The best restaurants serving Indian food in Newport South Wales

Been in multiple times since lock down after previously visiting the Caerleon store. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The selections of fillings for your wrap / sandwich / salad is amazing too. Super helpful with my dietary requirements. The range of salad fillings is amazing too, including couscous, sun-dried tomatoes and olives. The portion sizes are incredible. I'd highly recommend the ham salad, Falafel and hummus or the onion bhaji and mango chutney. The brownies on offer are great too, tried to vegan one in Caerleon which is great hopefully in the future more dairy free options are added. Would eat lunch here everyday if I could

I like to believe I'm a curry connisure, This takeaway ticked all my boxes, especially the heat, and unless they let me down on future orders, they will remain my favourite in Newport.

Excellent service, beautiful food, 9 of us ate and everything was pipping hot. A lovely Mother's Day meal.

I had previously booked a table for a group of 25 people for a leaving party. Arrived there 15mins ahead of booked time to find the building in darkness and a sign saying it was closed due to unforseen circumstances. I had no call, despite taking all contact detail at the time of booking. Sign left in the door by environmental health stated a NUMBER of things about RATS, in and around the food prep areas, food, drinks and their (rat) droppings. Diabolical customer services. Never mind cleanliness. Absolutely disgusting & then to find out the reasons are RATS! In their kitchen, cellar, bar, on their food and cooking utensils etc.

We visited Hatti in search of authentic Indian food. My impression is it is Bangladesh and not Indian. Nevertheless the service was good, the portions were very good, and our overall experience was positive. My husband and I ordered lamb Bhunna and garlic chilli Chicken bahar, butter naan and papadams with the Hatti condiment tray. The lamb and chicken were tender but you could tell it was not freshly cooked chicken consistent with most restaurants these days. The sauce was too gelatinous and not enough individual spice flavor. The Naan was okay.

First time sitting down tonight. The restaurant is lovely and the food is gorgeous. The staff cannot do enough for you. Taz was our waiter tonight and he was lovely. Highly recommended this restaurant. Five star ⭐

Went here this evening with family. We really enjoyed our experience! Service was really good, the decor was so smart and tasteful and the food was just so delicious we ate the lot. We tried 2 special dishes on the menu, and they tasted exactly how they were described. Couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommend, and we will be back again!

Very disappointed. An Indian takeaway isn't the cheapest but don't mind paying it if the food is nice. However we found the food bland and the chicken very dry, not impressed at all .
