was pleasant enough, but when my wife asked why they hadn't put chips on her plate, she replied they don't come with the hoggie. We advised the other waitress told us she would give us chips ( for clarity she didn't say there was an additional charge for this ), however she advised us that the other waitress shouldn't be telling us this as they don't come with chips. We ate the meal, the food was ok to be fair, despite my burger not being particulary hot. ( This may have something to do with its trek around the restaurant trying to find me ) but would I come back, god no! I went to pay the bill and fortunately I checked as they charged me for an additional chips I didn't even get! I usually tip all staff for their service, but on this occasion it fell well below expectation with miss advice, wrong order and then incorrect billing. The only nice thing I can say about this place is the decor. It is in keeping with what it says, a garden. That said, I can visit a garden Centre if I want and save myself the trouble of this service! And on that note, try the old Blooms garden centre at Marshfield. Similar environment, but the food and service a different class!

This was our fourth Twelve night. Has definitely improved since the first ones we booked onto. Food was really good quality and delicious. Good portions and loved the upgrade of crockery! Staff were very friendly and provided a good service. Shame they wasn’t any live music like prior evenings. The menu had changed since booking and I felt there were two courses which were too similar to have them one after the other- lambs mousakka and stifado. I would have split them up on the menu. The other suggestion would be to slow down the pace as I feel like the courses were a bit fast and got full quicker than if there was a bit of a gap between the courses. Staff weren’t forthcoming with the bill even though we had finished everything. Overall a nice night but maybe some improvements.

Terrible food. terrible price. terrible service. Half the menu missing. A waiter was more interested in her nails than serving us. We had to wait up too an hour to be served.

One of my favourite places to meet up with friends for lunch and drinks. The food is gorgeous, the setting is stunning and the service is top class. Highly recommended 💕

I have been wanting to visit here for a while based on other people's reviews and photos on Instagram. Finally managed to visit for lunch with a friend and was not disappointed. Had the smashed avocado and halloumi on sourdough toast which I would recommend if you visit. There is a large menu to choose from, also serving alcoholic drinks as well as teas & coffees. Attached is a small shop selling artisan style foods and chutneys as well as some home decor which is really nice to have a little nose around whilst you're there. I also noticed from the special boards that they put on events such as wreath, making and breakfast with Santa which is a nice touch. I look forward to visiting again soon

Had a fantastic experience this week! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the Bacon Cheeseburger was one of the best burgers I've had! Already recommended to a few friends and plan to go back for that burger very soon!

I often visit this restaurant and I have to say it is always lovely food. I have a gluten intolerance and they are very accommodating. They can adapt most meals to be gluten free. There is also a cake available that is also gluten free.
