Arrived at 12.45pm and closed despite staff sat in eating. Open times state open til 2.00pm? Very disappointing

Amazing place for something to eat and drink! Had a couple morning glory and tea and an americano, coffee was tasty and very hot. Tea made nice and strong served in a mug! Food was swift and very tasty full of flavour. Cannot fault the food at all! Cannot fault the prices at all, £9.50 for enough to fill even a hardened eater!

This is a wonderfully unique grilled cheese restaurant / take away run by a local man, and it’s nice to support an individual rather than a mass chain. There’s a huge selection of grilled cheese sandwiches which are all made fresh to order so you can take some control about what goes in them and the owner is very friendly and willing to accommodate. The fries and nachos sides are a meal in themselves! Go there when you’re hungry and you won’t be disappointed. My favourite is the chilli con carnage made with freshly home made chilli and then I add blue cheese for that salty kick! The drinks are worth a mention. The coffee is great and again they support another little local supplier Scout Coffee which made a really good cup of Joe. The cold drinks include nice iced teas (Charitea) and lemonades (LemonAid) and if you have room they have some amazing locally baked cakes and brownies. The vibe is modern and laid back and I love all the plants thriving there. Great place to have lunch and support a number of local enterprises. Love the funny quirky names of the sandwiches as well

The food that was delivered was the wrong order. When trying to resolve the issue, i was promised a call from the manager at some point in the day. I never got any call, despite me calling the restaurant again.

This place was recommended by family and we were not disappointed. Delicious toasted sandwiches - lots of choices for fillings - make sure you are not on a diet when you visit! Staff were friendly. Coffees were nice and a good selection of beverages. Will definitely be back.

Have been wanting to come here for many years. Finally did, and found it was a lovely place to sit, the staff were friendly, the food came quick. It was not bad, in fact it was very good, I think i just hyped it up too much in my head. Definitely worth a visit, but too expensive to make it a regular thing. The Macho Nacho with Bacon, Chorizo and Halloumi was very good. The mac and cheese one was not what I was hoping for. Overall, a must try!

Dry burnt toast cold cheese no sauce tried to ring cafe not answering absolutely horrible had to throw it away. Waste of £13 not including delivery will never use again. I didn’t want to leave a bad review, had no choice as could not get answer. Steer clear

Absolutely love this place. They do the best grilled cheese with there own blend, my menu favourites are the chilli con carnage and the mac daddy. The brownies are amazing as well the perfect size 👌 10/10 would recommend

Been meaning to try here for a while and finally made it. Had the chili con carnage. Absolute huge grilled cheese sandwich filled to the brim with chili, jalapeños and cheese and so comforting. Warning. Will leave you in an afternoon food coma so partake at your own risk. Looking forward to trying some of their others. Place was also very clean and had a good amount of seating. Adequate 1 hour street parking just around the corner.

I’m really disappointed. The sandwich was lovely. Halloumi fries £7.00 it’s is just halloumi that has been cut into strips and mine is burnt. They are not fries, they are grilled halloumi. The chilli jam was that try I couldn’t use it as a dip. :(

Quite a nice lunch spot, has a good decor/aesthetic and nice atmosphere. The waitress was very cheerful and nice taking our order quickly. It was quite small so there isn’t a lot of seating but it’s not a problem. The toasties were quite nice, the parmesan was a nice touch on top (along with the nice crunch of the onions in the cheese), although at sometimes i did find myself with a mouthful of cheese that took a while for me to chew but that’s what happens with a very cheesy toastie! The portion sizes are a nice size not too small or large. I’m personally not a fan of the wotzits crisps on the side but that is just a personal preference. Overall a nice simple place to eat a quick bit of lunch. 😊

accidentally ordered the Mac and cheese rather than the breakfast sandwich. I do like Mac and cheese but this to be fair was sadly a bit bland and dull I didn't hugely enjoy it considering it's price, other menu items are alot better.

Holy Cheesus in Newport is seriously amazing. The place has this cool vibe, and the grilled cheese sandwiches are like, next-level good. I'm not a food expert, but the flavors are just perfect – it's like they know the secret to making the best comfort food ever. The people working there are super nice too. If you're into grilled cheese or just want a really tasty meal, Holy Cheesus is the spot. Five stars, no doubt!

We were on our way to catch a train and had 40 minutes to spare, so me and a group of my family popped in holy cheesus to have a coffee. We had a very good coffee , my brother had a cold drink and we were very happy with the service we had, we will be back again. Thanks

Great food and delivery… Holy Cheesus are always brilliant… and if you’re considering other options, particularly burgers and chips… NOTHING travels better than grilled cheese!! If anything it gets even better.

After consumption of many "Morning glories" from the Just eat delivery robbers, I visited. No Morning glory, but a Hallou is it mi you're looking for? Still an epic sammich, morning glory knocks spots off all of what they offer... I think I'll be telling just eat to sling their hook and picking it up, just because it's fresh and tell them, their sandwiches are awesome. Recommend to anyone.

Food was delicious, driven past numerous times over the years but never dropped in until now. Service was quick both in taking order and bringing food out. Atmosphere wasn't great but to be fair to the place, they were just about to clean up and close shop with orders ending at 15:00 and I believe we arrived at 14:45. Would definitely recommend it if in the local area.

Some great choices on the menu. Amazing food options and amazing service! Recommend the dirty fries too! Also, a great little place if you just fancy coffee and cake. Fab coffee, great cake! Will definitely be back :)

The menu is very comprehensive and reasonably priced. The decorative style compliments the brand strap line, looks clean, nice and modern. Service was good and cheerful.

