Been in multiple times since lock down after previously visiting the Caerleon store. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The selections of fillings for your wrap / sandwich / salad is amazing too. Super helpful with my dietary requirements. The range of salad fillings is amazing too, including couscous, sun-dried tomatoes and olives. The portion sizes are incredible. I'd highly recommend the ham salad, Falafel and hummus or the onion bhaji and mango chutney. The brownies on offer are great too, tried to vegan one in Caerleon which is great hopefully in the future more dairy free options are added. Would eat lunch here everyday if I could

I like to believe I'm a curry connisure, This takeaway ticked all my boxes, especially the heat, and unless they let me down on future orders, they will remain my favourite in Newport.

If you're looking for an authentic and flavorful Indian dining experience, Taste of India is the place to be. From the moment you step in, the rich aroma of Indian spices welcomes you, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu offers a diverse selection of traditional Indian dishes, each prepared with a perfect balance of spices and fresh ingredients. I had the pleasure of trying their butter chicken, paneer tikka, and garlic naan, and every bite was an explosion of flavors. The butter chicken had a creamy texture with just the right amount of spice, while the paneer tikka was grilled to perfection, retaining its soft and smoky taste. The garlic naan was fresh, warm, and complemented the curries beautifully. One of the best aspects of Taste of India is that the food is cooked fresh, which does mean a bit of a waiting time. However, the wait is absolutely worth it. When the dishes arrived, they were hot, fresh, and full of flavor, proving that good food takes time to prepare. The service was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with traditional Indian décor that enhanced the authenticity of the meal. Overall, Taste of India is a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. The flavors, the quality of the food, and the overall dining experience make it a place worth returning to. If you're willing to wait a little for freshly prepared, delicious meals, this restaurant will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

I had previously booked a table for a group of 25 people for a leaving party. Arrived there 15mins ahead of booked time to find the building in darkness and a sign saying it was closed due to unforseen circumstances. I had no call, despite taking all contact detail at the time of booking. Sign left in the door by environmental health stated a NUMBER of things about RATS, in and around the food prep areas, food, drinks and their (rat) droppings. Diabolical customer services. Never mind cleanliness. Absolutely disgusting & then to find out the reasons are RATS! In their kitchen, cellar, bar, on their food and cooking utensils etc.

My partner and I chose this takeaway for it's high star rating. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed and unimpressed with our meals. Mine went in the bin. Mushroom rice was overdone and burnt in places. I can only describe the butter chicken as disgusting. Tikka chicken slices covered in sickly sauce with lumps of onion thrown on top. Waste of money.
