The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Newport South Wales

What a find! I used Google to locate a breakfast between Cardiff and Clevedon as we didn't want to go into the city and it did not disappoint. It was busy with cyclists having coffee and pastries, locals buying bread and friends meeting up. The food was superb. We had bacon in freshly baked rolls and all took away pastries or sweet treats. My brioche bread and butter slice was chuffing awesome! It's obviously very well frequented by people who live locally. What an asset!

I honestly had the most delicious plate of wholesome food. I had a cheesy jacket potato with a selection of salads and Katy brought me a small dish of a date and cashew salad that was to die for. Jacket potatoes simple though they are have to be done right..and this one was! My friend had a delicious bowl of carrot and coriander soup. Perfect. Thank you!

This coffee shop owner refused to allow a small schoolchildrens' choir to stand in front of their outside seating area. This was for the unveiling of one of the Monumental Welsh Women's statue group - for Lady Rhondda. It was for just one hour on September 26th - where prominent women members of society, government, writers and poets were attending. They would all have wanted coffee and snacks after as the coffee shop the otherside was offering that to all. What a silly person and cafe owner - a missed marketing opportunity and he lost lots of customers. No doubt people from Newport won't go there because of his snub. Who cares about the quality of the coffee as it is just as nice if not better at Hortons cafe opposite.

Best in Newport and surrounding area , very good prices for very good food highly recommended go on give it a try if in the area.

I really enjoy getting baguettes and brownies from fresh start after I do the school run. Everything is freshly made , they fill the baguettes right up. I do find it’s a little expensive but that doesn’t stop me from returning. The girls are nice and friendly , there’s quick and efficient service and a lovely show of brownies, cookies and other cakes also

Driest chicken breast I’ve ever eaten, absolutely no stuffing in the xmas burger, freezing cold chips. This place isn’t cheap so you’d expect a lot better!

Had a fantastic brunch at the Brunch with Santa yesterday, the food was lovely, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. I had never been to The Green before but had been recommended and will certainly be back. From start to finish it was perfect and it was incredibly well managed. My little girl had the most amazing time and Santa was brilliant. Can’t wait to book for next year. Thank you x

Great family run local, lovely food and a huge Sunday roast....

This is a regular stop off for me en route from work and I’ve never had a bad thing to say about the place. Great coffee, lovely food, reasonable prices and fantastic staff who really do go out of their way to ensure you’ve had a good experience. Parking can be a bit of an issue sometimes, but the site is shared with other tenants, so it’s outside of their hands.

Great food good service surprised me with the quality of the steaks we had my wife said the best stake she has had in a long time

Really nice setting in the old town, with great decor, good cabinet food and fantastic staff. But please work a little more on the coffee - a little watery!

Nice little coffee-housw with excellent service, great coffee & breakfast on walking distance from station and city-centre. Nice place!