This time, as an avid fan of the Morning glory with mushrooms and black pudding, I was disappointed as it appears I had the ends and all the burnt bits and not have the care that normally gets put into these epic cheese overdoses. Appeared to have been thrown together. Sorry, Holy cheesus... Not as Holy cheesus as all the other times I order.

Worth the hype!! The toastie was amazing, got the classic one and wow it was so filling! The interior and vibe is nice, doesn’t even feel like Newport (more a hip and trendy cafe in Bristol) and there’s a cute dog that roams about! If you are in the area then come, one of the best things in Newport

The cheese toastie was delicious, sadly the biscoff cream cup wasn't, which made me sad as I was really looking forward to it. It was way too hard.

I love the food. But it's frustrating that they will randomly not do delivery or even take orders, it's happened on three separate occasions now. Makes me sad. I would drive down if they rang and explained something like a lack of delivery drivers rather than just canceling my orders I really look forward to my cheesy hart disease filled pockets of joy 😭

Cheese lover’s heaven! What more can I say? Brilliant selection of grilled cheese sandwiches, with some really creative varieties. Friendly staff and cool decor too. Such a good vegan sandwich, I went for the jo no pastrami which although no pastrami was offered an alternative in it and to be honest made no negative to the sandwich. The service took a little longer than may have at other times but we did get an apology during this time amd could see that a big order had been placed before us. The iced coffee was amazing as well, such a good one amd able to get oat milk was great. We look forward to a return. The only criticism really is no high chair for younger children, but the sandwich for the child we had a box to take with us and was enjoyed a bit later so for even criticism it was catered for. I would recommend to vegetarians and vegans for a good toasted sandwich. Not the largest vegan selection but tastes great and customisation available to increase what is available. I certainly will return, just wish I took a photo but it looked too good and I wanted to eat it straight away.

These amazing guys did a pop up stall at Cheesefest. They were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All I heard was how amazed friends were that the guys attended and the food was as fantastic as in store. The food was stunning and I hope you guys are at any other events we attend as they are brilliant. I would highly recommend to friends and family. All I can say is give them atry you won't be disappointed!

Coffee tasty but served in a tin cup. Greeted by a sheep dog wanting to play ball. I’m sure he’s nice but he kept pestering us whilst we sat. Also served a chocolate cake that was rock hard. When we complained she gave us a knife - that didn’t work so we asked for a refund. Toilet not clean and no hand towels. Won’t be back

This cafe is a little gem. The food is filling and delicious and is reasonably priced. The decor is nice and the staff and friendly and helpful. If you like cheese what are you waiting for head on down and sample the lovely food

Lovely food, amazing flavor but the only slight downside was the toasted sandwich was wrapped in foil so when it arrived the condensation made the bread wet.

Nice vegan options that are a little different washed down with oat milk cappuccino. Just love the name - it caught my eye and made me laugh! Nicely decorated and very clean. The only thing I didn't like was the loud music - but that might just be my age as I prefer to chill in the morning 😊

Walked in and ears assaulted by heavy metal music, also cold as no heating on so couldn't stay to eat.

Amazing food at Cheesefest, everyone was blown away at the food, which was freshly cooked. Absolutely everyone at Cheesefest ate from them and you did not disappoint just as good as the food you serve in store. I can only tell people how great the food is so I highly recommend you give these guys a try!

An amazing edition to CheeseFest! We had a Holy Cheesus this weekend at CheeseFest and it was amazing! We’ve been to the store a few times so were so excited to hear they had a pop up shop at the festival we were attending. I had the vegan pastrami toastie & my husband has the chilli con carnage which was incredible. The nachos as a side are a must too!! Super friendly staff really welcoming & couldn’t do enough for us. So pleased Holy Cheesus is also mobile! Would definitely use & recommend for any events. Thanks both!

OMG gluten free heaven ! These guys are incredible. They recently did a pop up at cheesefest (as they are available for hire). They are incredibly knowledgeable about gluten free. Everybody at the festival had nothing but amazing words to say about the food and the owners who are just lovely. In the shop in Newport, they also do the most delicious gluten free flapjack….. must have ! 100% my favourite place to eat 😊

If you love cheese this is the place to go. Absolutely stunning toasties loaded with fillings. We had the R n Brie and Mac Daddy they were so fresh and tasty and I loved the side portion of cheese puffs. We also tried the dirty fries with added chorizo, bacon and halloumi and they were insane, highly recommend.

I would highly recommend holy cheesus as the food and the staff were amazing especially the coffee. Also they let my dog into the shop so if you have a dog you don’t have to take the time to tie the leash outside. I ordered a toastie with seasoned dirty fries on the side. Holy cheesus is also a 5 minute walk from the train station 👍🧀🧀🧀

Fantastic little shop selling the most amazing Grilled toasted sandwiches. So filling and something for everyone with awesome dirty fries to go alongside. I mean who doesn't love a melted cheese toasty

Tasty grilled cheese sandwich with marmite, I also had loaded chips (need to be warned how big it was) unfortunately couldn't finish it all.

Had no taste. The nachos had to much sauce that had no flavour which was a shame as it could have been amazing with the fresh peppers and spring onion. The sandwich I had the Mac daddy wasn't bad but again had no taste apart from the burnt bread which was very mushy. Doubt I will try again
