It was my first visit. We bought few sandwiches and a custard slice. The sandwiches were delicious - fresh bread, tasty meat. The custard slice had a lovely crusty pastry.

My girlfriend and her family have been raving about the Sandwich bar for some time and given the sandwich expert I am i just had to try it out. It did not disappoint!! Greeted warmly straight away by the charming owner who was more than friendly despite the end of gruelling week and being up since dawn. The sandwiches were equal to the customer service and When I learned that the provenance of the components of my well crafted beast Of a sandwich came From Local butchers and bakeries I was delighted. Amazing place, great quality sandwiches and most importantly the size was huge. I shall be returning in the future. Ben

Lovely sandwich shop, the woman that owns the is incredibly sweet and welcoming. She also makes a mean sandwich! Would highly recommend if you’re on the area. It’s sort of a build your own type deal. Prices are great as well!

I have been visiting the Sandwich bar for around 15 years and it by far the best sandwich bar i have been too and believe me if have been to a lot. Large variety of fillings and extremely generous, amazing hot toasties, pasties, & cakes. I would highly recommend trying this place, you will soon be hooked & the owner is one of the nicest people ive met.

This establishment makes the best sandwichesand salad boxes. The shop is clean and follows Covid precautions. Top service and very affordable prices.

Being warmly welcomed by a small family team with smiles and laughter from the moment you walk in and to top it off with the best sandwiches I’ve come across. Who needs subway when there is a small local shops raising the bar.

Food hygiene rating of a 5 is a bit of a joke! Wearing gloves whilst prepping the food- great Still wearing the gloves whilst handling the money-not so great! Completely objectifies the point in wearing them! And for them to remember an order is mission impossible! Foods alright though

I place a regular order for colleagues at the sandwich bar and we are always so impressed. Fresh good quality ingredients, including ‘proper’ bread! Excellent value for money as the sandwiches are huge. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and we would never go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Best sandwich shop in Newport by far! The seeded bread is so good and so is their homemade coleslaw. You'll also find a decent selection of side snacks and drinks that don't cost the same as the sandwich or roll which seems to be rare these days. definitely recommend this place.

Have been there a few times now and the sandwiches are delicious and the prices are very good. The staff are very nice and friendly, i would definitely recommend you going there and trying one.

Just had, which has got to be one of the best sandwiches i have ever tasted, two lovely ladies put together a fantastic turkey salad on a granary roll. This place is a hidden gem.

A hidden gem in Newport. It's was my first visit and won't be the last 😀. Huge selection of fillings, fresh bread. And if you go on a Friday you get a free donut! The girls serving were very friendly and chatty. Everyone needs to try this place.

When we were doing up our house. The sandwich bar relieved our hunger on a number of occasions. Reasonably priced baguettes packed with filling. Just what I want from a baguette.

I am a regular to this sandwich bar. The staff are lovely and the owner Meriel is very friendly. All the food is freshly prepared every morning and there is a wonderful selection off fillings to choose from. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The salad boxes are awesome - go try them! Really lovely staff too. Quickly becoming a regular lunch destination. The honey chicken is my favourite so far! 😀

Definitely the best sandwich shop in Newport. Fresh breads, large variety of good quality fillings and friendly service. Great value for money and far superior to an identikit sandwich from Subway. Was a regular when I worked in the area, I'm now disappointed that it's a bit too far to walk at lunchtime!

Visited the sandwich bar on llanthewey rd in Newport, would highly recommend, if your in the area to try it, been there ten years so I am behind the times I guess lol, sandwiches are amazing, bread is so fresh and tasty and the fillings are to die for, pasties are on another level and the even do a salad box for ppl more healthy than me, great range of cakes too, and drinks and crisps available and to cap it all off its very very reasonable on the pocket !! well worth a try !!

Small sandwich shop run by a friendly lady who has the odd helper. Gets busy at lunch time. Open 9-2. Serves an array of sandwiches or baguettes on freshly baked white bread or nutty wholemeal which is divine. Also salad boxes. Fillings include cheese, ham, chicken/turkey/beef, egg mayo, mexican chicken, cajun chicken, tuna mayo, prawn mayo & mixed cheese. Locally baked. A small selection of cakes, crisps, fruit & soft drinks. Cheap & cheerful. Take out only.

I go to this sandwich bar everytime I'm working, they do the best sandwiches and salad boxes. You can have whatever baguette you want for £2.40 and any salad box for £2.60. The woman who works there is lovely and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area!
