The best restaurants serving British food in Newport South Wales

Ordered an afternoon high tea and a savoury yesterday, the food was lovely plenty of filling in the sandwiches, I phoned to say something was missing from the high tea and in no time it was reckifed , but not just one item they sent more. First class service as always, have ordered Sunday roast dinners for tomorrow which in sure will be excellent thanks royal mail

First visit today to Lily’s hideaway and it did not disappoint. We had the savoury and sweet afternoon tea which was amazing and very generous. The staff were fabulous, very welcoming and attentive. The garden area was lovely and there was plenty of shade. Would definitely recommend

Tasted as good as it looked and it looked wonderful. Very friendly and helpful service. My mother was delighted with it.

This is the cleanest “burger van” I have ever visited! Great mix of rolls, sandwiches etc. If you’re local you really should try it for a bacon roll.

Disappointed Insta pics look a lot better than in the flesh … food was average , menus were dirty , plates and cutlery felt old … sauces were cheap or old … overall it could be very good food if they brushed up on allot of things would I return … not for a while

We had our Xmas lunch there and I opted for creamy mushrooms to start and Belly pork for main. Both great & a lovely crunch on pork belly crackling.

When you are closed try to update google page about this. Or leave a voice note when called to given number. Don't care about the customer I think it's permanently closed.

Awesome but never open on a Sunday anymore

Lovely atmosphere and the owner is just awesome. I love the concert memories on the walls. Nice cooked breakfast to start me on my day. It is extra for a hot chocolate with breakfast but I accept that with me being a pain not drinking tea or coffee.

He estado viniendo a Cefn Manly durante años, pero ha pasado un tiempo, así que pensé que tendríamos la cena del domingo para un placer! Siempre un buen ambiente, y lo disfruté! Encontramos que la comida tardó un poco en salir y estaba ligeramente fría. Además, el lado del queso de coliflor era acuoso! Podríamos haber abordado esto en su momento, pero esto está en reflexión. Pensé que las jóvenes sirviendo eran muy educadas y podían ver que estaban trabajando duro. En general, decentes solo algunos ajustes que podrían haberlo hecho mejor. ¡Nos vemos pronto!

Had a gorgeous vegetarian roast dinner today with my mum. Food was delicious, so flavourful. All cooked fresh. We ordered extra sides of garlic roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and braised onion. All fantastic. The veg option was a kale and apricot bake, really tasty. Top friendly service too, we'll be back.

Best food I've had!!excellent service, price is brilliant. My favourite restaurant anywhere. The owners are lovely
