The Little Tap House in Newport

One of the few places in Newport that has craft beer available. The owner was super friendly and attentive and so was his dog scout. A variety of retro consoles downstairs too!

Such a frieldny little place, I will be making this my default place for meet ups and drinks. Something for everyone, comfy, really friendly atmosphere, the kind of place Newport has been needing for a while! I really hope this place does well and is here for years to come.

Nice place reasonably priced but only one unisex toilet which is a nightmare as are the dogs. Beer good. Should have non dog days.

Fast service and knowledgeable, friendly atmosphere and they have a small beer shop on site as well!

Went here on it’s opening day. A lovely atmosphere, really warm and friendly. Had a sandwich and latte, both delicious and a good selection to choose from, and reasonably priced. There is also several beers, wines or spirits if you prefer. There is more seating downstairs, where it is very atmospheric and you can also play on retro electronic or board games (I didn’t!!) . A great little place to sit and chat, or play!

Visited this premises on it's first day of opening. The welcome was really friendly and relaxed. You are aware from the moment you walk in that this is a cafe bar. The very impressive coffee machine and four keg lines with a cask on the bar. But there is more, in a back room is an impressive selection of bottle beer for sale and it goes on! Downstairs they have more seating and retro gaming area. The ground floor area is very nicely decorated, the premises was a tattoo Parlour in its past life, there is a selection of seating we sat in two very nice high back leather chairs which were very comfortable and probably explains why we spent so long on our visit, well that the excellent cask beer and two great hosts. Toilet facilities are downstairs and this should be taken into account for people who are less able. The selection of food on offer looked really nice and locally sourced. We shall return to try the coffee which if it's half as good as they keep their beer should be really good.
