My friend and I visited for a hopeful chilled evening. There was a singer on too. Booked a table via the Facebook post and communication was prompt. On arrival, we were a bit worried as we were seated very close to the singer and felt that due to the small space also, it would all be a bit loud, but the volume was spot on. Great song selection and fab singer. Charcuterie board was to die for. Not too much, not too little and a good selection. Atmosphere wonderful. So chilled. Wine (pinot Grigio) was gorgeous - my friend commented on how lovely it was. We had to have a second bottle to make sure…. And the staff that were in were really amazing. Attentive and lovely but not too in your face. My friend hadn’t been to you before (I have for a cocktail and another time for a coffee and cake - both times fabulous) and she loved it. And she’s fussy! I know you can book for private parties also. I highly recommend for a day date, evening date, friends evening, self care coffee stop or party.

Quality, strong coffee and cute, beautiful decor tipped this from a 3 to a 4 out of 5. The food and customer service left something to be desired. See the pics, we had avo on sourdough with a sausage (no eggs on the menu), the avo needed more lime and seasoning, when we asked for some salt and pepper we were told, 'its already in there but ok I'll get you some' and then gave us minimal sachets, the same happened with sugar, we felt restricted on the number of sachets we were allowed as the server literally dished them out one by one. I've never had avo mushed so much and spread on the toast before, it felt like they were trying to give us the least amount of avo possible. The menu also didn't state the balsamic glaze so what if you didn't like/want that? The sausage looked cheap, tasted ok but probably cos it reminded me of my childhood. The place is tiny which we liked, it had one large toilet and the baguettes looked delicious, we'd have a baguette and coffee (£7) if we went back.

The.restaurant is absolutely lovely in an oldy worldy pub with a large car park which includes disabled parking. On entering the establishment we were welcomed and shown to our table by an extremely likeable and attentive young man who looked after us throughout our visit and I would say he went above and beyond with his service. We were celebrating a visit of family from New Zealand and friends recommended this venue. Now to the meals, I’m afraid this is where our recommendations must end, the food was poor to say the least and the portions minute, in fact the food looked lost on a dinner plate.. the chips were absolutely awful, dried up, wrinkly and looked and tasted reheated from the day before, these were served in a silver cup, so on the plate was the smallest rump steak I’ve ever seen, it measured approximately 50mm x75mm and half a grilled tomato. I ordered my stake cooked medium it was. Served very well done and tough to chew. The only saving grace were the overpriced deserts which were lovely. I thought everything was overpriced not just the sweets. Would we go again? Definitely not once bitten twice shy I did tip the waiter as he was exceptional

Went as a couple on valentines day, and when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant (and had a booking) however the waitress directed us to sit on a sofa before we could go to our table, this was just an indicator of how the night was going to go... I'll start with the positives, the food was hot and tasty, and there was a good selection of vegetarian options, I definitely suggest the paneer chilli masala! My vegetable vindaloo was not spicy at all however, which was disappointing. Not the best indian food I have ever eaten, but not the worst... Unfortunately the negatives far outweighed the positives. The service was slow and odd, to say the least. The waitress took our drinks order then proceeded to go and wrap cutlery instead of fetching the drinks, eventually they arrived, followed by our popadoms. Our dirty plates from the popadoms were left with us whilst we ate our starters. A long wait later our main courses arrived. Once we had nearly finished the main courses, the smoke alarm went off. No apologies from any of the staff, and no indication that it was going to be turned off. We asked for the bill, and the only other table asked for their food to takeaway, as there was no indication the deafening noise was going to end. We were then informed there was no card machine, so I had to sit listening to the smoke alarm for ten minutes whilst my partner found a cash point. A little advance warning if this would go a long way! As we walked round to the taxi rank we could still hear the alarm sounding. Overall a weird experience, made worse by the constant alarms and chirping from the bar area, and the deafening smoke alarm at the end! A lack of music in a completely empty restaurant makes for a very uncomfortable experience. If this hadnt been chosen and booked as a valentines treat by my partner I doubt I would have visited, and I cant say that I will visit again, as the food quality did not outweigh the issues listed above.
